Manna for Your Morning

But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:41-42 (NASB1995) Mary sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But her sister, Martha was distracted with all her preparations. (See Luke 10:39-40) Are you worried and bothered about so many things? Don't let endless preparations and demands keep you away from Him. Make spending time, being still in the presence of Yeshua and listening to His Word a priority. It's in His Presence that we can experience fullness of joy, deep peace and pleasures forevermore.

“ But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit. ” — Jeremiah 17:7-8 (NLT) When we trust the LORD, He is our hope and our confidence. No matter what kind of storm comes, He give us the strength to persevere and overcome. As we stay planted in the house of the LORD and continually abide in His Presence, we will never stop producing fruit. Your strength will come from settling down in complete dependence on God. Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, says: “Come back to me! By returning and resting in me you will be saved. In quietness and trust you will be made strong. But you refused.” — Isaiah 30:15 (TPT)

She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Choose to stay close and intimately connected to our great, compassionate God. Keep your heart open to listen to Him, and receive His wisdom and truth. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.” — Luke 10:41-42 (NKJV) If you are worried and bothered about so many things, cast all your cares on the Lord. Psalm 68:19 (NIV) says, He daily bears our burdens. Instead of putting all your efforts into things that have no eternal value, choose that good part. Mary, seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching. (Luke 10:39 AMP) When we stay close to Jesus and follow His teaching we experience fullness of joy and peace. We will live the abundant life and draw others into the loving arms of God. That changes the world in the eternal realm.
