Manna for Your Morning

He who gives attention to the word will find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. — Proverbs 16:20 (NASB) Give attention to the Word of God and you will find good. His Word is living, active and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). It revives and refreshes. His Word strengthens (Psalm 119:28) and gives us hope. As we hear His Word, it grows our faith (Romans 10:17). It comforts us in our affliction and gives us life (Psalm 119:50). His word is truth (Psalm 119:160) and it sets us free from the lies of the enemy. His Word is a lamp that lights up our path and shows us which way to go (Psalm 119:105). God’s Word reveals His goodness, His grace and mercy, and the love He has for us in Christ Jesus our Lord. Be sure to give attention to Jesus. He is the living Word (John 1:14). When we meditate in the Word day and night, and be careful to do everything in accordance with all that is written in it, then we will make our way prosperous, and then we will have good success. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 (NLT) Jesus calls all people to come to Him, let us come thirsty. Rainwater that falls on hard ground rolls on without seeping in, but when the ground is thirsty, it absorbs the water and is changed. When we come to Jesus but resist submitting to His ways, our hearts are hard and we are not open to receive what He has for us. However, when we come to Jesus thirsty, wanting more of Him, His living water is able to penetrate our hearts and we are changed. He refreshes, revives and satisfies our souls. O God, you are my God; I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you… (Psalm 63:1, NLT)

Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. — Psalm 119:37-38 (NLT) The Holy Bible is a love letter from God, full of promises He makes to His Beloved, that’s us. His wonderful Word gives us life. It strengthens us and revives us. (Psalm 110:25, 28). The Word of God is our comfort in affliction (Psalm 119:50). His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Forever, His Word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89). When we stand on His Word, we are standing on solid ground. May we  meditate on it day and night. (Psalm 119:105)

I give new life to those who are humble and to those whose hearts are broken.”  — Isaiah 57:15 (NCV) Our God is exalted on high and He is also a God who dwells with His people. Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear (Isaiah 59:1 NIV). You are never out of His reach. He gives new life to those who humble themselves under His mighty hand. He restores crushed spirits and revives repentant hearts. “ I, even I, am He who comforts you… ”  Isaiah 51:12 (NKJV)
