in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. — Ephesians 6:16 (NASB) Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10 NASB) In addition to all the other pieces of armor, when we take up the shield of faith, the Word says we will be able to extinguish (put an end to) ALL the flaming arrows the evil one sends our way. Amen and hallelujah!  The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread? (Psalm 27:1 NASB) Believe in God, believe also in our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ. (See John 14:1)  Have faith in God. Trust in His goodness and His faithfulness. Let us declare the Word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and keep ourselves protected with the shield of faith. No matter what the enemy brings your way, remember that He who resides in you, is greater than the one in the world. For we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— (2 Corinthians 5:7 AMP) Jesus has already overcome the world. “ If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. ” (Mark 9:23) “ Do not be afraid any longer, only believe. ” (Mark 5:36 NASB)

…the righteous are bold as a lion. — Proverbs 28:1(NKJV) The righteous don't draw back when the enemy shows up because God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7 NLT) He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4) So when the fiery darts of the enemy come your way, hold up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16 AMP) Like the believers in Philippians 1:14, let us be confident and speak the word more boldly, without fear. The word of God is the sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17), which is our only offensive weapon.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. — Ephesians 6:10-11 (NIV) In order to stand up to everything the devil throws our way, we must clothe ourselves in the full armor of God, and use our weapon (the Word). Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:14-18 NLT) Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NKJV)

For we live by faith, not by sight. — 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV) Let's live our lives by believing God and His Word. As the Message Bible says, It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us? (2 Corinthians 5:7). We are to hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. (Ephesians 6:16 NLT). Circumstances may say “not enough,” but the Word of God says He will supply all of our needs (Philippians 4:19). He is the God of “more than enough!” Let us lay aside every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up, and run with endurance the race God has set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
