Manna for Your Morning

He who gives attention to the word will find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. — Proverbs 16:20 (NASB1995) Every word of God proves true. (See Proverbs 30:5 NLT) Let us regularly turn our attention to the Word of God, and let it renew our minds from the programming of this world. For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. (Hebrews 4:12 NLT) Don’t just listen to the Word, heed what it says. James 1:22 (AMP) says: But prove yourselves doers of the word [actively and continually obeying God’s precepts], and not merely listeners [who hear the word but fail to internalize its meaning], deluding yourselves [by unsound reasoning contrary to the truth]. In John 8:31 (AMP), Yeshua says:  “ If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. ”

Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people], making the very most of your time [on earth, recognizing and taking advantage of each opportunity and using it with wisdom and diligence], because the days are [filled with] evil. — Ephesians 5:15-16 (AMP) Listen to the Word of God and align your life to it. He who gives attention to the word will find good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. — Proverbs 16:20 (NASB) For good success in life, let us give attention to the Word of God, in what we believe, what we speak, and what we do. His word revives us and gives us life. It is our comfort in affliction (Psalm 119:50)  Rejoice at His word as one who finds great treasure. (Psalm 119:162) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you  shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. ( Joshua 1:8  NKJV )

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left. — Isaiah 30:21 (NLT) In the midst of adversity and affliction, may we look unto Jesus, our Champion and listen for His voice. Jesus said, His sheep recognize His voice and they follow Him because they know His voice. They won't follow a stranger because they don’t know his voice. (John 10:3-5) Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 4:6)  When we give attention to God, He leads us out into the open, into a spacious, free life. In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. (2 Corinthians 2:14 MSG) Choose life. Choose to follow Jesus, in good times and bad, through the storms and in the fiery furnace, knowing you are on your way to a glorious place.

His Word is living, active and powerful (Hebrews 4:12). It revives and refreshes. His Word strengthens (Psalm 119:28) and gives us hope. As we hear His Word, it grows our faith (Romans 10:17). It comforts us in our affliction and gives us life (Psalm 119:50). His word is truth (Psalm 119:160) and it sets us free from the lies of the enemy. His Word is a lamp that lights up our path and shows us which way to go (Psalm 119:105). God’s Word reveals His goodness, His grace and mercy, and the love He has for us in Christ Jesus our Lord. Be sure to give attention to Jesus. He is the living Word (John 1:14). When we meditate in the Word day and night, and be careful to do everything in accordance with all that is written in it, then we will make our way prosperous, and then we will have good success. May we be about doing whatever God has called us to do, with a sense of urgency and priority in our lives.
