Manna for Your Morning

“Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path. Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” — Proverbs 4:25-27 (NLT) Giving attention to sideshow distractions often lead to delays and detours that will leave us in dark ditches and on dead end roads. “…With fixed purpose, looking straight ahead, ignore life’s distractions.” (See Proverbs 4:25 TPT)  The distractions of this world will hinder you from moving forward on the path Yahweh has marked out for you. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. — Proverbs 4:25-26 (NASB1995) May we follow  the Word of God, and not turn aside from it to the right or to the left. The Word will keep us on the straight and narrow path that leads to everlasting life.  Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NASB1995) In other words, He will straighten out your crooked ways, as you stay submitted to Him.

Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. — Proverbs 4:25 (ESV) Quit looking in the rearview mirror of your life and look straight ahead keeping your eyes on Jesus, the good Shepherd and what He is doing in your midst. The Message Bible says: Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. (Proverbs 4:25-26) The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until the full day. (Proverbs 4:18 NASB) That means your best days are ahead of you. Today is a new day and God is doing a new thing. If God woke you up this morning, He has a purpose and a plan for you to accomplish with this day.
