Manna for Your Morning

“ So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. ” — Matthew 6:34 (NASB1995) There are two things we know about the troubles we face today. One, they are light and  two, they are momentary (brief and fleeting). Second Corinthians 4:17 (NASB ) says: our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here. (2 Corinthians 4:17 VOICE) For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV) Walk by faith as you deal with today’s challenges, trusting YAHWEH to show you the way through each and every situation. Know this: my God will also fill every need you have according to His glorious riches in Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King. (Philippians 4:19 VOICE)

You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth. — Psalm 71:20 (NLT) Yahweh is a God of restoration. For our momentary, light affliction, this passing trouble, is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (See 2 Corinthians 4:17) The Message Bible says: These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. (2 Corinthians 4:17)  Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. — 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (MSG) The Bible describes the troubles we see today as light and momentary affliction. The good thing is that it is temporary, while the Word of God will last forever. He is faithful to fulfill every promise. Our Heavenly Father is always with us, and He has already made a way through every difficulty, trouble, and trial. Know that God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (See Philippians 4:19 NASB) For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. (Psalm 84:11 NLT)

When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation. — Proverbs 10:25 (NKJV)  When the storms blow into your life, remember they will also come to pass, but our God is with us forever. Our mighty God is an everlasting foundation. In Him, you are immovable and can stand firm. You will not be fazed by the momentary troubles, and light affliction.  The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18;2) He is a sure foundation. (Isaiah 28:16) O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction … (Jeremiah 16:19)

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. — 2 Corinthians 4:16 (MSG) No matter what difficulties you may be facing, do not lose heart. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17, NKJV). His grace unfolds in our lives each and every day. Yesterday’s shortcomings are covered by His amazing grace. Each day is new beginning and fresh start as the LORD showers us with new mercies and compassions. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16 NLT)

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) Even though get pressured from every direction, we never have to let the enemy crush our spirits. When we are perplexed, we know that God sees the whole picture and He is working for our good. When the enemy hunts us down, we never stand alone because God never abandons us. Events of this life may cause us to be battered and bruised, but no weapon formed against us shall prosper. We may get knocked down, but our heavenly Father gives us the strength to get back up again. So do not lose heart. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Corinthians 4:17, NKJV).
