He Gives Grace & Glory

Image
For Yahweh God is a sun and shield; Yahweh gives grace and glory; No good thing does He withhold from those who walk blamelessly. — Psalms 84:11 (LSB) ...God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), (Ephesians 2:4-5 NASB1995). For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; (Ephesians 2:8 NASB1995). Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! “Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” (Psalms 30:4-5 NLT) Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. (Isaiah 60:1) He will turn your mourning into joyful dancing. He will take away your clothes of mourning and clothe you with joy. Sing praises to Him and...

Stand in Faith

Image
In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, “Thus says the LORD, ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.’” Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD, — Isaiah 38:1-2 (NASB1995) When King Hezekiah received the bad news of his impending death, he turned his back to the world, wept bitterly and prayed to God. Yahweh saw his tears and heard his prayer, and added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life. Habakkuk 2:4 (NASB1995) says, the righteous will live by his faith. In the midst of dark valleys, the faithful can see the light of hope shining through.  When faced with adverse situations, there may be some things or some people you need to turn your back on. Look to the LORD, and stand on His Word. Instead of letting fear and anxiety bombard your mind and heart, continue to believe. Trust God and know that He is with you. In Luke 18, Yeshua told a parable to show that at all times we ough...

Fight the Good Fight

Image
…fight the good fight, keeping faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and suffered shipwreck in regard to their faith. — 1 Timothy 1:18-19 (NASB1995) We fight the good fight of faith by setting our minds on things above, not on the things that are on earth. (See Colossians 3:2) Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. (See Matthew 6:33) But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. (1 Timothy 6:9,6:11 NASB1995)  Stay away from every kind of evil. And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. (See 1 Thessalonians 5:22 & Colossians 3:17 NLT)

Come Closer

Image
Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people]. — James 4:8 (AMP) When we draw near to God, it is a matter of the heart. James 4:8 (TPT) says: Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. Let us come close to our heavenly Father with a repentant heart. One that is soft and ready to be molded by Him. If our loyalty is divided between God and the world we are being double-minded. (See James 4:8 NLT) Don't let the desire for any earthly thing, lure you away from the Kingdom of God, which is about your righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (See Romans 14:17) May we cast off the ways and attitudes of this world and set our affections on Jesus, the Lord of lords and King of kings. He is our Mighty God (Isaiah 9:6), and the Savior of the World (1 John 4:14). Love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul,...

Believe & Build

Image
Therefore, this is what the Sovereign LORD says: “Look! I am placing a foundation stone in Jerusalem, a firm and tested stone. It is a precious cornerstone that is safe to build on. Whoever believes need never be shaken.”  — Isaiah 28:16 (NLT) The Foundation Stone is Christ, fully tested and proven to be faithful and secure. …no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have—Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11 NLT) In John 14:1 (NASB), Jesus says, “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me…” Believe in Him and build your lives up, on the firm foundation. “ Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.” — Luke 6:47-48 (NKJV)

Be Still!

Image
Surrender your anxiety! Be silent and stop your striving and you will see that I am God. I am the God above all the nations, and I will be exalted throughout the whole earth. — Psalm 46:10 (TPT) In Psalm 46:10 the Message Bible says, “ Step out of the traffic! Take a long, loving look at me, your High God, above politics, above everything. ” Understand that our mighty God is above everything . He is above the current circumstances of this world, and He is above your current personal situation. Pause from busyness, and take a long loving look at the great “ I AM ”. Be still before the LORD. Center your thoughts on YAHWEH, Who He is, and all He has done. His love for you never fails, Our heavenly Father is mindful of everything that concerns you. Instead of being worried and anxious, be calm and confident. Psalm 37:7 (AMP) says, do not fret, whine, or agonize. As you cease striving, have an attitude of patience and trust in God. Trust in His goodness, His ability and His faithfulness. J...

He Strengthens & Empowers

Image
I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] — Philippians 4:13 (AMP) We can do everything God has called us to do as we work through Christ. We can make it through anything because the One who is in us, is greater than he who is in the world. He strengthens us and empowers us. Be open and receive, and you will be filled with inner strength and confident peace.

Careful Watch

Image
“Behold, I am with you and will keep [careful watch over you and guard] you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this [promised] land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” — Genesis 28:15 (AMP) No need to worry because God is watching over you. The LORD is with you and He keeps careful watch over you. He is faithful to fulfill all His promises, because He watches over His Word to perform it. Instead of putting your mental energy into worrying about problems, set your mind on our mighty God, and His faithfulness. Then you will trust Him to handle your concerns and you can enjoy the pleasure and privilege of His Presence. Delight yourself also in the LORD, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NKJV)

He’s on Your Side

Image
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? — Psalm 118:6 (NKJV) LORD Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you (Psalm 84:12 NIV). It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man (Psalm 118:8 NKJV). Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe (Proverbs 29:25 NIV). The Lord Is faithful. When all others forsake you, the Lord will stand with you and strengthen you, as He did the Apostle Paul, in 2 Timothy 4:16-17. With God on your side, who can stand against you? Trust in the LORD always, for the LORD God is the eternal Rock. (Isaiah 26:4 NLT)

Strength & Peace

Image
The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace. — Psalm 29:11 (NIV) When we continually give our attention to problems, it produces anxiety, doubt and fear. It drains our energy and clouds our ability to think clearly. Let us focus on the LORD. As we keep our eyes on our mighty God and draw closer to Him, we maintain our peace. As we cast all our cares on Him and trust Him to provide the answer, we are able to draw strength from the LORD's limitless supply. You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! (Isaiah 26:3 NLT)

Hang on to Every Word

Image
She had a sister, Mary, who sat before the Master, hanging on every word he said. But Martha was pulled away by all she had to do in the kitchen. — Luke 10:39-40 (MSG) Jesus told Martha she was anxious and troubled about many things; (Luke 10:41 AMP), but Mary chose that good part. Be careful not to let the cares of this world distract you and pull you away from daily sitting at the feet of Jesus and listening to His teachings. He has the words of eternal life (John 6:68). And His word has given us life (Psalm 119:50). Hang on to every word.

God is On Your Side!

Image
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. My enemies will retreat when I call to you for help. This I know: God is on my side! — Psalm 56:8-9 (NLT) Whatever concerns you, is a concern to God. He sees every tear that rolls down your cheek and He knows the sorrows of your heart. Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall (Psalm 55:22 NLT). God is your helper and He is working for your good. Praise the LORD!

In Him We Live

‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ — Acts 17:28 (NIV) We originated in the heart of God. He himself gives life and breath to everything, and he satisfies every need (Acts 17:25, NLT). God wants to be in our every day life, in our homes, on our jobs and in our recreation. As our heavenly Father loves us and desires to fellowship with us, let our affections be toward Him. Only in Him will our true purpose in life be fulfilled. Let us live through Him and to His glory, in all that we do!

Help from Heaven!

I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. He will send help from heaven to rescue me, disgracing those who hound me. Interlude My God will send forth his unfailing love and faithfulness. — Psalm 57:2-3 (NLT) God sends help from heaven to rescue us. He disgraces those who harass His children. We are God's property! Our heavenly Father generously covers us with unfailing love, and faithfully fulfills His glorious purpose in our lives.

Good All the Time!

I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” I say of the holy people who are in the land, “They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.” Psalm 16:2-3 (NIV) Apart from God we have no good thing. Every perfect, desirable and beneficial gift we have comes from our Father, who made the sun, moon, and stars. He doesn’t change like the shifting shadows (James 1:17). He is good all the time! May we delight ourselves in the Presence of the LORD and revel in His great goodness.

He Smiles on You

May the LORD bless you and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace. Numbers 6:24-26 (NLT) When God woke you up this morning He smiled on you and poured out His compassions. As he leads you through your day, His favor is upon you. Enjoy the blessings He has imparted unto you: peace, protection and grace. He loves you with an undying love. Worship and praise the LORD with all your heart.  Love, Jackie
