So don’t you see that we don’t owe this old do-it-yourself life one red cent. There’s nothing in it for us, nothing at all. The best thing to do is give it a decent burial and get on with your new life. God’s Spirit beckons. Wait Expectantly

In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. — Psalm 5:3 (NIV) Some people expected to touch the hem of the Lord’s garment and they were made perfectly well (Matthew 14:36). The centurion requested Jesus just speak a word and his servant was healed (Matthew 8:8, 8:13). He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20 NIV). What is your level of expectancy? “You will never rise above your highest level of expectation.” —Pastor Jeff T. Osborne. When you have done all you can do, look to the LORD and wait expectantly. My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him (Psalm 62:5 NKJV).

Continue to Shout Your Praise!

We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! — Romans 5:3-5 (The Message) Know that the trials you go through produce patience and perseverance. And that perseverance develops a strong and impeccable character. That character in turn, produces a hope that will not be disappointed. Continue to shout your PRAISE!

He Speaks Peace

I will hear what God the LORD will speak, for He will speak peace to His people and to His saints; But let them not turn back to folly.  — Psalm 85:8 (NKJV) Listen with expectancy for the voice of the LORD and what He will speak to you regarding your situation. Do not let the enemy steal your peace with his lies. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. The LORD will keep those whose mind is stayed on Him, in perfect peace, because he trusts in God (Isaiah 26:3).

Watch & Wait

In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare [a prayer, a sacrifice] for You and watch and wait [for You to speak to my heart]. — Psalm 5:3 (AMP) In the morning, lay your requests before the Lord, then watch and wait in anticipation, with a sense of expectancy. Here is what the Lord says to those who make the Most High, their dwelling place: “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” (Psalm 91:15-16) Call upon Him, watch, wait and listen. He will answer!
