Manna for Your Morning

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. — Joel 3:14 (NKJV) In spite of how you perceive yourself (your talents, your skills, and your abilities), you are a mighty in God. And no matter what career or profession you occupy, you have a call and purpose to fulfill in God. If we want to see God's wonderful plan manifest in our lives, we have to listen for His voice, and then we must respond with action. Don't waffle too long in the valley of decision. Make a dedicated decision to keep following God, wherever He leads, no matter what adverse conditions arise.

Then His disciples answered Him, “How can one satisfy these people with bread here in the wilderness?” He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?”  — Mark 8:4-5 (NKJV) What appeared to be lack to the disciples, fed four thousand people. They ate and were satisfied and the disciples took up seven large baskets of leftover fragments (Mark 8:8). We serve a God of more than enough. If you have been asking God "how?" look at the skills, talents and resources He has already given you. Thank God for them and start using them! He will provide whatever is lacking.

And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them, ‘Why have you been standing here idle all day?’   — Matthew 20:6 (NKJV) Jesus tells a story about a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. He went out again at 9 AM, noon, 3 PM and 5 PM. Jesus Christ is like the landowner and He is always looking for those who are willing to do His work. You have not missed your call. Don't stand idle. Jesus still has a job for you! Look at your skills and abilities. What are you passionate about? It's time to use whatever gifts you have for the Lord. Amen!
