Cling Tightly

Image
So now we must cling tightly to the hope that lives within us, knowing that God always keeps his promises! — Hebrews 10:23 (TPT) Let us hold tightly, without wavering, to the living hope we have in the LORD. For He who promised is reliable, trustworthy and faithful to His Word. In Hebrews 13:5, He assures us that He will never leave us or forsake us. Psalm 119:65 says, those who love God’s law will have great peace and nothing will make them stumble. Psalm 55:22 promises that, if we cast our cares on the LORD, He will sustain us. All the promises God has made are “Yes” in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). Which one are you standing in faith on?

Embrace the Word

“Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” — Mark 4:18-19 (NKJV) Once you have heard the word, don’t let the worries and cares of the world choke it out of you. Psalm 119:165 says, great peace have those who love His law, and nothing causes them to stumble. The entrance of His words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130) The Word of God gives us life. (Psalm 119:93) His word is a lamp to guide your feet and a light for your path. (Psalm 119:105) Unlike the things of this world that are temporary, the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8) Instead of being distracted with concerns about all the things you have to do and all the things you want to get, be like those who receive the word on good ground. “…they hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold...

An Encouraging Word

Image
A person’s anxiety will weigh him down, but an encouraging word makes him joyful. — Proverbs 12:25 (GW) God’s Word is the most encouraging Word of all. Philippians 4:6 (NKJV) tells us to be anxious for nothing. Instead of fretting, let us hide the Word of God in our hearts. (Psalm 119:11) His Word is practical and very powerful. It is the truth that stands forever. (Psalm 119:160) The Word is packed with promises. It is our comfort in affliction and it gives us life. (Psalm 119:50)  It revives our souls. (Psalm 119:25) Great peace have those who love His law, and nothing causes them to stumble. (Psalm 119:165) His Word gives us strength (Psalm 119:28). The entrance of His words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple. (Psalm 119:130) His word is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path. (Psalm 119:105 NLT) It shows us the way to fulfill God’s purpose and good plan for our lives. Delight yourself in His statutes. (Psalm 119:16)

Live Offense Free

Image
Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble. — Psalm  119:165 (AMP) “When you love God more than anything else, you will have great peace and nothing will cause you to stumble” (Pastor Matthew Pollock @The Way School of Ministry). Living free from offense, keeps us in good health. When we give place and priority to God's Word, we live in a higher place, above offense. A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense (Proverbs 19:11 NIV). This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men (Acts 24:16 NKJV).

See the Light!

Image
For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. — Psalm 36:9 (NKJV) The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us (Psalm 118:27a NIV) and in us. Open your eyes to see His light. Let it lead you to living fountains of waters. His light will show you the way to abundant and eternal life. In His light, there is great peace and everlasting joy. Wisdom and truth reside in the light of the LORD. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light! (Ephesians 5:8)

Great Peace!

Great peace have they who love Your law; nothing shall offend them or make them stumble.  — Psalm 119:165 (AMP) The path to great peace is a love for the Word of God. Treasure His Word in your heart and let it continually be in your mouth. Meditate on His Word day and night that you may do it. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will rule in your hearts and nothing will cause you to stumble or be offended. Amen!
