“ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and He is able to humble those who walk in pride. ” — Daniel 4:37 (NASB1995) When the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar’s heart was lifted up and his spirit became so proud that he behaved arrogantly, he was deposed from his royal throne and his glory was taken away from him, until he recognized that the Most High is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes.  (See Daniel 5:20 & 4:25 NASB1995) God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, (See 1 Peter 5:5-6 NASB1995). Those who follow the right path fear the LORD; those who take the wrong path despise him. — Proverbs 14:2 (NLT) Start with God—the first step in learning is bowing down to God; (Proverbs 1:7a MSG) Let us humble ourselves under His mighty hand, and realize, it’s not about us, but our great and mighty God. Respect and honor the one true God, Elohim, the all-powerful Creator. Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7 NLT) The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; (Proverbs 8:13) The fear of the LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked will be shortened. (Proverbs 10:27) In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. (Proverbs 14:26) Thus you shall act in the fear of the LORD, faithfully and with a loyal heart: (2 Chronicles 19:9) This is the right path, that leads to life.

Fear of the LORD is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death. — Proverbs 14:27 (NLT) Isaiah 12:3 (NASB) says we will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. Draw from the fountain of life and drink deeply, for your cup overflows. May we give honor and respect to our great God. In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence. (Proverbs 14:26a NASB) And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19)  Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:16 (NASB)

“Be still, and know that I am God!I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” — Psalm 46:10 (NLT) There is immeasurable value in knowing God our heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit at work in us. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him (Philippians 3:8-9a, NLT). The Amplified Bible says, it is a priceless privilege and supreme advantage to know Christ Jesus my Lord. (Philippians 3:8) Our lives do not have to be so complicated. When we still our minds from racing through “what if” scenarios and focus on drawing near to our God, He will make all things quite clear. Let us focus on His loving nature, His mighty power and infinite wisdom to bring us through life’s challenges, and He will provide exactly what we need, when we need it.

Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and the best. Your barns will burst, your wine vats will brim over. — Proverbs 3:9 (MSG) As we honor God by giving back to Him  and to others, He pours back into our lives in abundance so that we have more than enough. As Pastor Jeff Osborne taught on Sunday, there are givers, takers and matchers. Takers are only out for what they can get from others. Their mantra is “what have you done for me lately?” Matchers limit their giving to the extent that they receive from others. Givers, freely and cheerfully give. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (John 3:16a (NKJV). God gives us all things that pertain to life and godliness. His love knows no bounds; it is limitless. Freely we have received, let us freely give!
