It Won't be Long

Image
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! — 1 Corinthians 13:12 (MSG) We don't completely understand a book, until we have read the last chapter. What we see now is partial and incomplete. But one day we will know everything completely. Then we will know fully just as we also have been fully known by our heavenly Father. What we can do now, is continue to praise the Lord Most High. Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen. (Jude 24-25 NLT)

A Very Present Help

Image
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You. In God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me? — Psalm 56:3-4  (NASB) If God is for us, who can ever be against us? (Romans 8:31b NLT) God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], a very present and well-proved help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken and slip into the heart of the seas, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its roaring. Selah. (Psalm 46:1-3 AMP) Have no fear, for nothing will be impossible with God .” (Luke 1:37 NASB)

He is There

Image
I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. — Psalm 139:7-10 (NLT) His Presence is always with us. No need to hide or run away from His Presence. He goes with us for good and not evil. His Presence is our protection, and our peace. His Presence is our source of strength and power. He is a mighty fortress, and a refuge in times of trouble. May we continually delight ourselves in His Presence.

Great is His Love

Image
Teach me your way, LORD, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name. I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead. — Psalm 86:11-13 (NIV) Great is God's Love! He crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. (Psalm 103:4) Because of His lovingkindness and truth, we are preserved. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 NKJV). The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.(Psalm 34:17 NLT). Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to You. (Psalm 143:8)

By Faith

Image
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. — Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) Faith is to have complete trust or confidence in someone or something. We all have faith, Romans 12:3 says, God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. The key is where, what or who we invest our measure of faith in. Some have faith in their bank account or jobs, to answer all their problems. Others put faith in other people, but it is better trust in the Lord, than man. He is the only One who will always be there for you, never will He abandon you. Jesus is the answer to every problem or challenge before you. To get the highest and most beneficial rate of return on our faith we are to deposit it in the Son of God. By faith in Christ we conquer sin, sickness and disease. By faith in Jesus, we can have and enjoy the rich and satisfying life, He came to giv...

Light & Momentary

Image
For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. — 2 Corinthians 4:17 (NIV) Our troubles are light, because they are momentary. They are temporary. Whatever you are going through today is a tiny speck on the face of the eternal time clock. This too shall pass. The Word assures us that no matter what we endure on this side of heaven, it cannot even begin to compare to our glorious future which will last forever. Here on earth we will have many trials and sorrows, but take heart, because Jesus overcame the world. (John 16:33) Hallelujah!

A Single Day

Image
A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. — Psalm 84:10-11 (NLT) One day in the Presence of God, cannot compare to a lifetime without Him. And He has promised to never leave us or forsake us. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name (Psalm 100:4, NKJV).

Fully Committed!

The LORD is in his holy temple; the LORD is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth his eyes examine them.  — Psalm 11:4 (NIV) The LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the inward condition of the heart. His eyes run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him (2 Chronicles 16:9). God is constantly looking for those with hearts that are loyal to Him, so He can show Himself strong, on their behalf. Be fully committed!

How Brief the Time

“Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is. You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand. My entire lifetime is just a moment to you; at best, each of us is but a breath.” Interlude Psalm 39:4-5 (NLT) May we remember of how brief the time is, we have on earth, and never take one moment for granted. Let us make the most of every opportunity to share the love of God with everyone. Let His light shine through you and brighten this dark world. Offer a hand of hope to someone who is lost and in despair.

Rest & Joy

"For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.” Jeremiah 31:25 (NLT) The LORD refreshes the weary soul and satisfies those who are faint. He changes sorrow into dancing. The LORD takes away garments of sadness, and clothes us in happiness (Psalm 30:11, NCV). Let us rest in His Presence and be filled with His joy. Love, Jackie

In Him We Live and Move

From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of our poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' Acts 17:26-28 (NIV ) It is in God, our Creator, that we live and move and exist. He sustains us. Let us acknowledge Him and humble ourselves under His mighty hand. May we commit all our ways unto Him. Amen. Love, Jackie
