Deeply at Peace

Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:31-33 (MSG) When others abandon you, remember the Presence of God is with you. In His Presence, you have the power, peace and grace to do all He has called you to do. Even in the midst of difficulties and challenges, you will be unshakable and deeply at peace as you trust in Jesus.

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” — John 16:33 (CSB) In the Message Bible, Jesus said, “ I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world. ” (John 16:33) Even though we will experience suffering in this world, we can be unshakable and assured because in Jesus, we have a sure foundation. Because He has conquered the world, we can be courageous, and deeply at peace. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (MSG)

Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward… — 1 Samuel 16:13 (NKJV) After David was anointed to be the next king over Isarael, he ended up being on the run for his life. In 1 Samuel 19:2, Jonathan told David, “My father Saul seeks to kill you.”  David had to live as a fugitive and hide out in caves before he reigned as king. After God has given you a word or revelation of your purpose or destiny, know that you will encounter challenges and experience difficulties. But, no wicked scheme of the enemy can thwart the wonderful plans of our great God. The accomplishment of the dream comes with much effort. Jesus said, “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” (John 16:33 MSG). He is greater. Amen!

…strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God.”   — A cts 14:22 (NKJV) Paul and Barnabas encouraged the believers to continue in the faith, and they also warned believers that we will go through many (not a few) tribulations. The word “through” indicates forward movement, a step-by-step progression, a victorious outcome. No matter what adverse circumstances arise, don’t stop and He will see you through. You overcome because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) “I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” John 16:33 (MSG)

“I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:33 (MSG) Jesus said, “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27 NLT). Why seek peace in the things of this world? Jesus forewarned us that in this world, we will continue to experience difficulties. But our comfort and confidence lies in the fact that in Jesus, we are victorious. He has already overcome the world and everything in it. Don’t be moved by earthly events. In Christ, our Savior, we are unshakable. Stand strong on the sure foundation, and keep praising Him. When troubles arise, keep your eyes on Jesus and continue to follow Him, as He shows you the way through each and every situation. Rest assured that no matter what comes, Jesus has already won ...

“I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” — John 16:33 (MSG) Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you (1 Peter 4:12 NLT).  Jesus told us, here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows (John 16:33 NLT). However, as we place our trust in God, we will stand unshaken by the ordeals of this life and assured of the Lord’s deliverance. Take heart! Jesus has overcome the world.

Deeply at Peace

"I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world." John 16:33 (The Message) We are unshakable when we trust in the Lord. Even though we experience difficulties in this world, we can remain deeply at peace because we know the Lord will bring us through. Jesus has already conquered the world. Stick with Him and you shall overcome. Love, Jackie
