True Wisdom

Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever! — Psalms 111:10 (NLT) Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. The Fear of the LORD

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. — Psalm 111:10 (NKJV) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil. (See Proverbs 8:13 NKJV) The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that leads to obedience and worship] is a fountain of life, so that one may avoid the snares of death. (Proverbs 14:27 AMP) Proverbs 19:23 (NKJV) says, he who has the fear of the LORD will abide in satisfaction; He will not be visited with evil. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. (Psalm 34:7 NASB1995) In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. He Knows

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’ — Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) In the Message Bible, the LORD says: “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out —plans to take care of you, not abandon you…” (Jeremiah 29:11) Trust Almighty God, Who sees the whole picture. He has all your days written in His book and His plans for you are for peace and well-being. But [continue to] live in the [reverent, worshipful] fear of the LORD day by day. Constant Source of Stability

He will be your constant source of stability in changing times, and out of his abundant love he gives you the riches of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. Yes, the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure! — Isaiah 33:6 (TPT) In a constantly changing world, the LORD will be our constant source of security and the stability of our times. The Voice Bible says: God will be what holds things together, fast and firm during these times… (Isaiah 33:6a). He will hold our families together. He will hold His church together. It is key to fear, reverence and honor the Lord, our God. In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence... (Proverbs 14:26a NASB) Fix your thoughts upon the LORD. Lord, You have been our dwelling place [our refuge, our sanctuary, our stability] in all generations. — Psalm 90:1 (AMP)

Our Source of Stability

He will be your constant source of stability in changing times, and out of his abundant love he gives you the riches of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. Yes, the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure! — Isaiah 33:6 (TPT) In these constantly changing times, the LORD is the One who holds us stable and secure. In the midst of turmoil, He is our constant and everlasting peace. Keep your trust and hope in the LORD. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. (Hebrews 6:19 NLT)

Follow the Right Path

Those who follow the right path fear the LORD; those who take the wrong path despise him. — Proverbs 14:2 (NLT) Start with God—the first step in learning is bowing down to God; (Proverbs 1:7a MSG) Let us humble ourselves under His mighty hand, and realize, it’s not about us, but our great and mighty God. Respect and honor the one true God, Elohim, the all-powerful Creator. Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7 NLT) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; (Proverbs 8:13) The fear of the LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened. (Proverbs 10:27) In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. (Proverbs 14:26) Thus you shall act in the fear of the LORD, faithfully and with a loyal heart: (2 Chronicles 19:9) This is the right path, that leads to life.

Expand Your Life

The Fear-of-God expands your life; a wicked life is a puny life. — Proverbs 10:27 (MSG) Let us respect and honor the Lord, with reverential fear and awe. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. (Psalm 111:10 & Proverbs 1:7) Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times... (Isaiah 33:6a) In the [reverent] fear of the Lord there is strong confidence… (Proverbs 14:26a AMP). God arms you with strength, and he makes your way perfect. He makes your feet like the feet of deer, and sets you on your high places. (Psalm 18:32-33) The [reverent] fear of the Lord [worshiping, obeying, serving, and trusting Him with awe-filled respect] prolongs one’s life, but the years of the wicked will be shortened . — Proverbs 10:27 (AMP)

Pay Attention

... if you pay close attention to wisdom, and let your mind reach for understanding,  then you will understand the fear of the LORD and you will find the knowledge of God. The LORD gives wisdom. From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. — Proverbs 2:2, 5-6 (GW) Wisdom sings her song in the streets. In the public squares she raises her voice. At the corners of noisy streets she calls out. (Proverbs 1:20-21a GW)  Whoever listens to her will live without worry and will be free from the dread of disaster. (Proverbs 1:33 GW) If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NASB)

Our Sure Foundation

He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure. — Isaiah 33:6 (NIV) When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25 NLT). The LORD is the sure foundation for our times. Let us build our lives upon Him and utilize the resources He abundantly provides for us: a rich store of salvation, wisdom and knowledge. Whatever we build in Him will last forever, and not be shaken. He is the sure foundation that will last throughout all generations. Amen!

The Sure Foundation

He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure. — Isaiah 33:6 (NIV) No matter how unstable and volatile this world may be, our mighty God is the sure foundation. The Message Bible says: God keeps your days stable and secure (Isaiah 33:6). He has a rich store, an abundant treasure of salvation, wisdom and knowledge for those who fear and worship Him. The Amplified Bible says: the reverent fear and worship of the Lord is our treasure and His. Instead of being tossed to and fro by the circumstances of this life, stand strong on the sure foundation.

Do Yourself a Favor!

Grow a wise heart—you’ll do yourself a favor; keep a clear head—you’ll find a good life.  — Proverbs 19:8 (MSG) Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. Everyone who obeys His commandments will grow in wisdom (Psalm 111:10). The Message version says: The good life begins in the fear of God. When we have the fear of the Lord, we honor, respect, value and reverence Him above anything or anyone else. That respect and adoration will draw us to align our actions with God's will. As we obey our Heavenly Father we will experience continual growth in spiritual wisdom and insight.  That is where we find the good life! Amen.
