Manna for Your Morning

I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to the house of the LORD.” — Psalm 122:1 (NASB) Your strong love, O True God, is precious. All people run for shelter under the shadow of Your wings. In Your house, they eat and are full at Your table. They drink from the river of Your overflowing kindness. You have the fountain of life that quenches our thirst. Your light has opened our eyes and awakened our souls. (Psalm 36:7-9 VOICE) Surely the LORD grants you unending blessings and makes you glad with the joy of His presence. (See Psalm 21:6 NIV) Dwell in the house of the LORD forever and His goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. (See Psalm 23:6)

As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? — Psalm 42:1-2 (NASB) When we thirst for God, our souls will be fully satisfied. I was glad when they said to me, “ Let us go to the house of the LORD. ” (Psalm 122:1 NASB) God—you’re my God! I can’t get enough of you! I’ve worked up such hunger and thirst for God, traveling across dry and weary deserts. So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open, drinking in your strength and glory. In your generous love I am really living at last! My lips brim praises like fountains. I bless you every time I take a breath; My arms wave like banners of praise to you. (Psalm 63:1-4 MSG)

Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well. — Mark 6:56 (NKJV) When we reach out and touch Jesus, our lives are transformed. He is able to bring back to life, that which is dead. When we make contact with Jesus, our mighty Savior, we are made well. As we let the Holy Spirit work in us, we can recieve emotional and physical healing. Don’t just settle for a touch. Seek to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of your life (Psalm 27:4). As you spend time with Him, He will exchange your anxiety with everlasting peace. His perfect love will cast out fear (1 John 4:18). Doubt will flee and faith and trust will grow. Jesus will remove a spirit of heaviness and give you joy. If you are weary, He will give you strength. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinite...

The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. — Psalm 27:4-5 (NLT) Our heavenly Father is not a dead beat dad. He is alive. He is willing and He is able to handle all of your concerns. He is the ultimate source of all we need, want and desire. While others may cast you aside, the LORD adopts you as His child. Psalm 27:10 (MSG) says, “ My father and mother walked out and left me, but God took me in. ” Don’t despair when people mistreat you. Abide in peace, because we have God’s protection, His provision and most important of all, His Presence. Circumstances may not always be perfect, but our heavenly Father is, and He has a good plan for your life, to give you a future and a hope. I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness ...

The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. — Psalm 27:4 (NLT)   That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. — Psalm 27:5 (MSG)  A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10)  May we delight ourselves in His perfect peace and flawless love. My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” (Psalm 27:8 NLT) I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God. (Psalm 27:13-14 MSG)

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” — Psalm 122:1 (NKJV) God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1) Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore! (Psalm 105:4) The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10) When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.” (Psalm 27:8)

Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, — Psalm 92:13-14 (NKJV) We are to be planted in the house of the LORD. And Colossians 2:7 (NLT) says, “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Jesus is the vine, we are the branches. He who abides in Jesus, bears much fruit; for without Him we can do nothing. (John 15:5) As we are planted and rooted in Him, we will stay fresh, we will flourish and be fruitful. The righteous will flourish like the date palm [long-lived, upright and useful]; They will grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic and stable]. (Psalm 92:12 AMP)

“Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the LORD…”’” — 2 Kings 20:5 (NKJV) God spoke these words to Hezekiah, and He still speaks these words to His people today. Be confident that the LORD listens to your prayer. He hears the cry of your heart. Not only does He see your tears, Psalm 56:8 (NLT) says, He has collected all our tears in His bottle. He has recorded each one in His book. Psalm 126:5 (NKJV) lets us know that those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. Hallelujah! Surely God heals! Our heavenly Father wants His children, healed and whole. He says: But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings; (Malachi 4:2). In Matthew 9:35, Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and heali...

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. — Psalm 84:11 (NKJV) Better is one day in His courts than a thousand anywhere else. Blessed are those who dwell in the house of the LORD. We will still be praising Him, as we go from strength to strength, overcoming obstacles along the way. (Psalm 84:4,7, 10). Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you (Isaiah 60:1 NKJV).

Then Hezekiah answered and said, “Now that you have consecrated yourselves to the LORD, come near, and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD.” So the assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings, and as many as were of a willing heart brought burnt offerings. — 2 Chronicles 29:31 (NKJV) God’s people were told to come near after the priests brought out all the debris they found in the temple of the LORD (2 Chronicles 29:16). Let us remove from our hearts (His temple), anything that doesn’t belong. Any unforgiveness, any offense, rebellion or pride. Consider it rubbish. Be of a willing heart to let it go and come near to the living God. No matter where you're at today, the LORD is saying, “Come closer!”

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) are those who dwell in Your house and Your presence; they will be singing Your praises all the day long. — Psalm 84:4 (AMP) God adopted us into His family. As children of God, we belong in His house. We are no longer outsiders. A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked (Psalm 84:10 NLT). If you are on the outside, looking in, get back in the house of the LORD. Abiding in His Presence gives us reason to sing His praises! One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life...(Psalm 2:4).

Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will  live in the house of the LORD forever. — Psalm 23:6 NLT) As long as we live, the LORD’s goodness and unfailing love pursues us. Praise the LORD for all He has done and rejoice in His great goodness. May we always be aware of His unfailing love. It is so expansive, it fills the earth (Psalm 33:5). Trust in God’s unfailing love and it will help you endure the hardships. It will empower you to overcome the challenges. The unfailing love of the Most High will keep you from stumbling (Psalm 21:7). Let His unfailing love draw you to Him and abide in His Presence forever. Be sure to boast of the LORD’s unfailing love and His great goodness!

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD.” — Psalm 122:1 (NLT) So let’s do it—full of belief, confident that we’re presentable inside and out. Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching (Hebrews 10:22-25 MSG). Come and worship the King of kings and the Lord of glory!

The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, — Psalm 92:12-14 (NKJV) Cedars of Lebanon have been growing for 1000 to 2000 years. They are stable and experience continuous growth. No matter what your age, if you are alive on this planet at this time, God has a plan and a purpose for you! May we continually grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18) and bear fruit for His Kingdom. Let’s stay fresh and continue to flourish in the courts of our God!

Yet I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living.  — Psalm 27:13 (NLT) The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD (Psalm 33:5). Give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for all His wonderful works! Trials and tribulations may come, and they will also pass, but God’s goodness lasts forever. He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with His goodness (Psalm 107:9). Surely His goodness and unfailing love will pursue you all the days of your life, and you will live in the house of the LORD forever (Psalm 23:6, NLT). We can be confident in His Goodness!

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” — Psalm 122:1 (NKJV) As little children, our parents often had to tell us to get in the house. As adults we ought to realize it is still very important for us to get in the house, the House of the LORD, that is. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:25, NIV). As the Apostle Paul says in Romans, I long to see you, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. When we gather together with other believers, you will be encouraged in your faith, and someone will be encouraged by yours (Romans 1:12).

I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. May my meditation be sweet to Him; I will be glad in the LORD . — Psalm 104:33-34 (NKJV) As we meditate on the LORD and His wonderful Word, our meditation will be pleasantly sweet to Him. Let all those who seek God rejoice and be glad in Him, because 1) He is with us, 2) He is working for us and 3) we have the VICTORY! Hallelujah and Amen! And a bonus #4, I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” (Psalm 122:1) Let's go!

Those who are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,  —P salm 92:13-14 (NKJV) Are you planted in the house of the LORD? That is the only way to be rooted and established in His love. Only then, are we able to stay fresh and continue to flourish all of our days. Make the Most High your dwelling place. In His house, you will blossom with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

“Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the Lord God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place. — 2 Chronicles 29:5 (NKJV) During King Hezekiah's restoration project, he instructed the Levitical priests to clean out the holy place. First Peter 2:9 says, we are a a royal priesthood. We are the temple of God, and the Spirit of God dwells in us (1 Corinthians 3:16). So, let us take a survey of all that we have accumulated throughout the year and carry out any rubbish. Get rid of all debris: offense, unforgiveness, pride, rebellion, etc. These are things which will cause a root of bitterness to grow and defile our temples. Amen!

Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.  — Psalm 134:1-2 (NKJV) Lift up holy hands in the sanctuary, and gratefully praise the LORD! Let us sing praises to our God, for He is good all the time. Our LORD is above all gods. The name of the LORD endures forever, His fame, throughout all generations. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Leader and the Source of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Worship the Lord, with your entire being. Bless His holy name!
