Seize the Hope

Image
…so that through two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us. — Hebrews 6:18 (CSB) Why, my soul, are you so dejected? Why are you in such turmoil? Put your hope in God, for I will still praise him, my Savior and my God. (Psalm 42:11 CSB) This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. (Hebrews 6:19-20 NLT) God is our refuge and help. He is our only hope.  How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,  Who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them; Who keeps faith forever; — Psalm 146:5-6 (CSB)

Stay Tuned In

God’s Sunrise will break in upon us, shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace. — Luke 1:79  (MSG) In spite of the tense times we live in, as believers, we can experience everlasting peace. In the midst of the turmoil, we have the Prince of Peace, the One who has overcome the world. In the severe storms of life, we have the strong tower as a refuge. Stay tuned in to His Presence, and be led by His Holy Spirit. He will guide us along the right paths, one step at a time. He shows us the way of life and fills us with joy in His Presence. (Acts 2:28) The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. — Psalm 23:1-3 (NLT) Amen.

And His name will be called…

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6 (NASB) When you need someone to talk to, call out to the Wonderful Counselor. He is intimately acquainted with all our ways. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. (Hebrews 4:15 MSG) In the midst of turmoil, call upon the Prince of Peace. Jesus said, “ Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. ” (John 14:27 NASB) When you are feeling weak and weary, call on Jesus, our Mighty God. He is the strength of our lives. God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven...
