Manna for Your Morning

Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.” — Matthew 16:23 (NLT) May we see situations with eyes of faith, from Yahweh’s point of view. His ways are higher than our ways and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. (See Isaiah 55:9) Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. (Colossians 3:1-2 NASB1995) A mind set on the things of man is a tool for Satan to use. Let us have our mind set on the things of Yahweh and His Kingdom. 

Now when the attendant of the man of God had risen early and gone out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was circling the city. (2 Kings 6:15) When the servant asked Elisha what to do, he answered: “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” (See 2 Kings 15-16) Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. — 2 Kings 6:17 (NASB1995) No matter how difficult the circumstances you face, I pray that your eyes would be opened to see with eyes of faith. Though it may seem the enemy has you surrounded, remember that Yahweh is with you, and there are more with you than with the enemy. Amen.

However, Elisha said to his servant, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” Then Elisha prayed and said, “O LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” And the LORD opened the servant’s eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (2 Kings 6:16-17 NASB1995)  When it seems as though you are surrounded by the enemy, may your eyes be opened to see that there are more on our side than theirs. As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people from this time forth and forever. When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went outside, there were troops, horses, and chariots everywhere. “Oh, sir, what will we do now?” the young man cried to Elisha. “Don’t be afraid!” Elisha told him. “For there are more on our side than on theirs!” Then Elisha prayed, “O LORD, open his eyes and let him see!” The LORD opened the young man’s eyes, and when he looked up, he saw that the hillside around Elisha was filled with horses and chariots of fire. — 2 Kings 6:15-17 (NLT) Do not fear, for there are more with us than with the devil. The LORD will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11) May your eyes be open to see every situation through eyes of faith. You have surrounded me on every side, behind me and before me, and You have placed Your hand gently on my shoulder. — Psalm 139:5 (VOICE)

I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guardpost. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint. — Habakkuk 2:1 (NLT) Instead of getting anxious and fearful in response to a bad report from the enemy, look with eyes of faith to our heavenly Father. We can fully enjoy His Presence and remain in His peace, as we fully rely on the LORD. He will keep in perfect peace, all whose mind is stayed upon Him. So now, take your stand and see the great things which the LORD will do before your eyes. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me. (Psalm 63:7-8 NKJV) We can rejoice knowing that with God on our side, nothing can stand against us.

When Elisha’s servant arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. — 2 Kings 6:16-17 (NKJV) When you wake up in the morning and it seems like the enemy has you surrounded, remember,  there are more on our side than on theirs! Greater is the One in us than he who is in the world. Do not fear, for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. (Psalm 91:11) The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them. (Psalm 34:7) I pray the LORD open your eyes that you may see with eyes of faith...

Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’” And she answered, “It is well.” — 2 Kings 4:26 (NKJV) The son of this Shunammite woman had just sat on her lap and died. How could she say, it is well? She was not looking at the way circumstances appeared at the moment. She was looking with eyes of faith, that God would bring her son back to life. Because she believed in her heart, and didn’t speak the negative, but took action, her son’s life was restored. Do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18). No matter what you are going through today, “It is well!” Our God reigns and He is on your side.
