You have granted me life and lovingkindness; And Your care has preserved my spirit.” — Job 10:8-12 (NASB1995) When Yahweh allows bad things to happen to us, we may have the distorted perception that He is out to get us. Job asked God: “…would You destroy me?” He didn’t know that in Job 2:6, God specifically told Satan to spare his life. Job lost a lot but he still had his life, his wife, his home, his friends and his mental capacity. May we always count our blessings, even in the mist of pain and suffering. And remember we don’t know the whole picture, right now we only see a part. May we keep the proper perspective of God. He is good and rich in grace. Job 12:10 says, the life of every living thing...

Start with God—the first step in learning is bowing down to God; only fools thumb their noses at such wisdom and learning. — Proverbs 1:7 (MSG) The first step in learning to live a truly abundant, peaceful and joyful life is in surrendering it all to God. It all begins with God, the one who created us; the one who knit us together in our mother’s womb. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. (Psalm 95:6a NIV) Bow down in acknowledgement that He is Almighty God, without Him nothing came into existence. He is our source. We are under His care. He is our provider. Bow down in worship with a grateful heart. He woke you up this morning and poured out new mercies and compassions on you. Worship Him for Who He is. Be thankful for all He has done and is doing in your life. Start your day by seeking God, His guidance and His wisdom.

There’s no telling who will hate you because of me. Even so, every detail of your body and soul—even the hairs of your head!—is in my care; nothing of you will be lost. Staying with it—that’s what is required. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry; you’ll be saved. — Luke 21:17-19 (MSG) Stand firm on your faith in Jesus, the living Word. Let us stay submitted to His will and His ways, knowing that He is able to take care of everything that concerns us. Our endurance will make the difference between being poor and pitiful or richly satisfied with all things that pertain to life and godliness. Holding onto our faith will take us from being weak and weary to being strong and being continually refreshed and made new. Instead of being victims of circumstances, we will be victorious overcomers. Instead of losing, we will win, in the eternal realm! Instead of being sorry, we will be saved! May we be courageous and remain confident in Christ and all He has done for us.

None of this fazes us because Jesus loves us. I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. — Romans 8:37-39 (MSG) Jesus, our Lord and Savior embraces us. He holds us close to His heart and nothing can separate us from His love. Don’t be fazed by the events of this world, because we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37 NKJV). Jesus is the good shepherd and we are the flock under His care. He protects us from the wolf who desires to come in, divide and destroy. Instead of letting the enemy woo us and get us to wander away from the Lord, let us stay in the sweet spot, in the safety of His fold.
