He is adorned in holiness, glory and majesty. He is Adonai, the Master and Lord of our lives. We belong to Him. He is our Maker, the One Who formed us in our mother’s womb. They have bowed down and fallen, but we have risen and stood upright. — Psalm 20:7-8 (NASB) Boast in the name of Jesus. His name is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, and Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 says, even the government will rest on His shoulders. The battle is the Lord’s and He has already gained the victory. Amen! At the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)

  As an example, brethren, of suffering and patience, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. We count those blessed who endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome of the Lord’s dealings, that the Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. — James 5:10-11 (NASB) When it comes to suffering, let us remember Job and how God brought it all together for him at the end. Also, consider Jesus, … who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God . Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 124:8) David confronted his enemy, Goliath, in the name of the LORD of hosts (1 Samuel 17:45) and experienced a great victory for God’s people. (Psalm 113:1-3 NKJV) The works of the LORD are great! (Psalm 111:2a)  May His praise be on our lips, not just on Sunday morning, but throughout our day, every day of the week.

Or do you fall into pits of discouragement and defeat. When challenges come our way, we can run around aimlessly in doubt and confusion or we can run with purpose and determination to the name of the LORD. His name is above every other name. He is above any situation or circumstance that arises. Be willing to run and keep running, to the name of the LORD, until your race is won. He will deliver you from trouble. When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble. (Proverbs 4:12 NKJV)

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; Luke 2:10 (NASB) The good news about who Jesus is and what He has done for us, is for everyone, people all over the world, of every race, color and tongue. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:11-13 NIV) Let us continually call on the name of Jesus, our Savior. He brings great joy and a deep abiding peace, as we trust in Him.

Though the cherry trees don’t blossom and the strawberries don’t ripen, though the apples are worm-eaten and the wheat fields stunted, though the sheep pens are sheepless and the cattle barns empty, I’m singing joyful praise to God. I’m turning cartwheels of joy to my Savior God. Counting on God’s Rule to prevail, I take heart and gain strength… — Habakkuk 3:17-19 (MSG) When all in your world seems to be going wrong, the Lord is what is right. God is good, all the time. Regardless of our current situation, may we continue to rejoice and praise the name of the LORD. External circumstances are not the basis for our joy. We experience fullness of joy in His Presence. True joy comes in living closely connected to our heavenly Father. Whatever is going on in your life right now, know that God’s plans and His purposes for your life will prevail and keep praising Him.

Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted.  …and that all this assembly may know that the LORD does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the LORD’s and He will give you into our hands.” — 1 Samuel 17:45, 47 (NASB) So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and struck the Philistine and killed him. (1 Samuel 17:50a NKJV). David prevailed over his enemies because he knew that it was not about him, but God. He looked beyond the size of Goliath and saw his great big God. When the enemy taunts you, do you respond with the Word of God (your sword)? Let us have the proper perspective of the giants we face. Our God is always bigger and mightier and He will deliver us from the hand of our enemy!

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts. — Zechariah 4:6b (NKJV) As we face battles and challenges, in life, we don’t want to fight in our own strength. We win by letting the Holy Spirit work in us and through us. With God on our side who can stand against us? Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 124:8 NKJV). Amen!

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? — Romans 8:31 (NKJV) God is for YOU. He chose you. He accepted you and brought you into His family. And He loves you right where you're at today. Nothing can successfully stand against you! Our mighty God is greater than any doctor’s diagnosis. The name of the LORD is above every adverse circumstance that comes your way. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17 (NKJV)

Indeed it was for my own peace that I had great bitterness; but You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back. — Isaiah 38:17 (NKJV) It is because of His great love for us that our heavenly Father delivered our souls from the pit of corruption, emptiness and ultimate destruction. When we were falling deeper and deeper into the pit of darkness and despair, it was the hand of the LORD that reached in and pulled us out. No matter how far you fall, you can always call on His name and He will hear you. Oh what an amazing love God has lavished on us!
