Look No Further

Image
John’s two disciples found Jesus and said to him, “John the Baptist sent us to ask, ‘Are you the Messiah we’ve been expecting, or should we keep looking for someone else?’” — Luke 7:20 (NLT) We need look no further than Yeshua. In John 14:6 (AMP), Yeshua said: “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” In Matthew 16:16, Simon Peter said to Him: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 16:17 NKJV) In John 1:41 (NLT), Andrew went to find his brother, Simon, and told him, “We have found the Messiah” (which means “Christ”). May we tell all who come our way: Yeshua is the Christ, the Anointed One, Savior of the world. Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, le...

Hope in Him Alone

Image
We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone. — Psalms 33:20-22 (NLT) I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place. (Psalms 31:7-8) Love the LORD, all you godly ones! For the LORD protects those who are loyal to him, but he harshly punishes the arrogant. So be strong and courageous, all you who put your hope in the LORD! (Psalms 31:23-24) I entrust my spirit into your hand. Rescue me, LORD, for you are a faithful God. (Psalms 31:5) ...joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God. (Psalms 146:5) ...I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. — Psalms 27:13 (NLT)

Know This One Thing

Image
The very moment I call to you for a father’s help the tide of battle turns and my enemies flee. This one thing I know: God is on my side! — Psalms 56:9 (TPT) Know that God is for you. He is not against you. The plans and thoughts He has for you are for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 AMP) Trust in the Lord and praise Him! Trust in the Word of God. What harm can man do to you? With God on your side, you shall not be afraid of what may come. May your heart overflow with praise to God and for his promises. Always trust in him.”(See Psalms 56:10-11 TPT) Psalms 118:7-8 (AMP) says: The LORD is on my side, He is among those who help me; Therefore I will look [in triumph] on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.

Great is His Goodness

Image
How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. — Psalm 31:19 (NLT) Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! (Psalm 34:8 NKJV) The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. (See Psalm 33:5 NKJV) Yahweh is good and the plans He has for us are for good and not for disaster, to give us a future and a hope. (See Jeremiah 29:11 NLT) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. (Psalm 25:8 NLT) Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT) I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13 NASB1995) Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the ch...

He Gave

Image
When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and [voluntarily] gave up His spirit. — John 19:30 (AMP) Jesus, having prayed to the Father, that He wanted the will of the Father to be done (See Luke 22:42), willingly gave His life. Philippians 2:8 (AMP) says, He humbled Himself [still further] by becoming obedient [to the Father] to the point of death, even death on a cross. Our High Priest offered himself to God as a single sacrifice for sins, good for all time. Then he sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand. (Hebrews 10:12 NLT) For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. (Hebrews 10:10 NLT)
Let us accept all the Father has given us through Christ and His amazing sacrifice of love and grace. In light of all that Jesus has done for us, what are you willing to give, in obedience to Father? May we voluntarily surrender ALL to Jesus, for in Him we live and move and have ou...

Look to the LORD

Image
Let all the world look to me for salvation! For I am God; there is no other. — Isaiah 45:22 (NLT) Our salvation is not found in a political party, our bank account balance nor a religion. God did not call us into a religion, but into a relationship with Jesus the Christ, Immanuel. There is no one else who has the power to save us, for there is only one name to whom God has given authority by which we must experience salvation: the name of Jesus.” (Acts 4:12 TPT)  Blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. (Jeremiah 17:7 NLT) To live like this is all the more urgent, for time is running out and you know it is a strategic hour in human history. It is time for us to wake up! For our full salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. (Romans 13:11 TPT)

The LORD is for You

Image
Don’t be obsessed with money but live content with what you have, for you always have God’s presence. For hasn’t he promised you, “I will never leave you alone, never! And I will not loosen my grip on your life!” So we can say with great confidence: “I know the Lord is for me and I will never be afraid of what people may do to me!” — Hebrews 13:5-6 (TPT) God is for you. And with Him on your side, who can stand against you? (See Romans 8:31) What can come against you? “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17 NASB)

Remain Faithful

Image
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful. — 2 Timothy 4:7 (NLT) In 2 Corinthians 11:25-27a (NLT), the Apostle Paul tells us about some of the challenges he went through. He says: “ Three times I was beaten with rods. Once I was stoned. Three times I was shipwrecked. Once I spent a whole night and a day adrift at sea. I have traveled on many long journeys. I have faced danger from rivers and from robbers. I have faced danger from my own people, the Jews, as well as from the Gentiles. I have faced danger in the cities, in the deserts, and on the seas. And I have faced danger from men who claim to be believers but are not. I have worked hard and long, enduring many sleepless nights. ” Through all of this the Apostle Paul, knew it was a “ good ” fight. He kept the faith and finished his race. No matter what circumstances you face today, remain faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ, fight the good fight and finish your race.

Enter His Gates

Image
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations. — Psalm 100:4-5 (NASB) Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, and the sheep of His hand. (Psalm 95:6-7 NKJV) The LORD is the great God, and the great King above all gods. (Psalm 95:3) He is El Elhohim, the all-powerful creator of the universe. He is El Shaddai, the all-sufficient source of all our blessings. He is Immanuel, God with us. Enter His gates with raised hands and an open heart. Receive Him today. Let His love, mercy, and grace fill your entire being. He is good to all generations and He has a plan for you that is good.  He is worthy of all our praise.

Be Moved!

Image
Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!”And when He had come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, “Who is this?” — Matthew 21:9-10 (NKJV) Let us be moved by JESUS, the living Word that was in the beginning with God. (John 1:1) He is the resurrection and the life. (John 11:25) King of kings and Lord of lords! Be moved by His body, that was bruised and beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. (Isaiah 53:5) Be moved by the blood that trickled down the wooden cross; the blood that washes away our sins. (Matthew 26:28) Be moved by the statement Jesus made from the cross when He said, “ It is finished! ” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (John 19:30) In Him, we have already won the victory over sin and death. In Him, we have already overcome the world. Be moved by His tomb, that was found empty. He ...

Know His Name

Image
And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You. — Psalm 9:10 (NKJV) The name of the LORD is the only name you need to know. Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth (Psalm 124:8). Know that the LORD is the Most High over all the earth. His name is above all other names. His name carries more power than any sickness or disease. When we call on the name of the LORD He will answer. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm 20:7)

Love is a Demonstration

Image
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:8 (NKJV) “Love is not a declaration, it is a demonstration.” —Pastor Matthew Pollock. Love suffers long and is kind (1 Corinthians 13:4). Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things (1 Corinthians 13:7). Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8). What you say doesn’t count as much as what you do. Your actions speak much louder than your words. God never fails to show us the vast magnitude of the love He has for us. How will you demonstrate your love to those God brings your way today?

Peace & Power In His Presence!

Image
... in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] — John 16:33 (AMP) Jesus has conquered the world and deprived it of power over you. Praise the Lord! No matter what you are going through today, remember that we have the victory. Let us abide in Jesus, and His perfect peace will continually abide in us.

Peace Always!

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all. — 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NKJV) Are you like Martha, worried and troubled about many things? (Luke 10:41) Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus gave us His peace (John 14:27). Our God is the author of peace (1Corinthians 14:33). We can experience peace because the Lord is always with us. May  you stay in the perfect peace of the Lord, in all circumstances and in every situation, no matter what comes.

Patiently Endure

We have endured many things: suffering, distress, anxiety, beatings, imprisonments, riots, hard work, sleepless nights, and lack of food. People can see our purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives, our sincere love, truthfulness, and the presence of God’s power. — 2 Corinthians 6:4-7 (GW) Yes, like the Apostle Paul, we will have to endure some difficulties in this life. However, may we live our lives in such a way that people can see the Holy Spirit's presence in us and the presence of God's power at work. Let us walk in truth, with pure and humble hearts, continually growing in our knowledge of Christ. And may our love and kind acts be sincere and genuine.

He Holds Us Together

Be good to me, God—and now! I've run to you for dear life. I'm hiding out under your wings until the hurricane blows over. I call out to High God, the God who holds me together. He sends orders from heaven and saves me, he humiliates those who kick me around. God delivers generous love, he makes good on his word. Psalm 57:1-2 (The Message) Run for dear life to the Most High God, who holds us together. Take refuge under His wings until the calamities are over. Our heavenly Father generously showers us with His love and fulfills His Word.

Find Strength

David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6 (NIV) When David and his men returned to Ziklag, they found the town destroyed by fire and their wives and children had been taken captive. So David and his men wept aloud until they had no strength left to weep (1 Samuel 3-4). But David found strength in the LORD and recovered everyone and everything his enemies had taken (1 Samuel 30:19). In times of great distress, when life is bitter, we must find strength in the LORD our God. He will give us the power, by His Spirit, to recover all.

Don't Give Up

So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (The Message) The Apostle Paul encourages believers not to lose heart. The troubles we experience in this world last only a moment when compared to the future glory we will experience forever. Instead of focusing on the temporary, let us keep our eyes fixed on what is eternal. Love, Jackie
