Stay in Perfect Peace

Image
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength. — Isaiah 26:3-4 (NKJV) Experience constant peace as you let your thoughts focus on the LORD and His goodness, and mercy. Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always]. (Colossians 3:15 AMP) Now may the Lord of peace Himself grant you His peace at all times and in every way [that peace and spiritual well-being that comes to those who walk with Him, regardless of life’s circumstances]. The Lord be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:16 AMP) Amen.

No Separation

Image
Who shall ever separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? — Romans 8:35 (AMP) Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:37-39 AMP) Don’t get distracted and drift away, nor let your heart be deceived and turn to follow idols. Let there be no separation between you and Yeshua, our Lord and Savior, and His unfailing love. Abide in Him and live convinced that not even death can separate you from His amazing love.

Walk in the Light

Image
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” — John 8:12 (NASB1995) May we continually walk in the light and live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of Yahweh. Follow Jesus. He is the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Him. (See John 14:6 NASB1995) And indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin. (See 1 John 1:5-7 NASB1995)

El-Shaddai

Image
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am El-Shaddai—‘God Almighty.’ Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life. — Genesis 17:1 (NLT) Before the mountains were born or before You had given birth to the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are [the eternal] God. (Psalm 90:2 AMP) Our great God is El-Shaddai, the all-sufficient One. He is all-bountiful, the source of all our blessings. El-Shaddai is the One Who is more than enough. He is the One Who takes care of us. He is all-powerful, no problem is too difficult or complicated for Him to handle. Walk habitually before Him, with integrity, knowing that you are always in His presence. Be blameless and complete in obedience to Him. (See Genesis 17:1 AMP) For it is written [in Scripture], “As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give praise to God.” (Romans 14:11 AMP) “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my ...

Children of God

Image
Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. — 1 John 3:1 (NKJV) Look with wonder at the depth of the Father’s marvelous love that he has lavished on us! He has called us and made us his very own beloved children. (1 John 3:1a TPT) As children of the Most High, let us reflect His love and grace in our character and in all of our actions. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. (Romans 8:14 NLT) We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one. (1 John 5:19 NKJV) So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. (1 Peter 1:14 NLT) Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. (See Philippians 2:15 NLT) Those who have been born into G...

God is Good

Image
“ O Lord, you are so good, so ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask for your help. ” — Psalms‬ ‭86:5‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) “A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked. For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.” (Psalms‬ ‭84:11‬ ‭NLT)‬‬ He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s! (Psalms‬ ‭103:5‬ ‭NLT‬‬) Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing. (Psalms‬ ‭34:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬) Amen.

Wait for the LORD

Image
“What strength do I have left, that I should wait [and hope]? And what is ahead of me, that I should be patient and endure?” — Job 6:11 (AMP) When despair comes knocking on your door, don’t answer. Keep your hope and faith in God and in His wonderful Word. …those who wait for the LORD [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired. (Isaiah 40:31 AMP) Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD. — Psalm 27:14 (NLT)

He Strengthens & Empowers

Image
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] — Philippians 4:13 (AMP) When the enemy says: “ you can’t, ” remember, you can do all things through Christ. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. (Philippians 4:13 TPT) Don’t run ahead of Him and try to do it on your own. Follow Christ as He leads and guides you and He will enable you to do all that He has purposed for you. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. (Psalm 57:2 NLT) Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. — Philippians 4:13 (MSG)

Fresh Strength

Image
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. — Isaiah 40:28-31a (MSG)  Wait upon the LORD and He will give you fresh strength, to endure to the end. Trust in and rely confidently on the LORD with all your heart and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. (Proverbs 3:5 AMP) God lasts through the storm. Nothing is too difficult for Him.

With Outstretched Arms

Image
You who sit down in the High God’s presence,     spend the night in Shaddai’s shadow, Say this: “God, you’re my refuge.     I trust in you and I’m safe!” That’s right—he rescues you from hidden traps,     shields you from deadly hazards. His huge outstretched arms protect you—     under them you’re perfectly safe;     his arms fend off all harm. — Psalm 91:1-4 (MSG) Just like the father’s arms of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-24), our heavenly Father’s arms are outstretched toward us. No matter where you have been, He wants you to come to home, to come to Him, in His presence and under His protection. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings… ( Psalm 17:8 NKJV)

Sheep with a Shepherd

Image
Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. When he looked out over the crowds, his heart broke. So confused and aimless they were, like sheep with no shepherd. — Matthew 9:35-36 (MSG) Jesus came that we may have life, and have it to the full (John 10:10b, NIV). If we are limping through life, bruised and hurt, Jesus, the good Shepherd, wants to care for us.  He does not leave us on our own. If we are wandering through life aimlessly, and without purpose, Jesus shows us the way to a full, purpose-driven life. His light clears up any confusion and allows us to clearly see the way we need to take. Follow the good Shepherd.

Overwhelmed by Troubles?

Image
HELP! Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help! Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles. — Psalm 55:1-2 (NLT) In 2 Corinthians 1:8-9 (NLT), the Apostle Paul wrote, we were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it. In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God. In all of life’s challenges, may we learn to rely only on God. When we feel like we are about to drown in the sea of affliction, God is our life preserver. He will keep us afloat while He draws us into His safe haven. We can’t handle all that comes our way on our own, but praise God, we don’t have to.

Abundant Mercy & Loving-Kindness

Image
O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever! — Psalm 107:1 (AMP) The Lord is good and He does good. God is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness and truth (Exodus 34:6, AMP). He loves us with an everlasting love, a love never runs out on us. It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not (Lamentations 3:22, AMP). Keep your eyes on the Lord, for He will perfect that which concerns you; (Psalm 138:8, AMP)

Only the Best

The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”  — Psalm 32:8 (NLT) Things are not always as they appear. Proverbs 14:12 says, there is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. However, we can trust God to lead us along on the best pathway for us because He only wants the best for us. He will advise you as His eyes watch over you. Be wise and follow!

Our Goal

Whether we live in the body or move out of it, our goal is to be pleasing to him.  — 2 Corinthians 5:9 (GW) When it comes to pleasing people versus pleasing God, may we always strive to please God rather than man. Cheerfully pleasing God is the main thing, and that's what we aim to do, regardless of our conditions (2 Corinthians 5:9, The Message). First Thessalonians 4:1 encourages us to EXCEL in living a God-pleasing life even more than we already do. Amen.

Better than Life

I have seen you in your sanctuary and gazed upon your power and glory. Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you! Psalm 63:2-3 (NLT) Gaze upon the power and glory of the LORD. We can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature through everything God has made (Romans 1:20). Because His lovingkindness is better than life itself, let His praise continually pour forth from your lips.

Relief from Distress

Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer. Psalm 4:1 (NIV) Call upon the Lord and you shall be saved. When we call to God, He hears our prayers and sends the answer. God, in His great mercy, will deliver you from your distress. He sends peace in the midst of the storm and His perfect love chases our fears away.

Be Patient!

Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. Hebrews 10:36 (NLT) Through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God (Hebrews 6:12). We are to patiently endure the trials that come our way. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 instructs us to be patient with everyone. May we bear the fruit of patience in our relationship with God as well as our relationships with others. Let us wear the beautiful garment of patience wherever we go. As you encounter challenges with spouses, children, families, friends and co-workers, remember to exercise patience.  As God is patient with us let us be patient with others. Amen. Love, Jackie
