Manna for Your Morning

Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the LORD, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” — Genesis 16:13 (NLT) Sarai treated Hagar so harshly that she finally ran away. However, the angel of the LORD found Hagar beside a spring of water in the wilderness... (See Genesis 16:6-7 NLT) Wherever we go, we can never escape from the Spirit of Yahweh. We can never get away from His Presence. (See Psalms 139:7) Psalms 139:9-10 says: “If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.” When it seems as though you are wandering in the wilderness, remember that He is “the God Who Sees me.” (El Roi) He is with you and is aware of your circumstances. The angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, “The LORD is with you, O valiant warrior.” Then Gideon said to him, “O my lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about…” — Judges 6:12-13a (NASB) God never said His people would not go through things. In John 16:33, Jesus warned that in the world we would have many trials and sorrows. The promise is that He is with us always. He is our constant Companion and Comforter. The Lord makes a way for us, through the storms of life. He gives us strength to persevere to the end. Take courage, Jesus has overcome the world. Continue in prayer and praise to our heavenly Father. Keep your trust and hope in the Lord. The  “ why? ”  of our circumstances is not as important as the  “ WHO ” In God, we have all we need to overcome.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and rescues them. — Psalm 34:7 (NASB) I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; he saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. (Psalm 34:4-7 NLT) Look to the LORD for help. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11 NASB)

When Elisha’s servant arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” (2 Kings 6:14-15) So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. — 2 Kings 6:16-17 (NKJV) When you wake up in the morning and it seems like the enemy has you surrounded, remember,  there are more on our side than on theirs! Greater is the One in us than he who is in the world. Do not fear, for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11) The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. (Psalm 34:7) I pray the LORD open your eyes that you may see with eyes of faith...

And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” — Judges 6:12 (NKJV) No matter what challenges you face today, remember, the LORD is with you, mighty man or woman of God. With God we are mighty. As long as you are with God, you are not pitiful, but powerful. With him, the weak can say, “I am strong!” With God, we rise from being victims to being victorious. We have overcome because the Spirit who lives in us is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. (1 John 4:4). “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV)

Then she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You-Are-the-God-Who-Sees; for she said, “Have I also here seen Him who sees me?” — Genesis 16:13 (NKJV) The Angel of the LORD found Hagar by a spring of water in the wilderness, after she ran away from her mistress Sarai. (Genesis 16:7-8). He told her, “the LORD has heard your cry of distress.” (Genesis 16:11). You may be wandering in the wilderness or going through a low valley, but know that God sees you and He has heard your cry. Many hardships and perplexing circumstances confront the righteous, but the LORD rescues him from them all (Psalm 34:19 AMP). The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles (Psalm 34:17 NLT). Amen. Call on His name today.

Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. — Zechariah 3:1 (NKJV) As we endeavor to follow God, we will face opposition and accusations. Revelation 12:10 says, Satan, the accuser of the brethren, accuses us before our God day and night. But we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous (1 John 2:1 NLT). Fear not! We have already won the victory over the evil forces of darkness because the Spirit who lives in us is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Amen and Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus!

When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, “The LORD is with you, mighty warrior.” — Judges 6:12 (NIV) “Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the LORD is with us, why has all this happened to us?” At some point in our lives, many of us have probably asked God this same question. Gideon went on to say that the LORD had abandoned them. But notice that the angel of the LORD didn’t give place to Gideon’s misplaced perspective. The LORD turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’s hand. Am I not sending you?” (Judges 6:14). Instead of wallowing in self-pity and misery, stay focused on the mission at hand and GO in the strength of the LORD, you mighty man or woman of God. You have been sent with a purpose! The LORD is with YOU!

The Angel told her that the LORD has heard her affliction. Not only are His eyes upon us, God’s ears are always open to our cries. He is with us in all our afflictions and troubles and He promises to deliver us from each and every one. The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles (Psalm 34:17). Praise the LORD!

Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. — Matthew 1:19 (NIV) After Joseph considered divorcing Mary secretly, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 1:20). When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife (Matthew 1:24). As a faithful man, Joseph was willing to allow his love to be a covering for Mary. He did not want to publicly shame or disgrace her. And even though he did not necessarily understand the situation, he obeyed God. Will you be a faithful man or woman of God and totally trust Him enough to just obey Him, when you situations in your life just don’t make sense? Will you keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins? (1 Peter 4:...

You can be certain that God is with you, because He said, He would never leave you or forsake you and our God is faithful. Let us remember that our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So fix your eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal (2 Corinthians 4:17-18, NIV). Surely God will be with you and you shall defeat your enemies (Judges 6:16).

This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! — Psalm 34:6-8 (NKJV) Call upon the LORD, in every situation and circumstance, and He will hear you and deliver you out of all your troubles. Because you have made the LORD your refuge, He has given His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:9,11). Surely, He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease (Psalm 91:3). Amen!
