Manna for Your Morning

Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” — John 4:13-14 (NKJV) When we draw from the well of the world for our needs, we will always have to go back and draw again. The things of this world will never satisfy our souls. When we open our hearts and receive Jesus we become the well that contains living water, His Holy Spirit. Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? (1 Corinthians 6:19a NLT) Jesus is our only hope. He is the source of all our joy and peace. He fills our cup to overflowing. He is the truth that sets us free, the living Word. Jesus saves and delivers. He is the answer to every challenge and situation. When we fully rely on God, we will not be disappointed. Amen.

Fear of the LORD is a life-giving fountain; it offers escape from the snares of death. — Proverbs 14:27 (NLT) Isaiah 12:3 (NASB) says we will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. Draw from the fountain of life and drink deeply, for your cup overflows. May we give honor and respect to our great God. In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence. (Proverbs 14:26a NASB) And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. (Hebrews 10:19)  Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. — Hebrews 4:16 (NASB)

“For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me— the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” — Jeremiah 2:13 (NLT)   O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who turn away from you will be disgraced. Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters;” (Isaiah 55:1 NKJV) Drinking from the wells of this world, will leave you empty and thirsty. When we drink of the Living Water, we are richly satisfied, and experience the abundant life. The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. — Isaiah 58:11 (NKJV) When we are dry, the LORD satisfies us with living water. As we draw from His eternal fountain of living waters, we will never run dry. He gives us strength to stand through every storm, strength to face each day as it comes. In His strength, we are able to continue on the path of life, He lays before us. We shall be like a well watered garden, fruitful and thriving.

Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.  — John 7:37 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). In Revelation 21:5-7, Jesus said, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.” What a glorious future awaits us! Come to Jesus and drink freely from the fountain of living waters, for we shall overcome. Amen!
