“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:4-5 (NASB1995) Yeshua is the true vine, and His Father is the vinedresser. (See John 15:1) In John 15:2 (TPT), Yeshua says: “He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest.” Yahweh takes care of the branches, that are connected to the vine. Our part is to stay connected to Yeshua. Then, we are able to live and bear good fruit in abundance. He is the source of life. In Him we live and move and have our being. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” — John 15:5 (NKJV) Jesus is the true vine (John 15:1) and we are the branches. He chose us and appointed us that we should go and bear fruit, (John 15:16a). In order to bear much fruit, we must abide in Him. If we don’t abide in Him, we wither and die. As we allow our roots to grow deep in Jesus, we not only survive —we thrive! As we stay connected to Him, we will produce the fruit of unconditional love, that is focused on others and not self. We will bear the fruit of joy that bubbles from deep within and touches those around us. When we abide in the vine, we bear the fruit of peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. “ By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. ” ( John 15:8 ). Glorify God and be a bountiful fruit bearer!
