Manna for Your Morning

“I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.” — Psalms 40:1-2 (NLT) When we find ourselves in a pit of any kind, we can count on Yahweh to lift us up and out. When you cry out to Him, He is faithful to answer. He will turn your mourning into joyful dancing. He will take away your clothes of mourning and clothe you with joy... (See Psalms 30:11 NLT). He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear and will trust in Yahweh. How blessed is the man who has made Yahweh his trust, and has not turned to the proud, nor to those who stray into falsehood. (Psalms 40:3-4 LSB) “O LORD my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal . If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.” (Psalms 40:5...

He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the LORD. — Psalm 40:1-3 (NLT) The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. (Psalm 25:8 NLT) Just reflecting on the goodness of God and so grateful He called me out of darkness into His marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9b) He reached down and lifted me out of the pit of despair and destruction. If you are in a pit today, He is calling out to you. His hand is extended toward you. Grab a hold of our heavenly Father and get out of that pit. Amen.

Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God— soon I’ll be praising again. He puts a smile on my face. He’s my God. — Psalm 42:5 (MSG) When we feel depressed and overwhelmed, we have taken our eyes off of God and His promises and fixed them on our problems. However, the LORD’s delight is in those who fear him, those who put their hope in his unfailing love. (Psalm 147:11 NLT). Fix your eyes on God and He will lift you out of the pit of despair and set your feet on solid ground. The LORD is our helper. May your hope rest on His unfailing love.

“I called out your name, O God, called from the bottom of the pit. You listened when I called out, ‘Don’t shut your ears! Get me out of here! Save me!’ You came close when I called out. You said, ‘It’s going to be all right.’ — Lamentations 3:55-57 (MSG) No matter how low you go, its never to late to call upon the LORD. When you call out,  He hears your voice and draws near. When you're at rock bottom, He will lift you out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire (Psalm 40:2 NLT). The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him (Lamentations 3:25 NKJV).

The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The LORD loves the godly. — Psalm 146:8 (NLT) If you are bogged down with burdens, cast your cares on the LORD and He will lift you up. If you have fallen into a dark pit of despair, or depression, reach out your hand to God and He will bring you out. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along (Psalm 40:2 NLT). The LORD lifts up the humble (Psalm 147:6). Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up in honor (James 4:10 NLT). Lift up the light of Your countenance upon us, O Lord (Psalm 4:6 AMP) and we shall be lifted up.

God is with you, and He is mighty to save. He is a shield for you, your glory and the One who lifts up your head (Psalm 3:3 NKJV). Declare Psalm 121:1-2 (NKJV), “I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.”

Wait patiently and expectantly for Him (Psalm 40:1 AMP). The LORD will hear your cry and lift you out of the pit of despair. As the mud and mire of life pulls you down, He will draw you out and set your feet on solid ground.
