Manna for Your Morning

…and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. — Revelation 2:3 (NKJV) The dictionary says persevere means to continue in a course of action even in the face of difficulty or with little or no prospect of success. No matter how things may appear at this moment in time, we need to persevere. Let us always stand on God’s Word, persist in prayer and continually thank and praise God for victory and success in every area of our lives. Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail. (James 5:10-11 MSG)

God will always give what is right to his people who cry to him night and day, and he will not be slow to answer them. I tell you, God will help his people quickly. But when the Son of Man comes again, will he find those on earth who believe in him?” — Luke 18:7-8 (NCV) In Luke 18:1-6, Jesus told the disciples a parable about an unjust judge, to make the point that at all times we ought to pray and not give up and lose heart. God brought us through our past, He is in our present and He knows our future, so He always orchestrates events with such perfect timing. (Sometimes not as speedily as we would like.) I encourage you to keep praying! Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results (James 5:16 NLT).

Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour. — Matthew 15:21-28 (NKJV) What was it about the gentile woman that caused Jesus to tell her she had great faith? 1) She had a need and sought Jesus. May we have the wisdom to know that Jesus is the answer to every problem. 2) She asked Him to have mercy on her, then she made her request. Let us humble ourselves, and ask the Lord for help. 3) She worshiped Jesus and made another plea for help, after He informed her, that He was only sent to the house of Israel. When circumstances don't appear to be going in your favor, persist in prayer and praise. 4) She did not take offense, when  He said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” She stayed focused on her daughter's healing, and received the desires of her heart. Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. — Zechariah 9:12 (NKJV) When all things in  your life seem to be going awry, seek refuge in the strong fortress of our mighty God. Imprison yourself inside His walls of hope. Let your voice continue to sing His praises. Persist in prayer without ceasing and stand on His wonderful promises. As you praise, pray and remember His promises, you will keep your hope in our wonder-working God alive! May He give you double for your trouble.
