Awake & Arise

Image
For this reason He says, “Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine [as dawn] upon you and give you light.” Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. — Ephesians 5:14-16 (AMP) In Luke 22:45-46, when Jesus rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow, and said to them, “ Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation .” As believers, do not let us be found sleeping. May we stay awake, arise and live with honor, purpose and courage. God Knows

But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” So she went to inquire of the LORD. — Genesis 25:22 (NKJV) When Rebekah sensed a struggle between the babies in her womb, she inquired of the LORD and received the answer she sought. The mind of the intelligent and discerning seeks knowledge and eagerly inquires after it, but the mouth of the [stubborn] fool feeds on foolishness. (Proverbs 15:14 AMP). Don’t feed on the foolishness of worldly advice. When you sense a struggle, inquire of the One who knows it all. As you encounter puzzling circumstances, seek answers from the LORD. When you experience uneasy feelings that all is not well, ask for revelation from our heavenly Father and continually examine His Word for understanding.

Get Understanding

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. — Ephesians 1:18 (NLT) Happy and blessed is the person who gets understanding, drawing it from God’s Word and life’s experiences. (Proverbs 3:13 AMP). I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers (Ephesians 1:17-18 MSG). Amen!
