Manna for Your Morning

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us make a loud shout to Him with songs of praise. For Yahweh is a great God and a great King above all gods, — Psalms 95:2-3 (LSB) Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever. (Psalms 136:1 NLT) Be thankful that we have the honor and privilege to come boldly to the throne of our gracious God, where we receive His mercy, and find grace to help us when we need it most. (See Hebrews 4:16) May we do so with a humble and grateful heart. Yahweh is a faithful Father and His ear is always open to hear the voice of His children. First Thessalonians 5:18 (AMP) says: in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. And in the midst of everything be always giving thanks, for this is God’s perfect plan for you in Christ Jesus. — 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (TPT) This Scripture does not say, after the prayer has been answered, or when everything is good, give thanks. However, it does say in the midst of everything, be ALWAYS giving thanks. Whatever you are in the midst of today, continue to give thanks to YAHWEH. He is good and His plans for you are good. Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is compassionate. The LORD preserves the simple; I was brought low, and He saved me. Return to your rest, O my soul, for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you. For You have rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. (Psalm 116:5-8 NASB1995) What shall I render to the LORD for all His benefits toward me? (Psalm 116:12 NASB1995) May we offer to YAHWEH, a grateful heart and a sacrifice of thanksgiving.

“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.” — Matthew 2:1-2 (NASB) Jesus is always beckoning us to come to Him. Let us be like the wise men and come to bow down and worship King Jesus. Come to receive rest. In Matthew 11:28 (NASB), Jesus said,  “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.” Come to cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you. Come to receive salvation and be made whole. Let us be like the one leper in Luke 11:15-16, who was healed, and came back glorifying God and fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Jesus.

If circumstances are not ideal, thank God that He is bringing you through it. The situation is temporary. When you focus on lack, it makes your world seem small. Being thankful for what God has already provided helps to acknowledge our Source: our heavenly Father and it also allows room for multiple blessings to flow into our lives. Being thankful creates an atmosphere for miracles to take place. In Matthew 14, a multitude of people were with Jesus, in a deserted place and He instructed the disciples to feed them. Jesus got them to focus on what they had. Then he had everyone sit down on the grass as he took the five loaves and two fish.
