Manna for Your Morning

“For the word of God will never fail.” — Luke 1:37 (NLT) When the angel gave Mary the word of the LORD, she replied, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” (See Luke 1:38 AMP) Mary displayed a trust in God and a willingness to yield to His will. As followers of Christ, may we trust God and yield to His will, His Word and His ways. When we stand on the Word of God, we are standing on solid ground. Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled in heaven. (Psalms 119:89 NKJV) In Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV), Yahweh says: “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not establish it? — Numbers 23:19 (LSB) God cannot lie. (See Titus 1:2) He is the Promise Keeper. He is faithful to fulfill every promise He has spoken. Yahweh watches over His Word to perform it. In Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV) He says: “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” When we stand on the Word of God we are standing on solid and unchangeable ground. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. (Isaiah 40:8 NKJV)

The seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, but as they go on their way they are suffocated with the anxieties and riches and pleasures of this life, and they bring no fruit to maturity. — Luke 8:14 (AMP) May we have ears that hear and minds that understand the Word of God. May Yahweh open our eyes to see the wonderful truths in His instructions. (See Psalms 119:18 NLT) Let us treasure His Word in our hearts, that we may not sin against Him. (See Psalms 119:11) Never allow the cares of this life, nor fleeting pleasures, nor the desire for worldly riches to choke the living Word out of you. Trust God and be anxious for nothing. But as for that seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word with a good and noble heart, and hold on to it tightly, and bear fruit with patience. “Those on the rocky soil are the people who, when they hear, receive and welcome the word with joy; but these have no firmly grounded root. They believe for a while, and in time of trial and temptation they fall away [from Me and abandon their faith].” — Luke 8:13 (AMP) Never abandon your faith. Fight the good fight, finish the race, keep the faith. (See 2 Timothy 4:7) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. — Hebrews 11:3 (NKJV) Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down. Words form perceptions and establish beliefs. They can create hope and expectation. With your words you can crush someone’s spirit or you can encourage and support. Proverbs 12:18 says, the tongue of the wise promotes health. Words can be used to deceive or they can reveal truth. Proverbs 10:31 says: The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut out. What kind of environment are you creating with the words that come out of your mouth? Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV) May we speak words of life and truth.

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. — Hebrews 4:12 (NLT) Instead of focusing on the latest news, give your attention to the greatest news of all time, the Word of God. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) says: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. His word is a lamp to guide our feet and a light for our path. (See Psalms 119:105 NLT) So commit yourselves wholeheartedly to the commands of the LORD your God. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Teach them to your children. In John 8:31 (AMP), Yeshua says:  “ If you abide in My word [continually obeying My teachings and living in accordance with them, then] you are truly My disciples. ”

Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.” — Jeremiah 1:12 (NASB1995) The LORD actively watches over His word to fulfill it. Yahweh is faithful to fulfill every promise He has spoken. Believe His Word, in your heart and let it continually renew your mind. May we speak it out loud, and continue to stand on it, in the face of contrary circumstances. Amen. In times of spiritual warfare the Word of God (the Sword of the Spirit) is the only offensive weapon in our arsenal. “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be dismayed because of the king of Assyria, nor because of all the army that is with him; for the One with us is greater than the one with him. With him there is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people relied on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah. — 2 Chronicles 32:7-8 (AMP) Let us rely on the Word of God. Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry. Instead of compromising with the current culture or conforming to the ways of this world, spend time in the Word, growing in understanding of our Heavenly Father and His heart for all people. The Bible will renew our minds and transform us by changing the way we think. The Living Word will equip us and empower us to walk in His ways and according to His will. Point out anything in me that offends  you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. — Psalm 139:23-24 (NLT) The LORD will make known to us the path of life. (See Psalm 16:11) When we let the distractions of the enemy draw our attention away from God, we lose our sense of direction, and end up on some desolate dead end road. But our heavenly Father is faithful to guide us back to Him. May we give attention to the Word of God and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. — Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)   We guard our hearts by controlling the thoughts we allow to fill our minds. If we infiltrate our minds with constant negative news our hearts will be full of anger, hatred and fear. Let us renew our minds according to the Word of God. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. (See Romans 12:2 and Joshua 1:8) See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; (Hebrews 12:15 NASB) Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Their purpose is to teach people to live disciplined and successful lives, to help them do what is right, just, and fair. — Proverbs 1:3 (NLT) Having a disciplined life goes along with living a successful life. Exercising discipline helps us to stay focused. Let us be disciplined to read and meditate on the Word of God, day and night, so that we may be careful to do everything that is written in it. Then we will make our way prosperous, and then we will be successful. Do not deviate from the Word, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.
