“After this time had passed, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven. My sanity returned, and I praised and worshiped the Most High and honored the one who lives forever. His rule is everlasting, and his kingdom is eternal. All the people of the earth are nothing compared to him. He does as he pleases among the angels of heaven and among the people of the earth. No one can stop him or say to him, ‘What do you mean by doing these things?’ — Daniel 4:34-35 (NLT) In Daniel 4:28-30, King Nebuchadnezzar looked out across the city and said: “Look at this great city of Babylon! By my own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display my majestic splendor.” Because of his pride, “He was driven from human society. He was given the mind of a wild animal, and he lived among the wild donkeys. He ate grass like a cow, and he was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he learned that the Most High God rules over the kingdoms of the world and appoints anyone he desire...

“ I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; And His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed .” — Daniel 7:13-14 (NASB1995) Many are saying, “Who will show us any good?” Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O LORD! Then Daniel spoke to the king, “O king, live forever! My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths and they have not harmed me, inasmuch as I was found innocent before Him; and also toward you, O king, I have committed no crime.” ...So Daniel was taken up out of the den and no injury whatever was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. — Daniel 6:21-23 (NASB1995) In Daniel 6:16, the king stated that Daniel served his God so faithfully. Even in the face of imminent danger, Daniel continued to trust Almighty God. And the Most High God showed Himself faithful to Daniel. He kept Daniel safe when he was cast into the lions' den. No matter what difficult situation you face, continue to believe in, rely on and trust in our mighty God. “ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride. ” — Daniel 4:37 (NASB1995) When the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar’s heart was lifted up and his spirit became so proud that he behaved arrogantly, he was deposed from his royal throne and his glory was taken away from him, until he recognized that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.  (See Daniel 5:20 & 4:25 NASB1995) God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, (See 1 Peter 5:5-6 NASB1995). We are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (See 2 Corinthians 5:20 NLT) Behold, Jesus stands at the door of your heart knocking. If you hear His voice and open the door, He will come in to you and will dine with you and you with Him. (See Revelation 3:20 NASB) “ Bring me everyone who is called by my name, the ones I created to experience my glory. I myself formed them to be who they are and made them for my glory. ” — Isaiah 43:7 (TPT)

…And behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the  fire; and after the fire a still small voice. — 1 Kings 19:11-12 (NKJV) After your life has been shaken, and things have been blown out of it by a strong wind, listen for His still small voice. The LORD is still with you. In Isaiah 43:2, He says:  “ When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. ”

You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! — Isaiah 26:3 (NLT) When we try to handle things in our own strength, we grow anxious and fearful and worry fills our minds. When we keep our minds stayed on our heavenly Father and His goodness, we are kept in His perfect peace. Dedicate your heart and mind to the LORD and you will live in perfect and constant peace. As we abide with Him, we experience fullness of joy and we can remain confident that He is able to fulfill every need with have. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 NASB) Know this: my God will also fill every need you have according to His glorious riches in Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King. — Philippians 4:19 (VOICE)

So Jesus told the crowd to sit down on the ground. After giving thanks, he took the seven bread loaves, broke them into pieces, and gave them to his disciples so they could hand them out to the crowd. They also had a few fish. He pronounced a blessing over the fish and told his disciples to hand them out as well. The crowd ate its fill. Seven sacks of leftovers were collected. There were well over four thousand at the meal… — Mark 8:6-9 (MSG) When Jesus gave thanks and pronounced a blessing over the little they had, the Father multiplied it and fed over 4,000 people. Instead of focusing on what we don’t have, may we thank God and pronounce a blessing over what He has already provided. Our heavenly Father is Jehovah-Jireh, our provider. And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 AMP)

We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. — 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (NLT) When troubles are pressing in on you from all sides, don't become discouraged, disappointed, or fearful. We may get knocked down, but we will get up again. Regardless of the external circumstances, God is with us and He has a plan. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9 NLT) For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. (2 Corinthians 4:17 NIV)

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. — Romans 8:28 (AMP) First of all, know that God is deeply concerned about you. Be glad and rejoice in His unfailing love, for He has seen your troubles, and He cares about the anguish of your soul (Psalm 31:7). Secondly, understand that He has a plan for you that is good. While things may not look good at the moment, remember that what you see today is only one page in the book of your life. Eventually you will begin a new chapter and overall, your life is one amazing, fantastic story. Just as the pit and the prison were part of Joseph’s story, he eventually made it to the palace and was in a position to save the Israelites from destruction. If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if his love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care— then do me a favor: Agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don’t push your way to the front; don’t sweet-talk your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don’t be obsessed with getting your own advantage. This is the day the LORD has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. — Psalm 118:24 (NKJV) The LORD has brought about this very day for a reason and a purpose. Why rejoice? He sustained you through the night and woke you up this morning, with His breath of life flowing through your body. Be filled with joy because He bestowed upon us, fresh, new compassions and mercies, at the start of this glorious day (Lamentations 3:22-23). We can delight ourselves with the fact that our great God is faithful (1 Corinthians 1:9). He who has begun a good work in you will complete it (Philippians 1:6). Be glad that by His divine power God has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, (2 Peter 1:3). The Lord richly blesses all who call on him, (Romans 10:12 NIV). That should thrill you to no end. And most of all, our hearts should be merry because, Jesus is with us ALWAYS, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Glory to God! Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.  — 1 Peter 4:10 (NIV) I came across this quote by W.T. Purkiser, that really spoke to my heart: “Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.” It reminded me of something I once heard in a sermon, that the cemetery is full of unsung songs because many people die, never having sang the song, God placed inside of them. We are so blessed! Each one of us has his own gift from God. Do not neglect the gift that is in you. When we use our gifts to their full potential, we magnify God with thanksgiving and bring glory to His kingdom.  I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. —Psalm 69:30 (NKJV)

Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.  — Jeremiah 2:32 (NKJV) Have you forgotten your God, days without number? Do you go days without giving God a thought? When we turn aside from following the LORD, we go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing (1 Samuel 12:21). Does Jesus ever have preeminence in your life? He is more important than football games, your children's sports, shopping, etc? Instead of just fitting God in wherever we can, let's build our lives around God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 (NLT) Surrender to the power of God's Holy Spirit who is at work within you. It is only by His Spirit that the battles of life are won. As we submit our wills, our minds, and our hearts to God, He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine, by His mighty power gently working in us. Glory to God forever and ever!

My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn't know the first thing about God, because God is love - so you can't know him if you don't love. This is how God showed his love for us: God sent his only Son into the world so we might live through him. 1 John 4:7-9 (The Message) Jesus said the two greatest commandments is to love the Lord your God and to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:37-39). In 1 Corinthians 13:13, the Apostle Paul declares that love is the greatest. God modeled the sacrificial love we are to have when He sent His Son as a sacrifice to pay the price for our sins. When spouses, children, relatives, friends and co-workers don't live up to your expectations, continue to show them unconditional love, the same unfailing love God shows us when we miss the mark. "If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." Daniel 3:17 (NIV) Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into a blazing furnace heated seven times hotter than usual. Not only did they come out unharmed, but the smell of fire wasn't even on them. The God we serve is more than able to do the same for you.
