Son of the Most High God

Image
When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” — Mark 5:6-8 (NKJV) Even the demons recognize Jesus the Christ as the Son of the Most High God. In Matthew 24:54 (NLT), it was a Roman officer other soldiers at the crucifixion that said, “This man truly was the Son of God!” However, a majority of the scribes and Pharisees missed seeing the truth. Let us who believe, pray that all will come to believe and know that Yeshua is the Christ, the Son of the living God. (See John 6:69) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17 NKJV) This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners... (See 1 Timothy 1:15 NKJV) He came that we may have l...

Be Renewed

Image
Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. — Ephesians 4:21-24 (NLT) Ephesians 4:23 (AMP) says: “be continually renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh, untarnished mental and spiritual attitude].” The process of being renewed is continual. May we daily present our bodies to God as a living and holy sacrifice. Instead of copying the behavior and customs of this world, let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. (See Romans 12:1-2) Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the ...

Focus Your Eyes

Image
Therefore, since we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also get rid of every weight and entangling sin. Let us run with endurance the race set before us, focusing on Yeshua, the initiator and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame; and He has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God. — Hebrews 12:1-2 (TLV) Too often we get focused on the problem, instead of the answer to all of our problems, our Savior. Hebrews 12:2 (AMP) tells us to look away from all that will distract us and focus our eyes on Jesus. With the myriad of distractions around us, we have to be intentional about keeping our eyes on Yeshua, the author and finisher of our faith. Instead of focusing on social media or what others say about you, focus on what God, your Creator, says about you. He knows you better than anyone. Fix your eyes on Yeshua, and run the race set before you with passion and persistence. The Lord will empower yo...

It Is Good

Image
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds. — Psalm 73:28 (NIV) It is good to draw near to God. Put your trust in the Lord GOD, and tell everyone about the wonderful things He has done. He has clothed us with garments of salvation and covered us with a robe of righteousness. May we rejoice greatly in the LORD. (See Isaiah 61:10) He will keep us in perfect peace, as we trust in Him. In His Presence is fullness of joy. In His right hand there are pleasures forevermore. (See Psalm 16:11) Adonai gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. (See Isaiah 40:29) He leads and guides us through each day, and will make known to us the path of life. …repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:29 NASB1995) Bless the LORD, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my sou...

The Light of Life

Image
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” — John 8:12 (NASB1995) God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. (See 1 John 1:5) …you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), (Ephesians 5:8-9 NASB1995). You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. (Matthew 5:14 NLT) Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NASB1995) As followers of Christ, let us do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, (See Philippians 2:14-15 NASB1995)....

He Leads with Love

Image
The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness all who keep his covenant and obey his demands. — Psalm 25:10 (NLT) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. (Psalm 25:8-9 NLT) If you truly want to dwell forever in God’s presence, forsake evil and do what is right in his eyes. (Psalm 37:27 TPT) Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. — Psalm 25:4-5 (NLT)
