He Calms Our Fears

Image
“For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) …God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV) And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world. Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love. (1 John 4:17-18 NLT) Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.” — Isaiah 12:2-3 (NKJV)

Perfect Peace

Image
“Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” — John 14:27 (AMP) Yeshua told His disciples that here on earth, we will have many trials and sorrows. (See John 16:33 NLT) So don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeals come. However, in John 14:1 (NASB1995), He also says:  “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.” We can remain calm and be courageous when confronted with the temporary challenges of this world because Jesus has overcome the world. Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 NLT) “Y...

Choose Peace

Image
Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] — John 14:27 (AMP) The peace that Yeshua gives us is a gift. We can choose to receive it or we can allow the enemy to steal it away by getting caught up in fear and anxiety. The peace we have in Yeshua is an abiding peace. It will outlast any storm. Instead of letting your heart be troubled, trust God. Nothing is too difficult for Him. (See Jeremiah 32:17 NASB1995) Be courageous and stay calm, no matter how chaotic the situation. “For the mountains may be removed and the hills may shake, but My lovingkindness will not be removed from you, and My covenant of peace will not be shaken,” says the LORD who has compassion on you. — Isaiah 54:10 (NASB1995)

Be Still!

Image
Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth. — Psalm 46:10 (TPT) In Psalm 46:10 the Message Bible says, “ Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything. ” Understand that our mighty God is above everything . He is above the current circumstances of this world, and He is above your current personal situation. Pause from busyness, and take a long loving look at the great “ I AM ”. Be still before the LORD. Center your thoughts on YAHWEH, Who He is, and all He has done. His love for you never fails, Our heavenly Father is mindful of everything that concerns you. Instead of being worried and anxious, be calm and confident. Psalm 37:7 (AMP) says, do not fret, whine, or agonize. As you cease striving, have an attitude of patience and trust in God. Trust in His goodness, His ability and His faithfulness. J...

Trust & Faith

Image
When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. — Psalm 56:3 (AMP) The Lord is my light and my salvation; he protects me from danger—whom shall I fear? (Psalm 27:1 TLB) For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. (2 Timothy 1:7 AMP) “ Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. ” — John 14:1 (AMP)

Mighty Savior!

Image
“ For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs. ” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) Our God is Immanuel. He is alive and He lives among His people. He is a mighty Savior. Jesus saves us from the penalty of our sins. The LORD is a good Father, Who delights over His children with gladness. His perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). Be strong, and courageous, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). “I, even I, am the LORD, and there is no savior besides Me.” — Isaiah 43:11 (NASB)

Power & Love

Image
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. — 2 Timothy 1:7 (AMP) God has not given us a spirit of fear. And if God has not given us something, we don’t want it. Refuse fear and walk in faith. God has given us a spirit of power. He has given us power to maintain a sense of peace in the midst of chaotic circumstances. We have power to respond in love, when others spew hatred. His Spirit empowers us to forgive those who have hurt or offended us. He has given us the power to speak His Word boldly. When we submit to God, we have power to resist the devil. (James 4:7). God has given you power to let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14). Amen. May we walk in the power of love of His Holy Spirit at all times. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and...

Stay Focused

Image
Now stay focused on Jesus, who designed and perfected our faith. He endured the cross and ignored the shame of that death because He focused on the joy that was set before Him; and now He is seated beside God on the throne, a place of honor. — Hebrews 12:2 (VOICE) The Amplified Bible adds: [looking away from all that will distract us and] focusing our eyes on Jesus … When we focus on current circumstances, which are always up and down, we can get distracted and drift away from God and His perfect will for us. Instead, stay focused on Jesus. He is always the same, and His years will never come to an end. When Jesus is our focal point, we maintain internal peace and calm, in the midst of external chaos. Believe in God, believe also in Jesus. (John 14:1) Trust God to provide what you need (strength, direction, wisdom, favor, healing, etc.) at just the right time.

Eternal Pleasures

Image
You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures. — Psalm 16:11 (CSB) Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) says: “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” Just as our heavenly Father delights in us, let us be filled with joy in His Presence, and know that He lives among us. Our culture values the freedom to pursue happiness, and we can only experience true joy as we continually abide in His Presence. It's in His Presence alone, that we are above every circumstance and situation. Amen. I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides You.” (Psalm 16:2 AMP) … You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life. As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment. — Psalm 16:11 (VOICE)

Ready to Help

Image
God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. — Psalm 46:1-3 (VOICE) Let us can remain calm and full of peace, in the midst of difficult circumstances. We can stand firm and secure, knowing that with God on our side, nothing can stand against us. Our God is near and He's always ready to help. You can be strong and immovable, because God will strengthen you and help you. He will hold you up with His victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10b NLT) So now, beloved ones, stand firm and secure. Live your lives with an unshakable confidence. We know that we prosper and excel in every season by serving the Lord, because we are assured that our union wi...

Stay Settled

Image
One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and started out. As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” — Luke 8:22-24a (NLT) I believe Jesus was able to sleep in the middle of the storm because He trusted the Father, and He knew He had power and authority over the storm. When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?”  (Luke 8:24b-25a) Let your faith be in Jesus, Immanuel (God with us). (Isaiah 7:14) Trust God and you too will have peace and calm in the middle of the storms. Be confident that you will sail through the storms and get to the destination God has promised to you.

Victorious Warrior

Image
“ The LORD your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. ” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NASB) When we open our hearts to Christ, we have the Spirit of a warrior dwelling inside of us, and not only that a victorious One. He will give you strength to keep up the good fight of faith. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. (Zephaniah 3:17b NLT) Open you heart to Jesus, today.

“Peace be to you.”

Image
While they were talking about this, Jesus Himself [suddenly] stood among them and said to them, “Peace be to you.” — Luke 24:36 (AMP) “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?” (Luke 24:38) Jesus, the Prince of Peace, has given us peace. In John 14:27 (AMP) Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.]” How can we live in peace regardless of circumstances? Because we have His Presence. In Matthew 28:20 (NLT), Jesus said, “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always , even to the end of the age.”

Our Oasis

Image
“Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn my ways and you’ll discover that I’m gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in me. For all that I require of you will be pleasant and easy to bear.” — Matthew 11:28-30 (TPT) In The Passion Translation, Jesus says, He is our oasis. An oasis is a pleasant and peaceful place found in the midst of hard and difficult terrain. In this chaotic world, Jesus is our calm. In a dry and weary land, He is a spring of living water. When we join our lives with His, we learn His gentle and humble ways. As we learn to draw our strength and all that we need from Him, we will rest and be refreshed. He who comes to Jesus shall never hunger, and he who believes in Him shall never thirst. (John 6:35)

Live in Peace

Image
Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] — John 14:27 (AMP) You cannot live in perfect peace, if you continually think about things that cause you to be anxious and fearful. However, the LORD will keep in perfect and constant peace, the one whose mind is focused on Him because they trust in Him. (Isaiah 26:3) …cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. (1 Peter 5:7 AMP) As long as we abide in His peace, we will have courage and strength for every challenge that comes our way.

He Rejoices over You

Image
For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” — Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT) Our heavenly Father is much like the father of the prodigal son. He only wants the best for us. When the lost son came home, his father told his servants, “ Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. ” And they began to be merry. (Luke 15:22-24 NKJV) God adores His children and enjoys spending time with us. He wants us to continually abide in Him. We call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” (Matthew 1:23) How do you respond to His gracious, generous love? Let us respond with grateful hearts, and thankful attitudes. Respond by loving Him and drawin...

He Lives among Us

Image
You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. — Psalm 139:5 (NLT) He goes before you to lead you. He follows behind, to protect you. His hand of blessing is on your head, providing all your needs. And His Spirit is in you, empowering you to be all that He created you to be. “For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)  Rejoice over the One who rejoices over you.

God is on the Throne

Image
In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul. — Psalm 94:19 (NKJV) Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression (Proverbs 12:25a). So when you are experiencing a multitude of anxieties, cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 NASB). He will comfort your soul. When you are upset and beside yourself, He will calm you down and cheer you up. (Psalm 94:19 MSG) No need to be anxious when our God is on the throne. He is bigger than any mountain you face. He is higher than any hurdle in front of you. He is more powerful than the storms that come, and He will see you through each one.

Victory Abiding

Image
Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid. [Let My perfect peace calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge.] — John 14:27 (AMP) Jesus, the Prince of Peace says: “don’t let your heart be troubled.” When challenges come, have the courage to persevere in the pursuit of all that God has for you. Go in the strength of the Lord God (Psalm 71:16). He has already established victory for us. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] (John 16:33b (AMP)

Peace! Peace!

Image
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”  — John 14:27 (NLT) Jesus gives a perfect peace that cannot be shaken or moved. What the world has to offer is chaos, empty promises and shallow, temporary emotional experiences. Let us hold onto the perfect peace of mind and heart that Jesus gives to us. When the doctor’s report comes back, when children stray from the narrow path that leads to life, when there is a rift in a relationship, stay in His perfect peace and remember we have the victory in Christ. According to the Amplified Bible, His perfect peace will calm you in every circumstance and give you courage and strength for every challenge. (John 14:27)
