Do You Believe?

Image
“Can the dead live again? If so, this would give me hope through all my years of struggle, and I would eagerly await the release of death.” — Job 14:14 (NLT) GOD has decided the length of our lives. He knows how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer. (See Job 14:5 NLT) However, we can have hope because we have King Yeshua, the resurrection and the life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (See 2 Corinthians 5:6-8) In John 11:25-26 (NKJV) Jesus said: “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died. (...

Choose The Right Path

Image
There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. — Proverbs 14:12 (NLT) Who are those who fear the LORD? He will show them the path they should choose. (Psalms 25:12 NLT) Choose the right path and stick to it. Proverbs 15:21 (NLT) says, a sensible person stays on the right path. The right path leads to life, light, and peace. The path of life leads upward for the wise; they leave the grave behind. (Proverbs 15:24) Those who follow the right path fear the LORD; those who take the wrong path despise him. (Proverbs 14:2) The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalms 32:8 NLT) “Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.” (Luke 1:78-79 NLT) Jesus said... “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

More Than Conquerors

Image
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. — Romans 8:35, 37 (NLT) Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. (Psalms 34:19 NKJV) We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT) We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. …thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV)

The Goodness of GOD

Image
“ Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. ” — Psalms 116:8 (NLT) I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place. (Psalms 31:7-8 NLT) God is my shield, saving those whose hearts are true and right. (Psalms 7:17 NLT) So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalms 31:24 NLT) How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. (Psalms 31:19 NLT) I will give thanks to Yahweh according to His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of Yahweh Most High. (Psalms 7:17 LSB) Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name; Make known His acts among the peoples. (Psalms 105:1 LSB)

Life & Peace

Image
A mind focused on the flesh is doomed to death, but a mind focused on the Spirit will find full life and complete peace. — Romans 8:6 (VOICE) May we be led by the Holy Spirit in our thoughts and actions. …for if you are living according to the [impulses of the] flesh, you are going to die. But if [you are living] by the [power of the Holy] Spirit you are habitually putting to death the sinful deeds of the body, you will [really] live forever. (Romans 8:13 AMP) “For no matter how hard they try, God finds no pleasure with those who are controlled by the flesh. But when the Spirit of Christ empowers your life, you are not dominated by the flesh but by the Spirit. And if you are not joined to the Spirit of the Anointed One, you are not of him.” (Romans 8:8-9 TPT) And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. (Romans 8:2 NLT)

Valley of Decision

Image
Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of Yahweh is near in the valley of decision. — Joel 3:14 (LSB) Each person must decide for themselves. Yahweh has set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days… (See Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NASB1995) For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him, for “Whoever calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.” (Romans 10:12-13 LSB) May we not be of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. (See Hebrews 10:39) Press on toward the upward call of God in Messiah Yeshua.  Yahweh is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works. Yahweh is near to all who call upon Him, to all who ca...

Life & Peace

Image
So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. — Romans 8:6 (NLT) What is controlling your mind? The world, your flesh, or the Spirit of God? Those who are motivated by the flesh only pursue what benefits themselves. (See Romans 8:6 TPT) The Amplified Bible says the mind of the flesh pursues sin. And that leads to death. Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (1 John 2:15-17 NLT) For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT) Set your mind on the things of the Spiri...

Don't Stray

Image
All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. — Isaiah 53:6 (NASB1995) May we never stray away from Yahweh. There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. (Proverbs 14:12 NLT) He will show us the path of life. (See Psalm 16:11a AMP) In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death. (Proverbs 12:28 NASB1995) …the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. (Proverbs 4:18 NASB1995) When we are teachable, He will make His ways known to us, and guide us in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. (See Psalm 23:3 & 25:4 NASB1995) Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:6 NLT) Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. (Proverbs 4:27 NLT)  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him r...

Greater Love

Image
Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. — John 15:13-14 (NASB1995) Yeshua is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him… (see Isaiah 53:5). Proverbs 17:17 (NASB1995) says: A friend loves at all times. Our Savior and Redeemer is that friend and our example.  We are His friends, IF we do what He commands us to do. We have to abide in Him and His word must abide in us. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4:4 NKJV) Yahweh has set before us life and good, death and evil. We must choose for ourselves this day whom we will serve. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.( See Joshua 24:15 and Deuteronomy 30:15) Amen...

Watch Your Words

Image
And the tongue is a fire, the very world of unrighteousness; the tongue is set among our body’s parts as that which defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell. — James 3:6 (NASB) James 3:8 (NASB) says, the tongue is full of deadly poison. However, both death and life are in the power of the tongue (See Proverbs 18:21 NASB), so we need to choose our words carefully. Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! (James 3:9-10 NLT) Let us speak life over our lives, and the lives of others. Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. (Proverbs 16:24 NLT) Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time! (Proverbs 15:23 NLT)

Just Come!

Image
I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” — Psalm 32:8-9 (TPT) Don’t fall prey to the schemes and deceit of the enemy. Before every person lies a road that seems to be right, but the end of that road is death and destruction. (Proverbs 14:12 VOICE) Now set your heart and your soul to seek the LORD your God; (1 Chronicles 22:19a NASB) Now prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to follow the Eternal One your God. (1 Chronicles 22:19a VOICE) The path God lays before us, leads to eternal life and a more abundant life.

Set Your Hope

Image
Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death [and were convinced that we would die, but this happened] so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead. He rescued us from so great a threat of death, and will continue to rescue us. On Him we have set our hope. And He will again rescue us [from danger and draw us near], — 2 Corinthians 1:9-10 (AMP) In the midst of severe trials, let us trust solely in our mighty God. “…blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence.” (Jeremiah 17:7 NLT) So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalm 31:24 NLT) He delivers the righteous out of all their troubles. (Psalm 34:17 NASB)

EMBRACED!

Image
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. — Romans 8:35-36 (NLT) None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. (Romans 8:38-39 MSG) …nothing in the universe has the power to diminish his love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. (Romans 8:35 TPT)

Live for His Purpose

Image
We humans keep brainstorming options and plans, but God’s purpose prevails. — Proverbs 19:21 (MSG) Before every person lies a road that seems to be right, but the end of that road is death and destruction. (Proverbs 14:12 VOICE) When we are in the driver’s seat, we are sure to end up on a dead-end road or going over a cliff. God allows us the free will to do things our way but realize that there are always consequences to that. In addition, when we choose to do things our way, it’s not God’s best for us. Some people think the word submission is a bad thing, but we are all submitting to something. Are you submitting to your flesh, to this world, or to God, our Maker? It is a good thing when we are submitting to the right authority. Submit your life to our heavenly Father, and to the authority of His Word. May we follow Him all the days of our lives. He knows the best way for us to go so that we arrive at the glorious destination of His master design. The steps of a [good and ri...

Pitch your Tent in the Land of Hope

Image
David said it all: I saw God before me for all time. Nothing can shake me; he’s right by my side. I’m glad from the inside out, ecstatic; I’ve pitched my tent in the land of hope. I know you’ll never dump me in Hades; I’ll never even smell the stench of death. You’ve got my feet on the life-path, with your face shining sun-joy all around. — Acts 2:25-28 (MSG)  Pitch your tent in the land of hope and camp out there. Don’t let the enemy lure you into the territory of discouragement and defeat. God is right by your side. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalm 31:24 NLT) With God on your side, nothing will be able to stand against you.   … You direct me on a path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment. — Acts 2:28 (VOICE)

Be Led by the Spirit

Image
We all have wandered off, like shepherdless sheep, scattered by our aimless striving and endless pursuits; The Eternal One laid on him, this silent sufferer, the sins of us all. — Isaiah 53:6 (VOICE) Proverbs 14:12 (VOICE) says, Before every person lies a road that seems to be right, but the end of that road is death and destruction. Be led by the Holy Spirit and He will show you the path that leads to life and life more abundantly. While our endless pursuits will leave us empty and exhausted abiding in Him, we will experience fullness of life, peace and joy. My counsel is this: Live freely, animated and motivated by God’s Spirit. Then you won’t feed the compulsions of selfishness. — Galatians 5:16 (MSG)

Stay on the Path

Image
So follow the steps of the good, and stay on the paths of the righteous. — Proverbs 2:20 (NLT) There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10) You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11) In John 21:19, Jesus said to Peter, “Follow Me.” Let us do likewise. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

Live with Him

Image
We know that our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin. For when we died with Christ we were set free from the power of sin. And since we died with Christ, we know we will also live with him. We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and he will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. — Romans 6:6-9 (NLT)  We were set free from the power of sin, to live with Christ. Let us live with Jesus and not just visit Him on Sunday morning. Abide in Him 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; continually talk to Him. Dine with Him daily. When we open the door, of our heart, He will come in to us and dine with us. (Revelation 3:20) We are no longer at sin’s every beck and call! (Romans 6:6 MSG) Let us live for the glory of God! When he died, he died once to break the power of sin. But now that he lives, he lives for the glory of God. So you also should consider yourselves to b...

Worship & Bow Down

Image
Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. — Philippians 2:5-8 (NASB) For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (Philippians 2:9-10 NASB) Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand. (Psalm 95:6-7) Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you. (James 4:8,10)

Draw from the Fountain of Life

Image
Fear of the LORD is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death. — Proverbs 14:27 (NLT) Isaiah 12:3 (NASB) says we will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. Draw from the fountain of life and drink deeply, for your cup overflows. May we give honor and respect to our great God. In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence. (Proverbs 14:26a NASB) And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19)  Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:16 (NASB)
