In The Shadow of His Wings

Image
Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. — Psalms 57:1 (AMP) “O God, how extravagant is your cherishing love! All mankind can find a hiding place under the shadow of your wings.” (Psalms 36:7 TPT) Because you are my helper, I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings. I cling to you; your strong right hand holds me securely. (Psalms 63:7-8 NLT) Guard me as you would guard your own eyes. Hide me in the shadow of your wings. (Psalms 17:8 NLT) Let me live forever in your sanctuary, safe beneath the shelter of your wings! Interlude (Psalms 61:4 NLT)

Find Shelter & Safety

Image
Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. — Psalm 57:1 (AMP) Find safety and shelter in Almighty God, He is Elohim, the all-powerful One. When the righteous cry [for help], the LORD hears and rescues them from all their distress and troubles. (Psalm 34:17 AMP) Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all. (Psalm 34:19 AMP) I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. (Psalm 57:2 NLT)

Feast on His Faithfulness

Image
Keep trusting in the Lord and do what is right in his eyes. Fix your heart on the promises of God and you will be secure, feasting on his faithfulness. — Psalm 37:3 (TPT) The LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalm 100:5) Seek and deeply long for the Lord and His strength [His power, His might]; Seek and deeply long for His face and His presence continually. (Psalm 105:4 AMP)

KING FOREVER

Image
The LORD sat as King at the flood; Yes, the LORD sits as King forever. The LORD will give [unyielding and impenetrable] strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace. — Psalm 29:10-11 (AMP) Because our mighty God sits on the throne, we have no need to fear. It is God who arms us with strength and keeps our way secure. (2 Samuel 22:33) From his throne he observes all who live on the earth. (Psalm 33:14 NLT) And He hears the cry of every heart, and gives us His peace and strength. I cried out to you in my distress, the delivering God, and from your temple-throne you heard my troubled cry. My sobs came right into your heart and you turned your face to rescue me.  — Psalm 18:6 (TPT)

Sure & Fearless

Image
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. — Psalm 91:1 (AMP) God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. (Psalm 46:1-3 VOICE) “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6 (NKJV)

Keep Walking

Image
Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. — Psalm 23:4 (NLT) No matter what kind of situation you may be walking through, remember the LORD is your Shepherd. You can feel secure, because He is with you. Keep walking, taking each step by faith. His rod will protect you and His staff will guide you along on the right path. He will refresh your soul and give you new strength. Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell forever [throughout all my days] in the house and in the presence of the LORD. — Psalm 23:6 (AMP)

Stay with God

Image
The one thing I ask of the LORD— the thing I seek most— is to live in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, delighting in the LORD’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. — Psalm 27:4 (NLT)   That’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. — Psalm 27:5 (MSG)  A single day in His courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. (Psalm 84:10)  May we delight ourselves in His perfect peace and flawless love. My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “LORD, I am coming.” (Psalm 27:8 NLT) I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God. (Psalm 27:13-14 MSG)

Remain Secure

Image
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand]. — Psalm 91:1 (AMP) We remain secure when we dwell in the shelter of the Most High. The word dwell indicates a permanent place of residence. If we want to remain secure, we cannot use the LORD as a temporary place to stay, where we check-in and check-out on Sunday morning. We are to abide with Him, seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious and merciful to me, for my soul finds shelter and safety in You, and in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge and be confidently secure until destruction passes by. (Psalm 57:1AMP) I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah  —Psalm 61:4 (NKJV)

It is God

Image
It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights. — 2 Samuel 22:33-34 (NIV) It is God who woke you up today. It is God who gave you ears to hear and eyes to see (Proverbs 20:12). As surely as the sun rises, He pours out fresh, new mercies on you each morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). It is God who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion (Psalm 103:4-5). It is God who goes before you to show you the way, and acts as your rear guard to protect you from the enemy. It is the Lord who stands by your side, when all others abandon you. It is God who enables you to stand secure and confident on your high places. Let us worship Almighty God, who is worthy of all praise, honor and glory!

Seek His Will

Image
If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open. — James 1:5-8 (MSG) Don’t be tossed to and fro with each wave. The enemy wants you to drift. Let your hope and trust in God be an anchor that keeps you close to Him. He will help you stay firm and secure in Him. Instead of wavering away from His will, seek His wisdom and guidance always.

This Hope

Image
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, — Hebrews 6:19 (NIV) We have this living hope in Almighty God and all that He has made available to us through Christ (not only abundant life here on earth but eternal life in His Presence). This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls (Hebrews 6:19 NLT). It gives us weight to remain stable in God and not be tossed to and fro by the undercurrents of life. When adverse winds arise, this anchor will keep us from drifting away. This hope goes behind the veil, and enters God’s inner sanctuary, right to the very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post as high priest for us. (Hebrews 6:20 MSG)

Hope Overflowing

Image
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. — Romans 15:13 (NIV) As we put all our trust in God and stand on His Word, our hearts will overflow with hope. Our wonder-working God is the source of hope. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure (Hebrews 6:19a NIV). This living hope will hold us steady in the storms of life, and enable us to walk in perfect peace and abundant joy. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love (Romans 5:5 NLT).

The Sure Foundation

Image
He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure. — Isaiah 33:6 (NIV) No matter how unstable and volatile this world may be, our mighty God is the sure foundation. The Message Bible says: God keeps your days stable and secure (Isaiah 33:6). He has a rich store, an abundant treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge for those who fear and worship Him. The Amplified Bible says: the reverent fear and worship of the Lord is our treasure and His. Instead of being tossed to and fro by the circumstances of this life, stand strong on the sure foundation.

In the Secret Place

Image
You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah — Psalm 32:7 (NKJV) In the time of trouble, the LORD shall hide you in His pavilion; in the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide you; He shall set you high upon a rock (Psalm 27:5 NKJV). The Message Bible says, that’s the only quiet, secure place in a noisy world, the perfect getaway, far from the buzz of traffic. In the secret place of His presence, He shall hide you from the plots of man (Psalm 31:20) and surround you with songs of victory. Hallelujah!

Armed with Strength

Image
God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. — Psalm 18:32-33 (NLT) God arms us with strength to go through the low valleys of life and stand strong and secure on the mountaintop. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak (Isaiah 40:29 NIV). In His strength we can crush an army; with our God we can scale any wall (Psalm 18:28-29 NLT). May we go from strength to strength [increasing in victorious power] (Psalm 84:7 AMP). Amen.

Eyes on the LORD

Image
I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, — Psalm 16:8-9 (NIV) When we keep our eyes on the LORD, our hearts are made glad, regardless of current circumstances. He is our strength in stormy seasons and enables us to overcome difficulties. We will not be moved by the harsh winds of adversity. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken (Psalm 62:6 NIV). Set the LORD always before you (Psalm 16:8 NKJV).

Surrounded & Secure!

Image
Those who trust in the LORD are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever . — Psalm 125:1-2 (NLT) Whatever you go through today, remember, the LORD has you surrounded NOW and forever! He has you covered on every side. Psalm 5:12 (NLT) says, He blesses the godly and surrounds us  with His shield of love. He is our hiding place; He protects us from trouble and surrounds us with songs of victory (Psalm 32:7 NLT). In His care, we are surrounded and secure. Hallelujah & Amen!

You Shall Not be Moved

I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. — Psalm 16:8-9 (NKJV) Instead of focusing on the circumstances and challenges, always keep your eyes on the LORD, from Whom your help comes. With Him by your side, you shall not be moved. You have already overcome, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). That is why your heart can be glad and your soul can rejoice. Your body can also confidently rest, being secure in the hope we have in the LORD.

Not Too Short!

Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear.  — Isaiah 59:1 (NIV) Don't suffer shipwreck in regard to your faith. Keep your trust in the LORD, our God. He is mighty to save! His arm is longer and reaches deeper than any situation you may be facing, including  the effects of sequestration. You are safe and secure in the arms of our heavenly Father. Let Him quiet your troubled soul with His love.

The Foundation of Your Future

The LORD is honored because he lives on high. He will fill Zion with justice and righteousness. He will be the foundation of your future. The riches of salvation are wisdom and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is your treasure. — Isaiah 33:5-6 (GW) The LORD is exalted above all. He is a strong, sure foundation. In order to out last the storms of today and stand strong in the future, we must build our lives on Him. God keeps all of our days stable and secure. He provides an abundant supply of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. A treasure is something that is highly valued and placed in great esteem. The reverent fear and worship of the Lord is our treasure and His (Isaiah 33:6, AMP). Amen!
