Manna for Your Morning

Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive fails and the fields produce no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, yet I will [choose to] rejoice in the LORD;
I will [choose to] shout in exultation in the [victorious] God of my salvation! — Habakkuk 3:17-18 (AMP) When you are down to nothing, know that Yahweh is up to something. When it seems that nothing is working, remember our great and mighty God has already worked everything out concerning you. His lovingkindness never fails. In the face of lack, keep in mind that we serve a God of abundance and overflow (more than enough). Habakkuk 2:4 (AMP) reminds us that the righteous will live by his faith [in the true God]. So no matter how circumstances may appear, believers can choose to rejoice in Yahweh and know that He is faithful to provide for His children. Our joy is not in the provision, but in the Provider.

By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. — Hebrews 11:3 (NKJV) Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down. Words form perceptions and establish beliefs. They can create hope and expectation. With your words you can crush someone’s spirit or you can encourage and support. Proverbs 12:18 says, the tongue of the wise promotes health. Words can be used to deceive or they can reveal truth. Proverbs 10:31 says: The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut out. What kind of environment are you creating with the words that come out of your mouth? Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV) May we speak words of life and truth.

“For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay. But My righteous one shall live by faith; And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. — Hebrews 10:37-39 (NASB1995) Hebrews 11:6 says: without faith it is impossible to please God. Do not doubt or waver in unbelief concerning the promise of God, but grow strong in faith, and give glory to God. (like Abraham in Romans 4:20) Let us walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— (See 2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP)  If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]. “Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. In the midst of dark valleys, the faithful can see the light of hope shining through.  When faced with adverse situations, there may be some things or some people you need to turn your back on. Look to the LORD, and stand on His Word. Instead of letting fear and anxiety bombard your mind and heart, continue to believe. Trust God and know that He is with you. What keeps us from being in despair? Believing that we will see the goodness of Almighty God in the land of the living. Remember, without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. “Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” — Hebrews 10:38 (NKJV) A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. (Proverbs 16:9 AMP) YAHWEH knows the plans He has for each one of us. We should not compare our walk with someone else’s. Each person is unique and our paths are not exactly the same. So let us continually look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, and follow Him. (See Hebrews 12:2)  Press on, in spite of the challenges, and do not draw back. The righteous keep moving forward, and those with clean hands become stronger and stronger. (Job 17:9 NLT)

(Mark 16:11) Don’t be a doubting disciple. In John 20:29, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” In John 14:1, Jesus said, “ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ” May we confidently believe that Jesus is alive, willing and more than able to handle whatever concerns us. He is our mighty Savior and everlasting King. He rules and reigns in power and glory. He has overcome the world. Let us live in faith (a confident belief), that in Jesus, we have the victory.

And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” — Mark 9:7 (NKJV) Let us hear Jesus. In John 14:1, Jesus said “ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ” Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6) When we believe in Him, we can abide in everlasting peace. In John 14:27 Jesus said, “ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ” In John 16:33, He goes on to say, “ In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world .” When He hung on the cross, in John 19:30, Jesus said, “ It is finished! ” May we hear Jesus, and continually walk with Him, taking each step by faith, no matter where He may lead us, knowing that Jesus has already accomplished victory for us.

Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”  — Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NKJV) Even though the vision God has given you seems slow in coming, wait patiently for it, because it will surely take place at the appointed time. To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven: (Ecclesiastes 3:1). “… the just shall live by his faith. ” (Habakkuk 4 NKJV) Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. — Psalm 25:8 (NLT) Psalm 145:9  (NKJV) says, The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. God shows no favoritism. (Acts 10:24 NLT) He is good to ALL. Circumstances may not always appear good, but remember that God is good and the plans He has for you are good. We may not be able to make sense of some things in our limited, human understanding. However, let us stay the course with Christ. He has a path for each person. Commit to closely following Him and take each step by faith. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. (1 Peter 2:21 NLT)

By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. — Hebrews 11:11 (NKJV) Let us consider God faithful and receive strength to conceive and give birth to the dreams and desires He has placed inside our hearts. You may go through a barren season, like Sarah, but keep believing and trusting God. The Amplified Bible says Sarah considered Him who had given her the promise to be reliable and true [to His word] (Hebrews 11:11).  Know that God is true to His Word. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. (Psalm 31:24 NKJV) I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose… (Philippians 4:13a AMP).

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. — 2 Peter 1:3-4a (NLT) God has given us great and precious promises, and He is faithful to fulfill each one. Let us walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— (2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP)  For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (2 Corinthians 1:20 NKJV) No matter how the situation may appear today, be confident that God will work it all together for good.

Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us?” (2 Corinthians 5:7-8a) Let us live by faith, with our speech and our steps consistent with what we say we believe. Walk confidently believing in our God and in His goodness. He will work everything together for good, in your life. Do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

For we live by faith, not by sight. — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV) Let's live our lives by believing God and His Word. As the Message Bible says, It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? (2 Corinthians 5:7). We are to hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. (Ephesians 6:16 NLT). Circumstances may say “not enough,” but the Word of God says He will supply all of our needs (Philippians 4:19). He is the God of “more than enough!” Let us lay aside every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up, and run with endurance the race God has set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

By faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn’t see, and acted on what he was told. The result? His family was saved. His act of faith drew a sharp line between the evil of the unbelieving world and the rightness of the believing world. As a result, Noah became intimate with God. — Hebrews 11:7 (MSG) The Bible doesn’t say that Noah questioned God. He didn't inquire about the what, why, and when. It doesn’t say that Noah had to think about a convenient time to undertake the massive project God gave to him. He just acted in faith and obedience and as a result many lives were saved. God’s Word is the instruction manual for our lives. When we do as He directs us, it will mean salvation not only for us but for others. Acting in faith and obedience sets us free from the bondage of the enemy and gives us good success in life.
