Be Cheerfully Expectant

Image
Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. — Romans 12:11-12 (MSG) Let us be cheerfully expectant. Our God is faithful and His Word does not return to Him void. He is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, (Ephesians 3:20 NASB). Be on fire for Jesus and keep your hope in Him alive. Those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10b NKJV)

Praise the LORD!

Image
I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation. — Psalm 111:1 (NKJV) Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the Lord! (Psalm 150:6) If you are reading this, you have the breath of life in your body, so get your praise on. Turn it up! Praise the LORD! Praise, O servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD! Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its going down the LORD’s name is to be praised. (Psalm 113:1-3 NKJV) The works of the LORD are great! (Psalm 111:2a)  May His praise be on our lips, not just on Sunday morning, but throughout our day, every day of the week.

Fueled & Aflame

Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. — Romans 12:11-12 (MSG) The best way to stay full of His Spirit and on fire for the LORD, is to keep a constant connection with Him throughout your day, through prayer, praising and the giving of thanks. Let the difficulties and challenges draw you closer to Him. Look to our great God in cheerful expectation of the deliverance He will bring about in your life. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person is powerful and produces wonderful results. Be persistent and devoted to prayer, being alert and focused in your prayer life with an attitude of thanksgiving. (Colossians 4:2 AMP)

Fueled & Aflame

Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. — Romans 12:11-12 (MSG) Just as our vehicles need gas or electric power to keep running, we need to keep ourselves fueled by the power of God’s Holy Spirit who dwells inside of us. When we rely on His Presence in us, we are able to draw from the vast resources He has made available to help us in our time of need. Continually seek His wisdom, guidance, and strength. Let us be cheerful as we look to our heavenly Father with expectancy and hearts aflame with hope.

Cheerfully Expectant

Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. — Romans 12:11-12 (MSG) As we continue to renew our minds with God’s Word and pray fervently, we will be alert, fueled and aflame for the LORD. Instead of listening to the voices telling you to give up, pray all the harder, when you encounter difficult times. Then you can be cheerfully expectant, as you trust in and look to our heavenly Father to victoriously bring you through.

Triumph Over Opposition!

Image
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD. — Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) As the Amplified version says, this peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition is our heritage! In all these troubles, trials and tribulations, we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. Amen and Praise the Lord!

Serve with Distinction!

We don’t give people any opportunity to find fault with how we serve. Instead, our lives demonstrate that we are God’s servants. We have endured many things: suffering, distress, anxiety, beatings, imprisonments, riots, hard work, sleepless nights, and lack of food. People can see our purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives, our sincere love, — 2 Corinthians 6:3-6 (GW) Like the Apostle Paul, we must endure some things in this life, but let us also maintain a good witness before all. Hebrews 12:1 says we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. Let our lives reflect the presence of the Holy Spirit within us. May sincere love and genuine kindness be the source of everything we do and every word that comes out of our mouths. We are ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20), representing His Kingdom on the earth. Let's serve with distinction!

A Call to Action!

Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” — John 2:4-5 (NKJV) Many times, I have wished that I listened to my mother. Sometimes it's the mom's who speak the simple truths. The words Mary, the mother of Jesus, spoke to the servants are words that transcend the ages. They are timeless words of wisdom. If we just do whatever Jesus tells us to do, we can be assured that we will have favor and good success in our lives. No more excuses, it is a call to action. DO whatever He says to you. Then you will be able to speak the words of John 17:4, “I have glorified You down here on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.”

Victory is Ours!

No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD. — Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV) Don’t be intimidated by the sideshow distractions you see with your eyes or the bad report you hear with your ears. That is the enemy of your soul trying to induce fear and stop you from fulfilling God’s will for your life. Stand on the Word! God has not given us a spirit of fear. God’s Word says NO weapon formed against you shall prosper. He has already given us the victory in Jesus. This triumph over opposition is our heritage, as servants of the LORD. We are overcomers. Hallelujah!!!

Lift Up Your Hands!

Behold, bless the LORD, all you servants of the LORD, who by night stand in the house of the LORD! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.  — Psalm 134:1-2 (NKJV) Lift up holy hands in the sanctuary, and gratefully praise the LORD! Let us sing praises to our God, for He is good all the time. Our LORD is above all gods. The name of the LORD endures forever, His fame, throughout all generations. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the Leader and the Source of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Worship the Lord, with your entire being. Bless His holy name!
