The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. Do you think I care about the approval of men or about the approval of God? Do you think I am on a mission to please people? If I am still spinning my wheels trying to please men, then there is no way I can be a servant of the Anointed One, the Liberating King. — Galatians 1:10 (VOICE) Let us not try to win the approval of people but seek to please our heavenly Father. Be more concerned about your private relationship with God than your public life before people. Live for an audience of One, the Holy One of Israel. The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in and puts his confidence in the LORD will be exalted and safe. (Proverbs 29:25 AMP)  The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? (Psalms 118:6 NKJV) But I will point out to you whom you should fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority and power to hurl [you] into hell; yes, I say to you, [stand in great awe of God and] fear Him! — Luke 12:5 (AMP)

Praise Yahweh forever, the God of Israel! He is the one and only God of wonders, surpassing every expectation. The blazing glory of his name will be praised forever! May all the earth overflow with his glory! Faithful is our King! Amen! — Psalms 72:18-19 (TPT) Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. He pardons all our iniquities, heals all our diseases, redeems our lives from the pit, and crowns us with lovingkindness and compassion. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day. For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NLT) Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17) Fix your gaze upon Him.

The LORD is good to everyone; his compassion rests on all he has made. — Psalm 145:9 (CSB) Everything God does is right— the trademark on all his works is love. (Psalm 145:17 MSG) The LORD is faithful to fulfill every promise He has made. The LORD helps all who fall; he raises up all who are oppressed. In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will prepare [a prayer and a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart]. — Psalm 5:2-3 (AMP) Don’t rush into action prematurely, watch and wait for the Holy Spirit to impart wisdom and guidance from the throne room of God. Be still before the LORD; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; (Psalm 37:7a AMP) Our heavenly Father will guide you along the right paths. Blessed be the Lord— day after day he carries us along. He’s our Savior, our God, oh yes! He’s God-for-us, he’s God-who-saves-us Lord God knows all death’s ins and outs. (Psalm 68:19-20 MSG)

My heart is overflowing with a good theme; I recite my composition concerning the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. — Psalm 45:1 (NKJV) What is your heart overflowing with today? Is your heart troubled, full of fear and anxiety? Or does it overflow with a good theme? May our hearts be full of God’s unconditional love, His mercy and grace, His kindness and compassion.  Let us guard our hearts and only let in what is good. Jesus says, in John 14:1 (NLT), “Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” When we trust in the Lord, our hearts are strengthened and we can have peace. When our hearts overflow with the truth, God’s Word, our hope is alive and we thrive. Let your heart overflow with a good theme. Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. (Proverbs 4:23 NASB)

We’re walking on air!  All we are and have we owe to God,  Holy God of Israel, our King! — Psalm 89:15-18 (MSG) Blessed be the LORD, Who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah (Psalm 68:19 (NKJV). Let us continually praise His name. In the words of Pastor Matthew Pollock, “Let your praise invade your problems!”  Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, LORD. He holds you up with His victorious right hand (Isaiah 41:10 NLT). He faithfully comes to our rescue, each and every time. Let us give thanks and continually sing His praises!

For God is the King of all the earth; Sing praises with understanding. God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne. — Psalm 47:7-8 (NKJV) When we truly understand that our God reigns, we can genuinely sing His praises. Understand, that God is higher than any trial that comes our way. God’s Word carries more weight, that your doctor’s report or what your checkbook is saying. Let us comprehend that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from the love God has for us. With our heavenly Father on our side, who can stand against us?

All we are and have we owe to God, Holy God of Israel, our King! — Psalm 89:15-18 (MSG) Passwords give access. We enter His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4). Some passwords of praise: Everything that has breath! Make a joyful noise! Acknowledge Him! Worship Him! Just do it! Seven times a day and all day long praise the LORD because of His righteous decrees (Psalm 119:164 AMP). He is worthy to be praised!

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the LORD! Praise God in highest heaven!” — Matthew 21:9 (NLT) Jesus is to be the center of our lives. It’s all about Him. May everyone and everything else in our lives revolve around Him. As the Apostle Paul said in Phillipians 1:21, to live is Christ! He is our life (Colossians 3:4). Christ is all and in all (Colossians 3:11). Let us draw our strength, wisdom and unconditional love from the center of our being where Jesus sits on the throne of our hearts as Lord and King. And give thanks to God, who always leads us in victory in Christ!

I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. — Romans 12:1 (AMP) Let us dedicate our bodies to God, as living sacrifices. May we unplug our affections to the world and separate ourselves unto God that we might be well-pleasing to Him. This is a reasonable manner to serve the kingdom of God and give glory to our King, Christ Jesus! Amen.

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?” — Matthew 2:1-2a (NKJV) The wise men were looking for Jesus. Who or what are you searching for today? Is your heart longing for more of Jesus? In Jeremiah 29:13, the LORD says, “you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” If you are seeking Jesus, take comfort in knowing that Jesus is near. In Revelation 3:20, He says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Come, dine with the King!

And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come.  — Matthew 22:1-3 (NKJV) Our natural instinct is to pick up the phone when it rings. However, our heavenly Father has sent out a call to each and every person. Yet so many just let the phone ring. They refuse to answer the call God has placed on their lives. They hear the phone ringing, but they get distracted with other things, things that have no eternal value. Matthew 22:5 says, those who heard the invitation, made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. In the words of Pastor Matthew Pollock, this is indeed a major biblical tragedy. Today, people neglect the call of God to do their own thing. Let there be no more excuses, nor delays - answer the call!

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.  — Psalm 145:1-3 (NIV) As long as we have the breath of life, let us praise the LORD! Worthy is the LORD to receive all honor, glory and praise! There is no one like Him! Our great God is most high above all the earth, let us exalt His name together!

“As for Mephibosheth,” said the king, “he shall eat at my table like one of the king’s sons.” — 2 Samuel 9:11 (NKJV) When King David inquired about who was left of the house of Saul, Mephibosheth was hiding out in Lo Debar. King David sent for him and had him continually eat at his table. In Revelation 3:20, Jesus said, “ Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. ” Are you hiding out, when you have been called to dine with the King of kings and the Lord of lords?

The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.  — Psalm 29:10 (NIV) No matter what storms come, our everlasting God is greater and bigger. He is above any trial, trouble or natural disaster that comes into our lives. In Isaiah 43:2 (NLT) God says, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” Our heavenly Father is with us through it all and He will outlast all of the temporary circumstances of this world. My prayers go out to the families who have endured the fury of hurricane Isaac. May they know the LORD, that He is with them and that He is Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Amen.
