Manna for Your Morning

Jesus replied, “My light will shine for you just a little longer. Walk in the light while you can, so the darkness will not overtake you. Those who walk in the darkness cannot see where they are going. Put your trust in the light while there is still time; then you will become children of the light.” After saying these things, Jesus went away and was hidden from them. — John 12:35-36 (NLT) Put your trust in King Yeshua, not in man, the government, nor in material riches. In John‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬ ‭(TPT‬), Jesus said, “I am light to the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness.” May we live and walk in the Light. “To all the rich of this world, I command you not to be wrapped in thoughts of pride over your prosperity, or rely on your wealth, for your riches are unreliable and nothing compared to the living God. Trust instead in the one who lavishes upon us all good things, fulfilling our every need.” (1 Timothy 6:17 TPT)

This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; — 1 John 1:5-6 (NASB1995) With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, for they are hopelessly confused. LORD, you light my lamp; my God illuminates my darkness. With you I can attack a barricade, and with my God I can leap over a wall. — Psalm 18:28-29 (CSB) For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. God has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9). Walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8) When we follow Christ and live in the light, we no longer have to stumble around in darkness, doubt and confusion. We have the Word of God, illuminating truth and wisdom. As children of light,  we no longer have to be tossed to and fro by the waves of adversity,  but we are stable and confident to stand strong. As we continually follow Jesus, we have the Light of life within us, to lead and guide us along, through each season of life. The life of the godly is full of light and joy, but the light of the wicked will be snuffed out. — Proverbs 13:9 NLT)

In the past you were full of darkness, but now you are full of light in the Lord. So live like children who belong to the light. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light… — Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV) Praise God! He called us out of darkness into His marvelous light! (1 Peter 2:9b). No matter how dismal circumstances appear, no matter how much darkness exists in the world, His Light still shines brightly. Jesus is the light of the world. Whoever follows Him shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. (John 8:12). As we let the beauty and grace of His light radiate through us, His light invades the darkness. Live in the Light of the Lord!

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light — Ephesians 5:8 (NIV) We are containers of God’s light. Let us be the light and shine brightly on those living overcome by darkness. Just as we opened our hearts to receive from God, let us also keep our hearts open to transmit His light to those He brings our way. When extend to others, the love, kindness, grace and mercy of God, we are allowing His light to invade the darkness of this world.

For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. — Psalm 36:9 (NKJV) The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us (Psalm 118:27a NIV) and in us. Open your eyes to see His light. Let it lead you to living fountains of waters. His light will show you the way to abundant and eternal life. In His light, there is great peace and everlasting joy. Wisdom and truth reside in the light of the LORD. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light! (Ephesians 5:8)

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; — 1 Peter 2:9 (NKJV) We were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Let us walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8). We have been called and chosen by God. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5 NKJV). The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light (Isaiah 9:2). We are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). May we walk before God in the light of the living, and draw those caught up in the darkness of this world, into His marvelous light!

God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God.
“Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself.” — 2 Corinthians 6:16-17 (The Message) If we live in the land of compromise, we are standing on middle ground, and in danger of being lukewarm. In Revelation 3:16, God says, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. As children of God, we are not supposed to succumb to the ways of this world. Instead, we are to let the light of His love and grace shine so brightly through us, that we light up the darkness that is in the world. Live as children of light (Ephesians 5:8)!

“There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways nor abide in its paths.”  — Job 24:13 (NKJV) Don't be one of those who fight against God. Who do you think is going to win that battle? Jesus came as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Him should not abide in darkness (John 12:46). We were once darkness, but now we are light in the Lord. Let us walk as children of light and He will lead us along on the path of life. For this light we have within us produces everything that is good, that has God’s approval, and that is true (Ephesians 5:8-9). Abide in the light!

 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.  — Romans 12:2 (NKJV) Now that we have been informed about who God is and what His Word says, it is time to be transformed into children of light. Let us be doers of the Word, not only hearers. Then we will be able to determine the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. — Romans 13:12 (NKJV) God is light. In Him there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). We are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness (1 Thessalonians 5:5). Let us put on the shining armor of light: joy, compassion, kindness, goodness, humility, gentleness, patience, peace and love!

Come, descendants of Jacob, let’s live in the light of the LORD. Isaiah 2:5 (GW) The LORD is God, and He has made His light shine on us (Psalm 118:27). God adopted us into His family and made us co-heirs with Christ. Our heavenly Father turns our darkness into light. In the light of His Presence there is unconditional love, amazing grace and everlasting mercy. Let us live as children of light!
