However, in John 14:1 (NASB1995), He also says:  “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.” We can remain calm and be courageous when confronted with the temporary challenges of this world because Jesus has overcome the world. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. In John 14:27 (TPT) Yeshua said: “I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!” “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NASB1995) Have no doubt. ...despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] — John 14:27 (AMP) The peace that Yeshua gives us is a gift. We can choose to receive it or we can allow the enemy to steal it away by getting caught up in fear and anxiety. The peace we have in Yeshua is an abiding peace. It will outlast any storm. Instead of letting your heart be troubled, trust God. Nothing is too difficult for Him. As we remain in Him, we are not under the circumstances of this world, but above them. We are citizens in the Kingdom of God, which is a matter of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. When chaos and calamities confront the world, Believers are calm and undisturbed. Men and women of God do not panic, but remain in perfect peace, which transcends human understanding. Those in the world may be fearful, but children of God trust our heavenly Father and live by faith. Believers triumph over the troubles of this world, because we are in Christ, and Jesus has already overcome the world. Amen.

Instead, let the peace of God keep you calm in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge. “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. — Matthew 11:28 (TPT) An oasis is a pleasant or peaceful place in the midst of a difficult situation or troubling circumstance. Jesus is our calm in a troubled world. Come to Him and be refreshed. In Matthew 11:29-30 (MSG), Jesus says: “ I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly. ” We life free and light when we join our lives with Him and learn from Him. Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret … — Psalm 37:7a (NKJV)

The Lord answered her, “Martha, my beloved Martha. Why are you upset and troubled, pulled away by all these many distractions? Are they really that important? Mary has discovered the one thing most important by choosing to sit at my feet. She is undistracted, and I won’t take this privilege from her.” — Luke 10:41-42 (TPT) Luke 10:38 tells us that Martha welcomed Jesus into her home. She had good intentions by inviting Him in, but then she became totally distracted. Can you imagine how it would feel if you went to visit a friend and they had no time for conversation because they were too busy in the kitchen? May we always keep the main thing, the main thing: our relationship with Jesus. Choose to spend time with Him. Meditate in the Word day and night (Joshua 1:8). Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God (Hebrews 13:15). And in everything give thanks (1 Thessalonians 5:18). For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within. — 2 Corinthians 7:5 (NIV) You may be harassed at every turn and troubled on every side, but let faith and endurance produce its perfect result so that you may be completely developed in your faith, lacking nothing. The Message Bible says, consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. (James 1:4) Keep fighting the good fight of faith.

for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises] — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP) When Mary Magdalene told the disciples that Jesus was alive and she had seen him, they didn’t believe her. (Mark 16:11) Don’t be a doubting disciple. In John 20:29, Jesus said, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” In John 14:1, Jesus said, “ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ” May we confidently believe that Jesus is alive, willing and more than able to handle whatever concerns us. He is our mighty Savior and everlasting King. He rules and reigns in power and glory. He has overcome the world. Let us live in faith (a confident belief), that in Jesus, we have the victory.

And a cloud came and overshadowed them; and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!” — Mark 9:7 (NKJV) Let us hear Jesus. In John 14:1, Jesus said “ Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. ” Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6) When we believe in Him, we can abide in everlasting peace. In John 14:27 Jesus said, “ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ” In John 16:33, He goes on to say, “ In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world .” When He hung on the cross, in John 19:30, Jesus said, “ It is finished! ” May we hear Jesus, and continually walk with Him, taking each step by faith, no matter where He may lead us, knowing that Jesus has already accomplished victory for us.

While they were talking about this, Jesus Himself [suddenly] stood among them and said to them, “Peace be to you.” — Luke 24:36 (AMP) “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?” (Luke 24:38) Jesus, the Prince of Peace, has given us peace. In John 14:27 (AMP) Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” How can we live in peace regardless of circumstances? Because we have His Presence. In Matthew 28:20 (NLT), Jesus said, “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always , even to the end of the age.”

However, the LORD will keep in perfect and constant peace, the one whose mind is focused on Him because they trust in Him. (Isaiah 26:3) …cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. (1 Peter 5:7 AMP) As long as we abide in His peace, we will have courage and strength for every challenge that comes our way.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” — John 14:27 (NLT) How would you feel if you gave a loved one a very special gift and they never opened it? Let’s say they never even bothered to acknowledge it. They just left it sitting on the table, collecting dust. Sometimes, we bypass God's gift of peace and take on the burden of anxiety and worry. I imagine it hurts the heart of God when we don’t acknowledge the valuable gifts He has given. Our heavenly Father knows the benefit of the good gifts He has given to us; if only we would accept them and consistently use them. In Luke 10:19 (NLT), Jesus told His disciples, “Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy…” We have been given His peace and power and authority over our enemy. May we wisely benefit from the good gifts we have been given. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God o...

And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. — Luke 10:41 (NKJV) This time of year so many people run around feeling like Martha, worried and troubled about many things. Let us prioritize our list of tasks and give more weight to the important things. And the most important thing is to keep the main thing, the main thing, that is to celebrate the birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior. He is Immanuel: “God with us.” The Eternal One. The Prince of Peace and the living Word. Don't let the worries and cares of this world and the distractions of this season, with its worldly pleasures and man-made traditions creep in and choke the word of life right out of you. Set your attention and your affections on Jesus, the King of kings and the Lord of lords! And touching others with His love, joy and peace.

But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. — Mark 13:7-8 (NKJV) How are we to endure such turbulent times? We do this by looking away from all that will distract us and focusing our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.  Because of the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, disregarded its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2) The Message Bible says: “Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever.” May we never lose sight of the good and wonderful plan God has for each one of us.

Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me.” — John 14:1 (AMP) Be strong, and courageous and keep going forward. Trust God to make a way where there seems to be no way. “Now the just shall live by faith; but if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul. (Hebrews 10:38-39 NKJV) “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows.
