Truly Honor Him

“For my people are determined to desert me. They call me the Most High, but they don’t truly honor me.” — Hosea 11:7 (NLT) Yahweh is not interested in lip service. Serve Him with a whole heart and a delighted soul; for Yahweh searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. (See 1 Chronicles 28:9 LSB) “Even Yahweh, the God of hosts, Yahweh is His name of remembrance. Therefore, return to your God, keep lovingkindness and justice, and hope in your God continually.” (Hosea 12:5-6 LSB)  “…Plant the good seeds of righteousness, and you will harvest a crop of love. Plow up the hard ground of your hearts, for now is the time to seek the LORD, that he may come and shower righteousness upon you.” (See Hosea 10:12 NLT)

Our Stability

Yahweh is exalted, for He dwells on high; He has filled Zion with justice and righteousness. And He will be the stability of your times, a wealth of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; The fear of Yahweh is his treasure. — Isaiah 33:5-6 (LSB) Stability will not be found in the government, the balance of your bank account, or any material possessions. The state of this world is constantly changing and full of turmoil and conflict. Yahweh is the stability of our times, and He does not change. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken. (Psalms 62:2 NLT) Trust in Yahweh forever, for in Yah— Yahweh Himself— we have an everlasting Rock. Take Refuge

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me, for my soul takes refuge in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge until destruction passes by. I will cry to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me. — Psalm 57:1-2 (NASB1995) In Hosea 11:9 the LORD says,  “…I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst…” He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; (See Acts 17:25) He is not far from each one of us. (See Acts 17:27) He knows when we sit down and when we rise up. He understands our thoughts from afar. He scrutinizes our paths and our lying down. He is intimately acquainted with all our ways. Even before we speak a word, He knows it all. If we should count His thoughts toward us, they would outnumber the sand. Jesus is The Way

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” — John 14:6 (NKJV) Jesus is the only Way to God, the Father. When we follow the world’s ways, or fleshly, selfish, desires, we end up taking detours away from God’s will and falling into deep, dark ditches or going down dead-end roads, that leave us feeling empty and hopeless. The ways of the LORD are higher than our ways, let us take the higher way (See Isaiah 55:8-9), and draw near to God. Jesus is the truth, and His name is called The Word of God (See Revelation 19:13). John 8:32 says: “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” We experience freedom when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and grow in our knowledge of Him as the living Word of God. May we continually be led by the light and truth of God's Word. (See Psalm 43:3) Jesus is the life. Then the people of Egypt will laugh at them. — Hosea 7:16 (NLT) Just like the times of Hosea, today, people look everywhere except to the Most High God. Return to the LORD, with your whole heart. “Return, O Israel, to the LORD your God, for your sins have brought you down. Bring your confessions, and return to the LORD. Patient Perseverance

…and you h ave perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary. — Revelation 2:3 (NASB) Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 TPT) We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. (Romans 5:3-4 NLT) We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. (James 5:11 NASB) The one who endures to the end, he will be saved (See Matthew 24:13)  … what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me! — 2 Timothy 3:11 (NASB)

Be Unshakable

I have told you these things so that you will be whole and at peace. In this world, you will be plagued with times of trouble, but you need not fear; I have triumphed over this corrupt world order. — John 16:33 (VOICE) No matter what you are being plagued with, the name of Jesus is higher and greater. God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every other name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow. Jesus has taken away the power of anything in this world to defeat us. Amen! In Jesus, we can abide in perfect peace and rest assured that He has already given us the victory. Hallelujah! Jesus said, “ I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world. ” — John 16:33 (MSG)

Grateful for His Goodness

I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him. — Romans 12:3 (MSG) Remember, God brings it all to us. He gives to us freely and generously. Let us be forever grateful for the goodness and grace of God. He gives us every perfect gift, not because of something we have done, but because He is good and He does good. Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! (Psalm 118:29a)

He Calms the Storm

Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. He calms the storm, so that its waves are still. Then they are glad because they are quiet; So He guides them to their desired haven. Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! — Psalm 107:28-31 (NKJV) Our heavenly Father will be your calm in the midst of the storm. Keep your eyes on Him and not external circumstances. He will bring you through the storm and safely guide you to your desired haven. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2 NLT)

Wait Patiently

Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, “Come, make us gods that shall go before us…” — Exodus 32:1 (NKJV) When Moses was delayed in coming down from the mountain, the children of Israel quickly turned away from following the LORD. (Exodus 32:8). When things don’t happen according to your timetable, remember Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV): To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. The LORD appoints a set time for events to occur and His perfect timing brings everything together in wonderful ways at just the right time. Let us wait patiently and continually look to the LORD, as our guide. Wait on the LORD, and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the land; (Psalm 37:34 NKJV)

No Secret

Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. — Mark 7:24 (NIV) Jesus is Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us (Matthew 1:23). His presence is not meant to be a secret. His presence destroys yokes and breaks bondages. He sets captives free. Tell others what He has done for you. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11). Because we have His light in us, we are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14 NLT). Come out of hiding and declare the wonderful works He has done in your life.

By His Spirit

  ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts . — Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV) It is not in our own power and strength that we overcome, but by the Spirt of the LORD. Be filled and led by the Holy Spirit who dwells in you. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God (Roman 8:14 NLT). As we live and walk in His Spirit, we are aligned to God’s will and we are victorious in the battles of life! He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 NKJV).

He is the ONE!

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”  — John 1:29 (NKJV) “And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”  — John 1:29 (NKJV) John the Baptist came to bear witness of Jesus Christ, but as he sat in prison he began to have doubts. In Matthew 11:2-3, he sent two of his disciples to ask Jesus, “Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?” What happens in the life of a believer, that he or she comes to a point where they begin to question God? Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God (Hebrews 3:12, NLT). No matter what adversities we face, we must never allow the enemy to get us to doubt our Lord and Savior and His goodness. Jesus is the One! He is the answer to every question and the solution to every problem.

Flourish in the House of God

But I am like an olive tree  flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. — Psalm 52:8 (NIV) In order to flourish in the house of God, we have to abide in Him long enough to take root. Just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7). Jesus said, “If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) May you flourish in the house of God and bear much fruit for His kingdom.

Experience His Extravagant Love!

And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19 (The Message) Jesus loved us and gave Himself for us, as the ultimate sacrifice. Let us be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ. Observe how Christ loved us. His love was not cautious but extravagant. He didn't love in order to get something from us but to give everything of himself to us. Love like that (Ephesians 5:2, The Message).

"Come Back!"

All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. . We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. Isaiah 53:6 (NLT) If you have strayed away from God's path to do your own thing, God is calling your name to return to Him. He will lead you to still, peaceful waters and restore your soul. Return to the LORD. He is all you need.

The Name of the LORD

Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;  he answers him from his holy heaven with  the saving power of his right hand.  Some trust in chariots and some in horses,  but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:6-7 (NIV) Let us not trust in the devices of man. Trust in the name of the LORD our God. His glorious name is above all names. The mighty name of the LORD is a strong tower. He has never forsaken those who call upon Him. He answers from heaven and saves with His right hand. Praise His holy name. Love, Jackie
