Manna for Your Morning

The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? — Luke 24:5 (NLT) When the women went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus, in the tomb, they were greatly perplexed (Luke 24:3-4). Don’t be puzzled, and have no doubt, Jesus is no longer on the cross and His tomb has been empty. Jesus is Alive! He is our Advocate, who pleads our case before the Father. He is the One who is truly righteous. He conquered sin, death, and the grave. For over 2,000 years He has been actively engaged in the lives of His people, to bring about the Father’s will on the earth. Jesus overcame His enemies, for He is LORD of lords and KING of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.” (Revelation 17:14). Do you stand with Him today?

“Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” — Luke 24:5-7 (NKJV) Jesus bore our griefs and suffering. He carried our sorrows; He was afflicted. He was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities; (Isaiah 53:4-5). He endured the cross and His body was laid in a tomb. But on the third day it was said of Him, “He is risen!” We have been born again into a LIVING hope. The third day brought about VICTORY over sin and death, freedom and joy. We may have to go through some stuff, but remember the 3rd day! In Christ Jesus, our Savior, we already have the victory. Amen!

Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Luke 24:5-7 (NIV) Why look for the living among the dead? Jesus Christ is risen! His tomb is empty. Since Christ was raised from the dead, death no longer has mastery over Him. He died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God (Romans 5:9-10). Christ suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit (1 Peter 3:18). Praise God, Jesus is Alive! Have a blessed Resurrection Day!
