The LORD was with Joseph, and he [even though a slave] became a successful and prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian. — Genesis 39:2 (AMP) When Joseph was taken to Egypt by the Ishmaelite traders, he was purchased by Potiphar, an Egyptian officer. He realized that the LORD was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did. So He put him in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. Potiphar’s wife began to look at him lustfully. She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day, but he refused to sleep with her. Eventually, she accused him of attempting to rape her and Joseph was thrown in prison. My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties, see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up in you the power of endurance. — James (Jacob) 1:2-3 (TPT) In John 16:33 (NLT), Jesus said: “Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” As long as we live in this world, we can expect to go through some adverse situations. …but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57 NASB1995) We can experience the greatest joy, knowing that whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. (See 1 John 5:4 NASB1995) Hebrews 12:3 (NLT) tells us to think of all the hostility Jesus endured from sinful people; then we won’t become weary and give up.

O my soul, come, praise the Eternal with all that is in me—body, emotions, mind, and will—every part of who I am— praise His holy name. O my soul, come, praise the Eternal; sing a song from a grateful heart; sing and never forget all the good He has done. — Psalm 103:1-2 (VOICE) Yahweh, you are my soul’s celebration. How could I ever forget the miracles of kindness you’ve done for me? (Psalm 103:2 TPT) He forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases. He redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy. He satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle. (See Psalm 103:3-5 AMP) He opens His hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. (See Psalm 145:16) If your heart is not satisfied in His Presence maybe it needs to be reset. YAHWEH is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those...

But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:41-42 (ESV) Are you anxious and troubled about many things? Instead of worrying about the ever changing events of this world, be like Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to His teaching. (See Luke 10:39) Listen for the still small voice of your Shepherd. Seek Him and His will first and foremost. Let His voice be the first voice you listen to in the morning. He will lead you forth in peace. The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” (Psalm 32:8 NLT)

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.   — Joshua 1:5 (NLT) “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 AMP) You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. (1 John 4:4 NKJV) “No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from Me,” says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17 AMP)

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. — Hebrews 4:16 (AMP) Jesus is not out of touch with our reality. (Hebrews 4:15 MSG) He understands our weaknesses and He is always ready to help in our time of need. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. (Hebrews 4:16 NLT) Endure difficult circumstances, being confident that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1 NASB) Amen.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:4-5 (NKJV) In the Amplified Bible Jesus says “… apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. ” (John 15:5) Our union with Him is vital. In order to live the abundant and fruitful life He intended for us, we have to abide in Him. Your cell phone or any electronic device is useless, unless it has been plugged into an electric source and charged. And a believer who is disconnected from their Source is unable to perform and function as we were created to. Let us stay connected to Jesus, the Source of our life. As we remain engaged with Him, we have everlasting peace that is not moved by earthly circumstances. When we are plugged into His Presence we experience fullness of joy, ...

Actually, I don’t have a sense of needing anything personally. I’ve learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I’m just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I’ve found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. — Philippians 4:11-13 (MSG) Let us be content regardless of the circumstances. Don't be moved or disturbed in difficult situations. Instead, trust God that He is able to bring you through whatever comes your way. He has equipped us for victory. We are more likely to live a fulfilling life when we seek our heavenly Father first, while passionately pursuing the purposes for which we were created. We are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of His house… (Psalm 36:8).

“…Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 (NKJV) From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. (Acts 17:26 NIV). God determined our appointed time in history, and where we were to live. We are here for a reason. God has a plan and a purpose for each one of us. We are to take the territory He has given us, for His kingdom. The workplace He has called us to, the positions we occupy, and the neighborhoods we live in are to be influenced by the kingdom of God within us. As we let the power of His love work through us, His light shines brightly, beckoning all to come to Him. When we utilize the gifts, talents and resources He has bestowed on us, to enrich the lives of others, He light shines, drawing others to Him, for such a time as this. His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way tow...

Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you believe [in Me], you will see the glory of God [the expression of His excellence]?” — John 11:40 (AMP) Lazarus had been dead four days when Jesus said, “Lazarus, come forth!” And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth.  Jesus said to them, “Loose him, and let him go.” (John 11:44 NKJV). Jesus is the resurrection and the life (John 11:25a). He can resurrect whatever dead situation or relationship exists in your life. Jesus is a God of restoration, He can bring that which is dead, back to life. “ If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. ” Mark 9:23 (NKJV)

For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. — Psalm 36:9 (NKJV) The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us (Psalm 118:27a NIV) and in us. Open your eyes to see His light. Let it lead you to living fountains of waters. His light will show you the way to abundant and eternal life. In His light, there is great peace and everlasting joy. Wisdom and truth reside in the light of the LORD. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light! (Ephesians 5:8)

Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they were bitter . — Exodus 15:23 (NKJV) When Moses cried out to the LORD, He showed him a tree. When he cast it into the waters, the waters were made sweet (Exodus 15:25). Our heavenly Father is a God of change. He turns our weeping into rejoicing (Psalm 30:5). He turns our mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). If any wrongs that have been done to you made your waters bitter, open wide the channel of your heart and let the LORD's cleansing waters freely flow. They are full of love, forgiveness and strength. He will take those bitter waters and make them sweet.

And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” — 1 Peter 4:8 (NKJV) Above ALL, have a passionate intensity to your love. People can dispute the words that come out of your mouth, but they will not disagree with the care, compassion and love you share. God is love (1 John 4:8). When we allow our hearts to embrace love, we are embracing the very nature of our heavenly Father. Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over ALL wrongs (Proverbs 10:12, NIV). Let’s turn up the volume of our love!!!

“Stop storing up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moths and rust destroy and thieves break in and steal. Instead, store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where moths and rust don’t destroy and thieves don’t break in and steal. Your heart will be where your treasure is.” Matthew 6:19-21 (GW) The material things we hold onto so dearly on this earth are temporary. Let our hearts be set a little higher, on the eternal things of heaven, on things of God's kingdom: righteousness, power, peace, love and joy. Value the Presence of Almighty God in your life, above all else. He is the most valuable treasure we can ever receive. Amen!

Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing. Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God. He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever. Psalm 146:3-6 (NIV) Blessed are those who rely on the LORD as the source of their help. They will be pleasantly satisfied. The help of a person, no matter how powerful, is temporary and limited. Hope in God, the Maker of heaven and earth. He is forever faithful.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) The Lord is our strength. Cast all your worries, anxieties and concerns on Him because He cares about you. He does not want you heavily burdened. Once you have given your them to God leave them in His hands. Don't pick them up again. Take up the yoke of the Lord, for His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:29). Love, Jackie

When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, "Come, make us gods who will go before us." He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, "These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt." Exodus 32:1, 4 (NIV) In Exodus 20:2, God says, "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything..." The Israelites made themselves an idol cast in the shape of a calf. What form do our idols have today? For some, the idol may be a rectangular-shaped box known as the TV. Anything we honor more than God becomes an idol in our lives. If we spend more time watching television than we do spending time singing praises to God, reading His Word or talking to Him in prayer, TV may be our idol. If we spend more time absorbed in our favorite shows than we do expressing our love for God and for our neighbors ...
