Some people store up treasures in their homes here on earth. This is a shortsighted practice—don’t undertake it. Moths and rust will eat up any treasure you may store here. Thieves may break into your homes and steal your precious trinkets. Instead, put up your treasures in heaven where moths do not attack, where rust does not corrode, and where thieves are barred at the door. — Matthew 6:19-20 (VOICE) Our culture tends to be of the gathering and collective nature. The proliferation of storage businesses serve as clear evidence. We store up all kinds of things. Some are attracted to glittery, shiny things and others are into loud and fast-moving things. Some stockpile money, gold, silver, coins, etc. However, money cannot buy the things that are the most valuable. May we treasure the glorious Presence of God-with-Us (Immanuel) more than anything. “Call on Me in the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.” — Psalm 50:15 (AMP) Before calling on human help or seeking assistance through social media outlets, let us call on Yahweh. His ear is always open to hear our cries. In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, and my cry for help before Him came into His ears. (Psalm 18:6 NASB1995) Call on Him because He cares for you and He is faithful to answer. On the day I called, You answered me; And You made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life.  — Psalm 138:3 (AMP)

And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.” — Luke 12:22-23 (NASB1995) But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also. (Matthew 6:33 AMP) Instead of worrying about food and the latest fashion, let us concern ourselves with the inner condition of our hearts and the state of our minds. In Luke 12:32, Jesus said, our Father has chosen gladly to give us the kingdom. What I’m trying to do here is get you to relax, not be so preoccupied with getting so you can respond to God’s giving. (Luke 12:29 MSG)  Seek first the Kingdom of God. And put more energy into developing a deeper relationship with YAHWEH and becoming more like Him, each and every day. ...

He did not say this on his own; as high priest at that time he was led to prophesy that Jesus would die for the entire nation. In John 17:20-21 (NLT), Jesus said: “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, watching the evil and the good. (Proverbs 15:3 NASB) The nearness of God is our good. (See Psalm 73:28) Even darkness is not dark to the LORD, and the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to HIm. (See Psalm 139:12) Praise God that He is always by our side. He dwells in us and around us. He never abandons us. One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD and to meditate in His temple. — Psalm 27:4 (NASB)

God’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up.  They’re created new every morning. How great your faithfulness! I’m sticking with God (I say it over and over). He’s all I’ve got left. — Lamentations 3:22-24 (MSG) God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It’s a good thing when you’re young to stick it out through the hard times. (Lamentations 3:25-27 MSG) Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see— how good God is. Blessed are you who run to him. — Psalm 34:8 (MSG)

A tenderhearted person lives a blessed life; a hardhearted person lives a hard life. — Proverbs 28:14 (MSG) “Don’t pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don’t condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you’ll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing.” (Luke 6:37 MSG) Live a blessed life, be tenderhearted: kind and gentle.

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. — Revelation 3:20 (NKJV) May your ears be open to hear. Jesus is calling your name. If you hear His voice, open the door of your heart and let Him in and give Him full access. Don't just confine Him to a closet that only gets opened on Sunday morning. Welcome Him into every crevice, every area of your life. He will cleanse it with His blood and fill it with His amazing love. A deep sense of peace will settle over your heart, mind and soul. Is the door of your heart open to receive Him? Do you allow Him access to every room on a daily basis?

“The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” — Ruth 2:12 (NKJV) May we all come and continually dwell in the shadow of the LORD’s wings. Come, not to seek a reward, but just to delight yourself in His Presence. Come with a sincere desire to know Him and be more like Him. Psalm 61:4 (NKJV) says, I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. We can confidently trust in the protective shelter and absolute security of His wings. There is healing power, in His wings. In Malachi 4:2 (NLT) He says, “But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture. As we fellowship with Him, we can experience emotional, physical and spiritual healing that truly sets us free and fills us with joy. Live your life under His wings and allow Him to carry you with the win...

...looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. — Hebrews 12:2 (NKJV) Jesus looked beyond the pain and suffering of the cross for the joy that was to come in fulfilling the Father's plan. No matter how hopeless the situation may appear at any given moment, do not lose heart. God has a plan for you that is good. Fix your eyes on Jesus and keep your hope in Him alive. This hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love (Romans 5:5 NLT).

Now that we know what we have—Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God—let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all—all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help. — Hebrews 4:14-16 (MSG) Only because of Jesus, do we have 24-hour access to God. He destroyed the barrier that separated us from our Heavenly Father. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God (Hebrews 4:16a NLT). Take the mercy. Accept the help!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, — 2 Peter 1:2-3 (NKJV) As we grow in our knowledge of God and of Jesus, our Lord & Savior, grace and peace will be multiplied unto us. Our great God has given us everything we need to live a godly life. He has given us ALL things that pertain (relate to) to life. Our physical healing pertains to life, the well-being of our children pertains to life, healthy, joyful relationships with our spouses, family and friends pertain to life. As we grow in our knowledge of God, and Jesus who is the truth (John 14:6), the less likely we are to believe the lies of the enemy. May we always endeavor to share an intimate, personal relationship with God the Father and Christ, His Son!

If the LORD had not been on our side     when people attacked us, they would have swallowed us alive     when their anger flared against us; the flood would have engulfed us,     the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters     would have swept us away. Praise be to the LORD,     who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird     from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken,     and we have escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD,     the Maker of heaven and earth.  — Psalm 124:2-8 (NIV) Praise God that He is on our side! If the LORD be for us, who can stand against us? Call on the name of the LORD, that is where our help comes from. He has not brought you this far, to leave you now. Hallelujah!

Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJ) This morning as I began thanking the LORD for all the wonderful ways He has blessed me, I got so excited when I thought about the new compassions the LORD continually pours on us. When we opened our eyes this morning, we were blessed with brand new compassions. We don’t have to carry over the old ones from yesterday. It’s not a recycling program. We get to start fresh this morning, His compassions are created new EVERY morning! His mercies have no limit and they never cease. His compassions never fail. Praise the LORD!

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NKJ) Don't let the enemy steal your joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength. It will allow you to rise above the circumstances of life and rejoice in the victory we have in Jesus. Leave your sorrows at the foot of the cross and put on a garment of praise. May our heavenly Father anoint you with the oil of gladness, until your cup overflows. Praise God for each precious moment He gives you to enjoy life.

The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries stood guard at the entrance. Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. "Quick, get up!" he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists. Acts 12:6-7 (NIV) Acts 12:5 says the church was earnestly praying to God for Peter. As a result of this constant prayer, God sent an angel to rescue Peter and the chains fell of Peter's wrists. What do you need to be freed from today? Ask the body of believers around you to pray to God on your behalf. Who can you intercede for in prayer? The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective (James 5:16). Love, Jackie

Going at once to Jesus, Judas said, "Rabbi!" and kissed him.  The men seized Jesus and arrested him. Then everyone deserted him and fled. Mark 14:45-46, 50 (NIV) There is nothing like the sting of betrayal or the pain of being deserted by those who professed to love you, but even Jesus Christ experienced betrayal and desertion. We can take comfort in knowing our heavenly Father will NEVER leave us or forsake us. He promises to be with us in the fiery flames and in the stormy flood waters. Praise the LORD! Love, Jackie
