Lost & Found

Image
When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away! — Luke 15:6-7 (NLT) If you are lost today, let the Holy Spirit, be your GPS to guide you back home to Abba  Father, who loves you and has His arms open wide to draw you close to Him. “...I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:10  NASB)

Things to Remember

Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: — Psalm 103:1-2 (NKJV) Never forget the goodness of our great God and all the wonderful ways He blesses His people. He is everything that we will ever need. He is a constant Companion and a Faithful Friend forever. He is our GPS, as He leads us and guides us along on the path of life. He is our Healer, and the One who makes us whole. He is our Champion; our battles belong to Him and He has given us the victory! Because of Jesus, we are more than conquerors, we overcome. The LORD is kind and compassionate, full of mercy and grace. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities. (Psalm 103:10 NKJV) He delivered us out of the domain of darkness and brought us into His family. Oh what manner of love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God! He loved us first and chose us bef...

God's GPS

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. — Psalm 32:8 (NIV) When we don't know which way to go, we have God’s Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us.  His still small voice inside of you will guide you along the best pathway for your life. (Psalm 32:8 NLT) We also have His Word, which is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. (Psalm 119:105 NKJV). God’s Holy Spirit in you and His Word is the best GPS system. Be led by His Spirit and He will get you exactly where you need to be.

What's on Your Mind?

Be careful what you think, because your thoughts run your life. — Proverbs 4:23 (NCV) Our thoughts are like a GPS that tells us where to go. If we meditate on God’s Word our actions and speech will align with His Word. If we think loving, and kind thoughts, we will be more likely to walk in love and kindness. If you are experiencing anxiety or fear, check out what you have allowed your mind to meditate on. When your thoughts are fixed on the LORD,  you will be kept in perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3 NLT) Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. (Philippians 4:8-9a MSG)

Our GPS

Moreover You led them by day with a cloudy pillar, and by night with a pillar of fire, to give them light on the road which they should travel. — Nehemiah 9:12 (NKJV) As the Israelites wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, God led them with a cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night. Today, many of us rely heavily on our GPS to get where we need to go. However, God’s Positioning System (GPS) is His Holy Spirit within us. As we listen to God’s inner promptings, He will show us the way we are to take, to fulfill His plan and purpose for our lives. Sometimes our electronic GPS gives directions a little to late and we end up going the wrong way. But God always leads us in the right direction. He gets us in the right position and proper place at the perfect time. As we follow Him we will surely reach our desired destination.

Stay Attentive!

The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. — Psalm 32:8 (NLT) Yes, the LORD will guide us, but we must pay attention. Last night, on my way home, I got on the freeway going south instead of north. I drove four miles in the wrong direction before I read the sign and realized I was going the wrong way. This little incident was a reminder of how important it is to pay attention, if we want to arrive at our intended destination. As you journey through life, make sure you stay attentive to the leading and guiding of the the Holy Spirit within you. He is like a GPS system, He will guide you in the right direction, and along the best pathway!
