He Freely Gives

Image
“Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.” — James (Jacob) 1:17 (TPT) Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness… (2 Peter 1:2-3 NKJV) He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners. (See Psalms 146:7)  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God. (1 Corinthians 2:12 AMP) “For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give.” (Romans 8:32 TPT) As we have freely received the love...

Continual Guidance

Image
Yahweh will always guide you where to go and what to do. He will fill you with refreshment even when you are in a dry, difficult place. He will continually restore strength to you, so you will flourish like a well-watered garden and like an ever-flowing, trustworthy spring of blessing. — Isaiah 58:11 (TPT) When you don’t know what to do, always seek guidance from Yahweh. Seek His will through the Holy Scriptures. Be still, tune your ears to hear His still small voice and follow the leading of His Holy Spirit within you. He will show you the best pathway for your life. Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. (Psalms 1:1-3 NLT)

See Clearly

Image
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, — Romans 1:20-22 (NASB1995) May you have eyes that see clearly, and a heart that seeks to know Him. Honor God, Who is worthy of all our praise, and give thanks to Him for all He has done, is doing and will do. For behold, He who forms mountains and creates the wind and declares to man what are His thoughts, He who makes dawn into darkness and treads on the high places of the earth, the LORD God of hosts is His name. (Amos 4:13 NASB1995) Seek the LORD of hosts that you may live. (See Amos 5:4) Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD [with reverent awe and obedience] and turn [entire...

Press On!

Image
No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. — Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT) Instead of waiting for a future event or regretting past mistakes, focus on today and what the LORD is asking of you today. Today is the day the LORD has made. He is a very present and well-proved help for what you need today. Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” (Hebrews 3:15 NLT)

Nothing Too Difficult

Image
‘Oh, Lord God! Behold, You Yourself have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for You, — Jeremiah 32:17 (NASB) For the LORD is the one who shaped the mountains, stirs up the winds, and reveals his thoughts to mankind. He turns the light of dawn into darkness and treads on the heights of the earth. The LORD God of Heaven’s Armies is his name! (Amos 4:13 NLT) Nothing is too hard for the LORD to handle. So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT) The LORD is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him— my father’s God, and I will exalt him! — Exodus 15:2 (NLT)

The LORD is Near

Image
The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them. — Psalm 145:18-19 (NASB) But as for me, how good it is to be near God!  I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do. (Psalm 73:28 NLT)  Let us draw near with true hearts full of faith, with hearts rinsed clean of any evil conscience, and with bodies cleansed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:22 VOICE) May we continually draw closer to our heavenly Father with all of our hearts and minds, but also in our actions. Come close to the one true God, and He will draw close to you. Wash your hands; you have dirtied them in sin. Cleanse your heart, because your mind is split down the middle, your love for God on one side and selfish pursuits on the other. — James 4:8 (VOICE)

Receive the Word

Image
For as rain and snow can’t go back once they’ve fallen, but soak into the ground and nourish the plants that grow, providing seed to the farmer and bread for the hungry, so it is when I declare something. My word will go out and not return to Me empty, but it will do what I wanted; it will accomplish what I determined. — Isaiah 55:10-11 (VOICE) Acts 17:11 (NASB) says, the believers in Berea received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily… May we be open vessels to receive the Word of God and let it soak into the good soil of our hearts. It will nourish our spirits and restore life to us. Then we can feed a good Word to the hungry and hurting in our sphere. The Word of God cleanses and refreshes, and it stands forever. Amen. Unless Your law had been my delight, I would then have perished in my affliction. I will never forget Your precepts, for by them You have given me life. — Psalm 119:92-93 (NKJV)

Drink Living Water!

Image
“For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” — Jeremiah 2:13 (NLT)   O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who turn away from you will be disgraced. They will be buried in the dust of the earth, for they have abandoned the LORD, the fountain of living water. — Jeremiah 17:13 (NLT) “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;” (Isaiah 55:1 NKJV) Drinking from the wells of this world, will leave you empty and thirsty. When we drink of the Living Water, we are richly satisfied, and experience the abundant life. In John 4:13-14 (NKJV), Jesus said, “ Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life. ” And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Begin...

His Presence is the Highest Priority

Image
But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works. — Psalm 73:28 (NASB) Let us draw near to God for the sheer pleasure of being in His Presence. He will make known to you the path of life; In His presence is fullness of joy; (Psalm 16:11a NASB). He is a giver of every perfect gift, but the most excellent present of all, is His Presence. His Presence empowers us to become who He has called us to become and to do all that He has called us to do. He is our champion and constant companion. Always pursue a closer walk with Him. Our God is full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth. (Psalm 86:15). In His Presence we become more like Him. Can the people in your life tell you have been spending time in His Presence?

He is Concerned

Image
Then the LORD told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. — Exodus 3:7 (NLT) When you cry out to the LORD in the midst of your distress know that He hears you. He sees any injustices and he is deeply concerned about your suffering. He will deliver you from all your troubles. As Psalm 34:17 (NLT) says, the LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. Amen. Cry out to the LORD, for the battle is not yours, but God’s. (2 Chronicles 20:15)

What Are You Mindful Of?

Image
But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” — Matthew 16:23 (NKJV) The LORD has been mindful of us (Psalm 115:12). What thoughts do we fill our minds with? The mind occupied with merely human concerns has a self-centered focus: what “I” want and what “I” need. The mind filled with the things of God focuses on the Kingdom of God. Those mindful of the things of God, have a heart for God and are able to see things the way God sees them, not merely from a human point of view. When our minds are full of God thoughts, we allow His Spirit to lead us and we are able to walk in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Heavenly Father, may we fill our minds with thoughts of You. Where the mind goes, the man will follow.

Count on God!

Image
Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You. — Jeremiah 32:17  (NKJV) God is our protector and provider. He is our help and our deliverer (Psalm 40:17). The LORD preserves us and keeps us alive (Psalm 41:2). He is our Savior. His faithfulness reaches to the clouds (Psalm 36:5) You can count on Him! Nothing is too difficult for our God. Hallelujah!

Run Your Race

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. — Hebrews 12:1 (NLT) Endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:3). Indeed we count them blessed who endure (James 5:11). Someone is always watching, your children, co-workers, etc. We don't know who may be encouraged as they see our faith and perseverance. De-clutter your life and run the race that lies before you. Never give up!

Why So Disturbed?

Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God. — Psalm 42:11 (NIV) If you are downcast, disturbed or discouraged, look up. Put your hope in God! Nothing is too difficult for our great and mighty God. He is the God of peace and He is with you. The Creator of the universe loves you with an everlasting love and He has thoughts of you this morning, to lay before you brand new mercies. Praise the LORD! His compassion never fails.

Happy & Hopeful

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God, Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Psalm 146: 5-6 (NKJ) Happy and full of hope is the person who relies on Almighty God for help. There is nothing to difficult for the LORD, who made heaven and earth and all they contain. With the LORD as our helper, there is no need to fear. He is forever faithful.

Good for You

A cheerful disposition is good for your health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired. Proverbs 17:22 (The Message) A merry heart is good for you. It is like medicine to your soul, but feeding on the constant negative news of the world drains your energy. In the LORD's presence we have fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11). Our joy is not contingent upon our outer circumstances. Let us rejoice in His Presence.

Like a Shepherd

See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and his arm rules for him. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him. He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:10-11 (NIV) The LORD is our strong shepherd and we are the flock under His tender care. He calls us each by name and amply supplies all of our needs. The LORD lovingly carries us close to His heart, where we are comforted and protected. The good shepherd loves us so much He gave His life to save us. Praise the LORD!  Love, Jackie
