A man’s mind plans his way [as he journeys through life], but the LORD directs his steps and establishes them. — Proverbs 16:9 (AMP) You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. (Proverbs 19:21 NLT) Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV) Seek His will and follow His guidance. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalms 32:8 NLT) “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the LORD, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11 AMP)

The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the LORD,
 and He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. When he falls, he will not be hurled down, because the LORD is the One who holds his hand and sustains him. — Psalms 37:23-24 (AMP) As we faithfully follow the direction of Yahweh, He will establish our steps. Depart from evil and do good; And you will dwell [securely in the land] forever. For the LORD delights in justice and does not abandon His saints (faithful ones); They are preserved forever, but the descendants of the wicked will [in time] be cut off. The righteous will inherit the land and live in it forever. (Psalms 37:27-29 AMP) …the salvation of the righteous is from the LORD; He is our refuge and stronghold in the time of trouble. The LORD helps us and rescues us; He rescues the righteous from the wicked and saves us, because we take refuge in Him. (See Psalms 37:39-40 AMP)

“My feet have carefully followed His steps; I have kept His ways and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips; I have kept the words of His mouth more than my necessary food.” — Job 23:11-12 (AMP) Treasure the Word of God in your heart so you may not sin against Him. (See Psalms 119:11) What is in your heart, will come out of your mouth. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) says: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Stay on the path Yahweh has before you. He will make known to you the path of life. His word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. (See Psalms 16:11 & 119:105 NASB1995) The path of life leads upward for the wise that he may keep away from Sheol below. May we continually follow the lead of His Holy Spirit each day, as He directs and guides us along the right path. Commit your way to Yahweh, trust in Him, and He will do it. (Psalm 37:5 LSB)  Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men, knowing [with all certainty] that it is from the Lord [not from men] that you will receive the inheritance which is your [greatest] reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you [actually] serve. (Colossians 3:23-24 AMP)

I waited patiently for the LORD; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth— Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear, and will trust in the LORD. — Psalm 40:1-3 (NKJV) We may plan our way, as we journey through life, but it is the LORD Who directs our steps and establishes them. Psalm 37:23 (NLT) says: He delights in every detail of our lives. Even though we get tripped up, we will not fall on our faces, because the LORD holds us by the hand. (Psalm 139:5-6 TPT) Find strength in the One Who holds your hand and sustains you. He has placed His hand of blessing on your head. ‘May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.’ — Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT)

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you. — Psalm 143:8 (NLT) Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23 NKJV) Praise God, that His mercies and compassions begin afresh each and every morning. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning. (Psalm 30:5 NLT) At the beginning of each new day, give yourself to the One who woke you up. It’s His breath in our lungs. We may make our plans, but the Lord directs our steps. Seek His guidance and He will show you the way in which you should walk.

So follow the steps of the good, and stay on the paths of the righteous. — Proverbs 2:20 (NLT) There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14:12) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; Jesus came that we may have life, and have it abundantly. (John 10:10) You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:11) In John 21:19, Jesus said to Peter, “Follow Me.” Let us do likewise. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.

“And whoever comes to me must follow in my steps and be willing to share my cross and experience it as his own, or he cannot be considered to be my disciple. All who seek to live apart from me will lose it all. But those who let go of their lives for my sake and surrender it all to me will discover true life!” — Matthew 10:38-39 (TPT) Surrender all and follow Jesus. Then you will discover the true life, a life of freedom and grace. Jesus came that we may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]. (John 10:10b AMP) Let us look to Jesus. The Message Bible says, “ If you don’t go all the way with me, through thick and thin, you don’t deserve me. If your first concern is to look after yourself, you’ll never find yourself. But if you forget about yourself and look to me, you’ll find both yourself and me .” — Matthew 10:38-39 (MSG) Amen.

When he falls, he will not be hurled headlong, because the LORD is the One who holds his hand. — Psalm 37:23-24 (NASB) We are never alone. The LORD is our constant companion. “Give your entire attention to what God is doing right now, and don’t get worked up about what may or may not happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes.” (Matthew 6:34 MSG)  He delights in every detail of our lives. (Psalm 37:23b NLT) When we stumble He is there to catch us. When we cry, He puts our tears into His bottle (Psalm 56:8)  The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. (Psalm 32:8 NLT) Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way. (Psalm 16:11 MSG)

Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]. — Proverbs 16:3 (AMP) First, we need to have a plan and write it down. Where there is no vision, the people perish; (Proverbs 29:18a KJV). Habakkuk 2:2 says, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.” Then, if we want our plans to succeed, let us commit them to the LORD. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. — Psalm 37:4-5 (NKJV) Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], and your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance] (Proverbs 16:3 AMP). The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. (Psalm 37:23-24 NLT) Amen!

Nevertheless I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand. You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. — Psalm 73:23-24 (NKJV) The Message Bible says: “ You wisely and tenderly lead me, and then you bless me. ” (Psalm 73:24). God does not force us against our will. He is gentle and compassionate. He speaks to us and patiently waits for us to listen and follow His wise counsel. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left (Isaiah 30:21). My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. (John 10:27). When we sync our steps with the LORD, we can walk in peace and confidence, knowing that He will never lead us astray.

Commit your works to the LORD [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]. — Proverbs 16:3 (AMP) Whatever goals or plans you have made for the coming new year, may you submit them to the LORD. Then, let us remember not to run off and do our own thing and end up turning to Him to fix a mess. Instead, continually seek the LORD and ask for His help and guidance along the way. We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps (Proverbs 16:9 NLT). Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails (Proverbs 19:21 NIV).

“Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.” — Matthew 2:2 (NKJV) When the wise men saw the star, they were filled with joy! They entered the house and saw the child with his mother, Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2:10-11 NLT). May we follow in the steps of the wise men. Let us be filled with joy as we gaze upon Jesus, the Bright and Morning Star. (Revelation 22:16). Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. (Psalm 95:6). And may our worship lead us to open the treasure chests of our hearts and give Him our all: our time, our talents and all that we hold dear.

for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]— we are [as I was saying] of good courage and confident hope… — 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 (AMP) The Message Bible says, “It’s what we trust in but don’t yet see that keeps us going. Do you suppose a few ruts in the road or rocks in the path are going to stop us?” (2 Corinthians 5:7-8a) Let us live by faith, with our speech and our steps consistent with what we say we believe. Walk confidently believing in our God and in His goodness. He will work everything together for good, in your life. Do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

Our walk and relationship with the LORD is not to be stationary and stagnant. In order for the LORD to direct our steps, we have to be going somewhere. As we put forth the effort to move forward, God will direct our steps. When we walk or run in the steps of faith and according to His Word, He will show us the  right paths to take. As we follow His guidance, we can be sure that our steps will be established and we will reach our desired destination. Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass (Psalm 37:5 NKJV).

And Moses said to them, “Stand still, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you.” — Numbers 9:8 (NKJV) Instead of rushing into something God has not called you to, stand still and wait to hear His instruction and guidance. Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for Him to act. (Psalm 37:7a NLT). Do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. (Psalm 37:7b NIV). And please remember me and do me a favor when things go well for you. Mention me to Pharaoh, so he might let me out of this place. — Genesis 40:14 (NLT) Joseph asked the chief butler to put in a good word for him to Pharaoh, however, the chief butler did not remember Joseph but forgot him (Genesis 40:23). However, God did not forget about Joseph and in due time, He exalted him over all the land of Egypt. (Genesis 41:41). Sometimes we try to make the right connections and orchestrate special favors, but may we realize the ultimate hook-up comes from God alone. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8 NKJV). God has plans for you that are good and He will direct your steps. (Proverbs 16:9). No matter where you are today, God remembers you and He is working for your good.

In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps. — Proverbs 16:9 (NIV) Few would board a plane with no flight plan, one that was just going to fly around awhile and then possibly land before it ran out of gas, at some unknown location. However, many coast through life, with no plan, jus t reacting to the winds that blow their way. Yes, the LORD has plans for us, plans to give us hope and a future, but we have to take the steps necessary to bring the plan to life. Chart your course and He will show you the way and the time. The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. (Psalm 37:23 NLT).
