Instead, clothe yourself with the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. And don’t let yourself think about ways to indulge your evil desires.   — Romans 13:14 (NLT) Every morning we get up, we choose what clothes to wear on our physical body. However, let us also choose to spiritually clothe ourselves with the presence of the Lord. The Passion Translation says to fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One… (Romans 13:14a) In other words, think His thoughts, speak His Word and do things His way. Instead of putting on the ways of this world or following the desires of our flesh, may we reflect the character and nature of our loving heavenly Father. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” — Matthew 11:28-29 (NASB)  Jesus calls ALL who are weary and heavily burdened to come to Him. God shows no favoritism (Acts 10:34 NLT). He longs for us to come close to Him. The invitation to come is an open invitation to come any time and in any condition, come just as you are, just COME . If you are carrying a heavy burden today, give all your worries and cares to God because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7) When we put His yoke on, we join our hearts and lives to Him. We walk with Christ and and let Him work with us and through us. We let go of the world’s ways and learn His ways. When we are yoked to Jesus, our weary souls will find rest. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. — Psalm 23:2 (NLT)

We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. — Romans 8:28 (VOICE) We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. (Proverbs 19:21 MSG) The sooner we understand that His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9), the sooner we will accept His invitation to live according to His plan. Only then will we live our best life and enjoy the more abundant life Jesus came to give us. Life is not always going to be pretty, but Ecclesiastes 3:11a (NLT) says: Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time . Give Him time.

I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. ” — Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV) When there seems to be no way out of a challenging situation, you can be certain the LORD will make a way. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) God is my strength and power, and He makes my way perfect. (Samuel 22:33 NKJV) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)

Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ ... — Ephesians 5:1-2a (NLT) Instead of copying the ways of this world, may we imitate the ways of our heavenly Father. The Message Bible says, “Watch what God does, and then you do it, like children who learn proper behavior from their parents. Mostly what God does is love you. Keep company with him and learn a life of love. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that.” (Ephesians 5:1-2) The Amplified Bible tells us to walk continually in love [that is, value one another—practice empathy and compassion, unselfishly seeking the best for others]… (Ephesians 5:2). Amen!

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. — Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) If you seek the LORD, He will be found by you. When you call upon Him, He will answer. A diligent search is not a one time act, it happens moment by moment on a daily basis. Once we have found Him, there is a continual, relentless seeking to know His character, His ways and His will. A diligent seeker has a daily desire to stay in constant communion with Him (through His Word, prayer and praise). A diligent seeker always hungers for more of God and His Kingdom. Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. (Isaiah 55:6) As it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9 NKJV)

“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” — Matthew 11:28-30 (TPT) In The Passion Translation, Jesus says, He is our oasis. An oasis is a pleasant and peaceful place found in the midst of hard and difficult terrain. In this chaotic world, Jesus is our calm. In a dry and weary land, He is a spring of living water. When we join our lives with His, we learn His gentle and humble ways. As we learn to draw our strength and all that we need from Him, we will rest and be refreshed. He who comes to Jesus shall never hunger, and he who believes in Him shall never thirst. (John 6:35)

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. — Matthew 6:9-10 (NKJV) When we submit and surrender to the Lord’s will, we can be confident that He will show us the way over every mountain and the way out of any storm. He will lead us and guide us along the best pathway, to the abundant life. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His ways higher than our ways, and His thoughts than our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:9) “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”   (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)

For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. — 2 Chronicles 16:9a (NASB) The LORD shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. Be totally devoted to God, His Word and His ways. Be fully committed to following Him, wherever He leads, knowing that He shows us the best pathway for our lives. Rely on the LORD, first and foremost. Before you text a friend or delve into social media, seek the LORD. When we look to Him for help, He gives us the victory. You too, be patient; strengthen your hearts [keep them energized and firmly committed to God], because the coming of the Lord is near. (James 5:8 AMP)

An arrogant and greedy man stirs up strife, but he who trusts in the LORD will be blessed and prosper. — P roverbs 28:25 (AMP) Man may fail us, but we will never be disappointed when we trust in and rely on the LORD. “Trust in the LORD forever, for in God the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock. (Isaiah 26:4 NASB) When we keep our confidence in His Word and follow His ways, we flourish and experience success in all areas of our lives. Trust in the LORD and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. (Psalm 37:3 NLT)

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NLT) Jesus calls all people to come to Him, let us come thirsty. Rainwater that falls on hard ground rolls on without seeping in, but when the ground is thirsty, it absorbs the water and is changed. When we come to Jesus but resist submitting to His ways, our hearts are hard and we are not open to receive what He has for us. However, when we come to Jesus thirsty, wanting more of Him, His living water is able to penetrate our hearts and we are changed. He refreshes, revives and satisfies our souls. O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you… (Psalm 63:1, NLT)

There’s no telling who will hate you because of me. Even so, every detail of your body and soul—even the hairs of your head!—is in my care; nothing of you will be lost. Staying with it—that’s what is required. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry; you’ll be saved. — Luke 21:17-19 (MSG) Stand firm on your faith in Jesus, the living Word. Let us stay submitted to His will and His ways, knowing that He is able to take care of everything that concerns us. Our endurance will make the difference between being poor and pitiful or richly satisfied with all things that pertain to life and godliness. Holding onto our faith will take us from being weak and weary to being strong and being continually refreshed and made new. Instead of being victims of circumstances, we will be victorious overcomers. Instead of losing, we will win, in the eternal realm! Instead of being sorry, we will be saved! May we be courageous and remain confident in Christ and all He has done for us.
