Hope in GOD

Image
Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you… — Psalms 42:5-6 (NLT) Remember that God is your rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer (See Psalms 78:35). He is with you and He is for you. …joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the LORD their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever. (Psalms 146:5-6 NLT) Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:5 NKJV) Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD. Then they remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer. — Psalms 78:35 (NKJV) May we always remember that we are children of the Most High God, and He is a faithful, faithful Heavenly Father. All the nations belong to Him. Know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that Yahweh, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:39 LSB) For You are Yahweh Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods. (Psalms 97:9 LSB). He is above ALL. He is over every circumstance in your life, over all diseases, and over every event that takes place on the earth. And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose. (Romans 8:28 AMP) Let us yield to His will, knowing that the purpose of the LORD will prevail.

Our Rock and Fortress

Image
He sang: “The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. He is my refuge, my savior, the one who saves me from violence.” — 2 Samuel 22:2-3 (NLT) In my distress I called upon Yahweh, and I called to my God; And out of His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help came into His ears. (2 Samuel 22:7 LSB) “Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until the danger passes by. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.” (Psalms 57:1-2 NLT) He reached down from heaven and rescued me; he drew me out of deep waters. (2 Samuel 22:17 (NLT) When overwhelmed and in distress, call upon Yahweh. He is faithful to hear and come to the rescue. He will give you His shield of victory; His help will make you great. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely. — Psalms 16:8-9 (LSB) Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, a costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed.” (Isaiah 28:16 NASB1995) He only is my rock and my salvation; My fortress and my defense, I will not be shaken or discouraged. (Psalms 62:6 AMP) Trust in, and remain committed to our mighty God. He is a strong refuge and a sure foundation for us. Rely on Him with unwavering confidence. Even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, fear no evil, for He is with you; His rod and His staff, will comfort you. Remember Our Rock & Redeemer

Image
They cause the poor to cry out, catching God’s attention. He hears the cries of the needy. But if he chooses to remain quiet, who can criticize him? When he hides his face, no one can find him, whether an individual or a nation. — Job 34:28-29 (NLT) Know that God hears the cries of His people. Psalm 78:35 says, the Israelites remembered that God was their rock, and the Most High God their Redeemer. Long for the LORD

Image
As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? — Psalm 42:1-2 (NASB) For God alone my soul waits in silence and quietly submits to Him, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; my fortress and my defense, I will not be shaken or discouraged. (Psalm 62:5-6 AMP)  God’s glory is all around me! His wrap-around presence is all I need, for the Lord is my Savior, my hero, and my life-giving strength. Join me, everyone! Trust only in God every moment! Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him. Believe me when I tell you—he will help you! Pause in his presence (Psalm 62:7-8 TPT) So then, my soul, why would you be depressed? Why would you sink into despair? Just keep hoping and waiting on God, your Savior. For no matter what, I will still sing with praise, for living before his face is my saving grace! — Psalm 42:5 (TPT)

Lead me to the Rock!

Image
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings. Selah. — Psalm 61:2-4 (NASB) When we are overwhelmed by life’s challenges, let us be led to the Rock. Lord, you are a paradise of protection to me.” — Psalm 61:2b-3a (TPT)

Be Rooted in the Rock!

Image
And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. — Colossians 2:6-7 (NLT) The Amplified Bible says: Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin], having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude. (Colossians 2:6-7) Let us be deeply rooted in Jesus, the everlasting Rock, and bear much fruit for the Kingdom of God. …and all drank the same spiritual drink. Remember, Your Redeemer Lives!

Let it Go Deep

Image
The seed that fell on rock is like those who hear God’s teaching and accept it gladly, but they don’t allow the teaching to go deep into their lives. They believe for a while, but when trouble comes, they give up. — Luke 8:13 (NCV) Let the Word go deep and permeate your heart, your mind and your life. Then you will not be inclined to give up. Don’t let the troubles and cares of this world choke the Word of life out of you. Instead, be like those who receive the Word on good ground. They hear God’s teaching with good, honest hearts and obey it and patiently produce good fruit. (Luke 8:15 NCV) You know we call those blessed [happy, spiritually prosperous, favored by God] who were steadfast and endured [difficult circumstances]. You have heard of the patient endurance of Job and you have seen the Lord’s outcome [how He richly blessed Job]. The Lord is full of compassion and is merciful. — James 5:11 (AMP)

Respond to His Greatness

Image
“ Listen to me, all you who are serious about right living and committed to seeking God. He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me. (Psalm 62:7  NLT) “Trust in the LORD forever, for in God the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock. (Isaiah 26:4 NASB) …just as it is written, “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.” (Romans 9:33 NASB) Listen, Heavens, I have something to tell you. Attention, Earth, I’ve got a mouth full of words. My teaching, let it fall like a gentle rain, my words arrive like morning dew, like a sprinkling rain on new grass, like spring showers on the garden. For it’s God’s Name I’m preaching— respond to the greatness of our God! The Rock: His works are perfect, and the way he works is fair and just; A Go...

Be Thankful!

Image
Oh come, let us sing to the LORD!Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms. — Psalm 95:1-2 (NKJV) I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. (Isaiah 61:10 NKJV) Be thankful. For the LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with you... (Psalm 42:8 NKJV). Take refuge in Him, for the battle belongs to the LORD. He will make your righteousness [your pursuit of right standing with God] like the light, and your judgment like [the shining of] the noonday [sun]. (Psalm 37:6 AMP) “May the LORD repay you for your kindness, and may your reward be full from the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take...

Wait Quietly

Image
Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken. — Psalm 62:5-6 (NLT) Let us wait quietly for God to work all things together for good in our lives. Philippians 2:14 (NKJV) instructs us to do all things without complaining and disputing. The Amplified Bible says: do everything without murmuring or questioning [the providence of God].  Wait with expectation and confidence. Our God is faithful. He will fulfill every promise He has made. His word does not return to Him empty, without accomplishing what He desires, and without succeeding in the matter for which He sent it. (Isaiah 55:11 NASB) So wait quietly, your hope in God will not be disappointed.

God Reigns!

Image
‘Do not tremble nor be afraid [of the violent upheavals to come]; Have I not long ago proclaimed it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? There is no other Rock; I know of none.’” — Isaiah 44:8 (AMP) Don't lose heart, be afraid, nor panic when trouble strikes. In spite of the violent upheavals, our God still reigns. And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  (Romans 8:28 NKJV) It is God’s purpose and plan that will prevail (prove more powerful than opposing forces). Amen!

Higher than I

Image
From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. — Psalm 61:2 (NKJV) When your heart is overwhelmed, cry out to the LORD for help. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2) He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. (Psalm 62:6) Always remember that God is your rock, and the Most High God your Redeemer.
