Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.” — Luke 15:20 (NLT) Yeshua told a parable of “the lost son”: This younger son packed all his belongings and moved to a distant land, and there he wasted all his money in wild living. About the time his money ran out, a great famine swept over the land, and he began to starve. The young man became so hungry that even the pods he was feeding the pigs looked good to him. But no one gave him anything. When he finally came to his senses, he decided to go home. (See Luke 15:13-18) Our heavenly Father is full of love and compassion and His arms are wide open to welcome back those who have strayed away from Him. If you have wandered away, let His love draw you back into fellowship with Him. 

Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Come back to me! By returning and resting in me you will be saved. In quietness and trust you will be made strong. But you refused.” — Isaiah 30:15 (TPT) The LORD is a faithful God. He longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him. (See Isaiah 30:18 NASB1995) Yahweh desires for us to come to Him so He can show us His love and compassion. Isaiah 30:19 (NLT) says: “He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.” Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, “This is the right path; follow it.” (Isaiah 30:20-21 TPT)

In Matthew 11:28 (VOICE), Jesus says: “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” When we are yoked to Him, our weary souls find rest. Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. — Luke 10: 30 (NKJV) Have you ever felt deserted on the roadside of life, half dead? A certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where this man was. And when he saw him, he had compassion. Today, we have Jesus. He meets us wherever we are, and has compassion on us. Hallelujah!  The Samaritan went to the man, soothed his wounds with olive oil and wine and bandaged him up. Then he set him on his own donkey, brought him to an inn, and took care of him. (See Luke 10:33-34) Our awesome God heals our wounds, brings us into His house and takes care of us. Praise the Lord for His great grace, lovingkindness and mercy! But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand. — Isaiah 64:8 (NASB) In Revelation 22:17 (NLT), the Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. When we come to the LORD, may we present to him a heart that is open and pliable. Let your heart be molded by His love, gentleness, kindness and compassion. May it be filled with His peace, patience, goodness, and faithfulness. Receive the joy of His Presence. With our heart in the hands of the Potter, we will be the unique masterpiece He created each one of us to be.

Everyone knows our God can be trusted, for he keeps his promises to every generation! — Psalm 100:5 (TPT) The LORD is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation. (Psalm 145:9 NLT) The arms of the Lord are open and He says: "COME!" He is always ready to receive you. Make this your one purpose: to revere Him and serve Him faithfully with complete devotion because He has done great things for you. (1 Samuel 12:24 VOICE)

And his fullness fills you, even though you were once like corpses, dead in your sins and offenses. But God still loved us with such great love. He is so rich in compassion and mercy. Even when we were dead and doomed in our many sins, he united us into the very life of Christ and saved us by his wonderful grace! — Ephesians 2:1, 4-5 (TPT) Because of God's great mercy, grace and compassion, He called us out of darkness, and into His marvelous light, and into a glorious life in Christ. You are God’s chosen treasure—priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. For at one time you were not God’s people, but now you are. At one time you knew nothing of God’s mercy, because you hadn’t received it yet, but now you are drenched with it! (1 Peter 2:9-10 TPT)

The LORD appeared to him from afar, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (NASB) Abba Father loves us with an everlasting love. He continually draws us close to Him with His loyal love and inexhaustible compassion. No matter what you have done, He is like the father of the prodigal son, once we turn away from the worldly desires and distractions, and take that step towards Him, He runs to us with, His arms open wide.
