Manna for Your Morning

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. ” — John 6:37-38 (NASB1995) See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (See 1 John 3:1 NIV) Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. (Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT) With lovingkindness the heavenly Father draws us. And what a comfort to know that Yeshua accepts all who come to Him. Yeshua continually calls for ALL to come to Him and abide in Him. And like Yeshua, may we be about doing the will of our Heavenly Father Who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

The Voice Bible says our faith will blossom under pressure and teach us true patience as we endure. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the LORD forever. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. — James 4:8 (NLT) May we set our affections on the Lord and be totally devoted to Him. What the world has to offer is temporary and superficial. It is good for us to draw near to God (Psalm 73:8), for in Him we live and move and have our being, (Acts 17:28). Count on this: The wicked won’t get off scot-free, and God’s loyal people will triumph. (Proverbs 11:21 MSG) For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. (2 Chronicles 16:9a NKJV)

Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]. — Proverbs 16:3 (AMP) When we do things our own way or on our timetable we do not always get the results we want. Our plans succeed when we have the wisdom to seek God’s will first and follow His guidance. So commit whatever you do to the LORD, before you begin and throughout the whole process. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT)

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) In the midst of adversity, we do not lose heart. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all (2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV). When we get pressed, let’s press on! Press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us (Philippians 3:14 NLT). Press on knowing that God always leads us in triumph in Christ… (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV)!

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The LORD loves the godly. — Psalm 146:8 (NLT) If you are bogged down with burdens, cast your cares on the LORD and He will lift you up. If you have fallen into a dark pit of despair, or depression, reach out your hand to God and He will bring you out. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along (Psalm 40:2 NLT). The LORD lifts up the humble (Psalm 147:6). Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor (James 4:10 NLT). Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord (Psalm 4:6 AMP) and we shall be lifted up.

casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. — 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) Whatever care we have needs to be cast on the Lord, whether it is something we care about so much we don’t want anything to happen to it or whether it's a heavy, burdensome care that causes us anxiety and worry. The “ing” on the word cast, indicates that it is a continual process. When we cast something, we throw it. That means it doesn’t land anywhere near us. Leave that care in God's hands and let your mind stay on the Lord and He will keep you in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3).

O praise the Lord, all you nations! Praise Him, all you people! For His mercy and loving-kindness are great toward us, and the truth and faithfulness of the Lord endure forever. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)  — Psalm 117:1-2 (AMP) In this world, there is not much we can count on. However, as children of God, we can count on our heavenly Father's truth and faithfulness. He is always here with us. His mercies are new every morning. He always provides for our needs. He never leaves us as orphans. His loving-kindness towards us is great. It never runs out on us. Because His lovingkindness is better than life itself, our lips shall praise the Lord (Psalm 63:3). During times of trouble I called on the LORD. The LORD answered me and set me free from all of them. The LORD is on my side. I am not afraid. What can mortals do to me? Psalm 118:5-6 (GW) Troubles may come and troubles go. The LORD eventually sets us free from all of them, in His perfect time. Hallelujah! Our heavenly Father is on our side. If God is for us, who can be against us?

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Psalm 46:1-3 (NLT) God is with us during the storms and in the fiery furnace. Have courage, knowing that He is by your side and always ready to help. He will provide all that you need.

"But now the LORD says: '... for those who honor Me I will honor, and those who despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.' " 1 Samuel 2:30 (NKJ) When we honor the LORD, He occupies first place in our heart and His Word is the final authority in our lives. When we honor God, we depend on Him as our only source and we acknowledge that all we have belongs to Him, our finances, our children, our material possessions, etc. When we honor the LORD, He will honor us with supernatural blessings. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV) As we walk in love and perform acts of kindness, others may be inspired and do likewise. Encourage the people around you. Give them hope by speaking an uplifting word.
